Well, Lifeshield did reply to my last post suggesting that I try again, so I did. I was again told that the person I was speaking to couldn't do anything, I was basically SOL. But he said he was going to transfer my case to a higher level and that the new person would contact me in the next 30 mins to 1 hour. That was at 12:15 yesterday and still not return call. I am basically a trusting person and believe that people will do the right thing. I am bothered by Lifeshield's response. I don't believe they are a scam, but they do practice deceptive sales ethics. The sale is the only thing that is important, regardless of how it is made. I am definitely not a satisfied customer. I would really like to talk to someone at Lifeshield besides the customer service reps.

I leased the Lifeshield Security system towards the end of last year. I intended to get a friend to help install the cameras, but that didn't happen and then it got too cold so I waited until this February to set the system up. I knew I could call Lifeshield to send someone out. I also knew I had 30 days last fall to cancel the plan. I didn't cancel it because I was going to get it installed. Then I got laid off from my job in February and I will now be moving to another state into senior housing so I won't be needing the system. I call Lifeshield up to find out about canceling the lease. This is when I found out that the system that was leased to me required Wi-Fi, which I don't have. Nor do I have access to high speed internet. I have now found out that I leased a system that I can't use. Had the sales person told me this I would never had leased the product. The Lifeshield person I spoke to in February told me that they are now including that information in their sales pitch, but since I was past the 30 return period it was too bad so sad for me. Since I did plan on using the cameras, I didn't cancel the lease in the 30 days. I purchased the plan in good faith. Lifeshield did not lease the product in good faith. Now I find out that I am still responsible for the entire lease even though they acknowledge that that product was sold to me without informing me of all the system requirements. Since I would never have purchased the lease if I had been told that I needed Wi-Fi, I feel Lifeshield, in good faith, should cancel the lease and forgive the remainder of the lease. I understand that I had 30 days to cancel the lease, but how was I to know I needed WI-Fi until I went to set the systen up and it didn't work? Lifeshield needs to make this right, but I was told by the rep that they wouldn't. I would love to hear back from Lifeshield saying they want to make this right. Beware of what you are buying and ask a lot of questions before purchasing. Make sure deception is not part of sales pitch.

Life Shield is a scam. The person who sold me the system did not explain being locked into a 3 year contract. She knew I only needed the system for 4 months for my daughter who was living in an apartment alone for one semester. I never even set up the equipment because it was so complicated. No one explained the trial period either. ADT should be ashamed for selling a product and leaving out crucial information. They salesperson lied. DO NOT BUY LIFE SHIELD!

Hugely misleading company who lied during the sales process in order to lock us into a 3 year contract. The “24/7” support is a complete lie. Try business days between 10am-5pm. Door sensors are garbage unless you don’t have a frame around your door. Team told us we have 60 days to return not 30, told us the current adt system we have is out of date and can’t be used (false but we thought we were talking to an adt rep), said the system can’t be don’t without cameras (we already have multiple nest cameras), and told us it was a month to month contact which it is after 3 years. We emphasized the last point as we move around a lot for work. When we tried to cancel the package it wasn’t possible. We brought us the issues above and they said they listened to the call and didn’t hear anything. We asked for a copy of the call as that didn’t match with our notes and they said it has been deleted. Lying scumbags who will do anything for a sale.

If I could give this company a negative review, I would. This product, and the company itself, are the absolute worst! The "do it yourself" part is easy but when you need a technician to come out to install a video doorbell camera, suddenly they can't help you. For over two weeks I have tried to get this company to fix the problems that they created (the video would not link with the base unit and the base unit stopped connecting to the wifi) but with multiple "I'm sorry's" that's all that I got. No calls to managers or supervisors, just transfers to "account specialists" and never a call back when you are promised. Avoid this company like the plague!

