Atkins Alarm Systems, Inc. is a locally owned and operated low voltage company, serving Metro Atlanta and North Georgia since 1983.
Security System Overview
Atkins Alarm Systems offers a full line of security cameras and recording equipment to meet customer needs. Atkin’s central station is U.L. Listed, FM Approved and IQ Certified. Atkins offers their customers a variety of keypads from traditional to touch screen, key fobs, and panic buttons. They use a combination of contact switches for doors and windows, glass break detectors, and motion sensors to give customers the maximum protection available in increasing security.
All systems come with one-year parts and labor warranties and extended warranties can be purchased for an additional cost. Homeowners looking for a basic home security package can expect to spend $400 for equipment (paid upfront) and abut $18/month for monitoring through a home phone. Wireless cellular systems cost an addition $195 for the radio transmitter and bump the monthly price to $27.90 (but don’t require a landline).
Atkins does not lock its customers into longterm contracts. Atkins is fully insured, licensed, and bonded in the state of Georgia. They are members of the (ESA) Electronic Security Association, Georgia Electronics Life Safety and Systems, NFPA and AFAA.
Atkins Alarm Systems’ website is somewhat difficult to navigate to find important information. For example to learn more about their home security systems, visitors must navigate through four pages. Atkins is not a national company and only services select cities in Georgia. Atkins does not offer standard home security packages, thus while customized home security solutions are better, they also cost more money.
