Security System Overview
New customers are typically set up with a Honeywell cellular system that utilizes wireless technology and does not involve many physical alterations to the home. All new systems come with the following:

- Sign & stickers
- 24/hr monitoring
Like most ADT security dealers, Gaylord has a greater number of employees and resources than the local family-owned dealers. As a result, they are able to offer customers certain amenities that cannot be found with other companies, such as a money back guarantee if not satisfied after six months, relocation discounts, and a lifetime warranty on all equipment and labor. Also, as part of the ADT network, Gaylord customers are monitored by 4 interconnected monitoring centers in the U.S., meaning that if one center goes down customers will not be without constant oversight.
It’s also worth noting that of all the various ADT dealers out there, Gaylord was awarded the Highest Overall Customer Satisfaction Award by ADT in 2012, meaning that take great pride in putting their customers first. Furthermore, ADT was recently named “Best Buy” by Consumer Digest for offering the most affordable and reliable home security options in the nation.
One of the biggest problems with a national retailer like Gaylord is that sometimes customer service is slow and out of touch. For example, as reported on by customers on the Better Business Bureau, some customers reported problems with receiving multiple spam emails from Gaylord without notification or a clear option for unsubscribing. Others complained of unauthorized charges to their credit cards or trouble amending or canceling the contract. While most of these complaints were resolved in a timely fashion, they show a small trend in customer dissatisfaction.
