Consumers' Take On Home Security Contracts


People move. Customer service is unhelpful. Money gets tight. These are all common reasons consumers want to move on from their current home security provider. However, if a consumer is locked in to a long-term contract they could be stuck. surveyed 2,000+ home security customers to find out what they preferred in a home security contract.

The vast majority of those who were included in our survey said that moving was the number one reason they wanted out of their contract. Some companies allow customers to transfer their service to the new home owners, but it does not always go as smoothly as planned.