I would NEVER recommend anyone buy anything from this company. We ordered a system that could not be installed, their product didn't work, I sent it back after they gave me approval and a shipping label. Now they are saying "To bad it was after 30 days." Finally I found someone who said they would because of the circumstances. After talking with their account specialist they said it would be 14 days after they received the product back before the refund would come. It didn't, so I called and got this answer. "As a courtesy we cancelled your contract but we will not refund your original cost!". Even though they have the product now. When I first signed up with them they said my 76 year old mom could setup the system. Not the case. I live 500 miles away and by the time I got there to set it up it was about 20 days in. I spent 3 days and about 6 hours working with their tech support to get it to work. I even increased my internet speed and had my internet provider open 'ports' on my router, making it less secure just so their system would work. That didn't work either. They just continued to blame my isp and gave up trying to get it to activate.So now they have their crappy product back and I'm out $200! What a scam! Some companies do what's right but not LifeShield!

This company should be shut down! I am surprised that ADT is affiliated with them. The system is faulty and provides little no peace of mind. The sensors often report inaccurate readings, and the keypad doesn't work! For months, we had to turn our system on and off from the app only. The camera never worked! It would take random pictures throughout the day, but never when motion was detected. If someone breaks into your home, you won't see them on tape, but you may catch a glimpse of your front door before or after the break in. To top the horrible system off, the company has the absolute worst customer service! You are never able to speak to a manager, and they will hold you to your end of the contract as far as payment; however, they do not hold up their end by providing home protection.

This company is garbage! The equipment is something you would get at a mark down store and outdated. Does not always work properly and they will not send anyone out to help you with technical problems. I tried to cancel to go with a legit company and they wanted to charge me a huge cancellation fee. Their customer service closes at 7 p.m., so unless you work evenings, don't plan on getting in touch with this company. Again, my system doesn't work.

Do not under any circumstances sign a contract with this company. I foolishly have signed a 5 year contract and thank God this is my last year. The customer service and the system is awful. I have reached the end of my contract and have been trying for the last 3 months to cancel without success. I have called 4 times and each time spent at least 30 minutes on the phone being transfered to different people who in the end finally tell me for one reason or another they cant cancel my account. I am fed up I am writing to the better business bureau to lodge a complaint. It is ridiculous.

It is so easy to manage, was simple to set up, and we set it every day both when we're at home or when we're not. I was looking for a good alarm service, I had just relocated to a new area and was searching for security company that met my needs. Now at "sales pitch" worth selling because I was sold. So, i got the service in November 2017 very difficulty to install (my son had the tech on the phone and still problems). Now, every month i was calling the alarm company because the alarm was going off for no reason. i was sitting in my driveway when the alarm went off and LifeShield representative said that I wasn't home and that he needed me to reset my alarm. I can't get out the contract they make you pay the remaining balance so if i have 2 years left I have to payout the 2 years. I do not like this company I cant wait till this contract is over, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

They offered me new equipment when I tried to cancel but couldn't come close to the cost of features of the other company I switched to.. they told me my account auto renews and I am in the middle of a contract even after 5 + years and are now charging me an early termination fee. Beware of what you are getting. Ask the salesperson to repeat what you are getting twice. Be advised that what you get and the monthly payments are based on your credit. So you will not get what you ask for. They are currently introducing and month to month deal as well as a 30 day cancellation new customers who started the service on mid Feb- present. Meaning, if you are a current subscriber you are not grandfathered into deal and you are only entitled to what you signed on contract, so stop negotiating and threatening to cancel when you have a contract. The CURRENT system is REALLY easy to install. Just be weary that if you do not have high speed wireless internet , you may be left with some equipment parts or cameras for paperweight. SO ASK what internet speed you need. Lastly the customer service behind every phone is outstanding and the agents go through great lengths to make things happen for you. But you're going to have to take their word when they say, "there's nothing they can do". But overall I feel the service starts at the point of sale and make sure you get ALL the info regarding the system.

LifeShield is the worst security system my family has ever had! The system consistently went offline. The alarm was triggered numerous times without ANY contact from LifeShield's call center. We never missed a payment, EVER but when our alarm goes off while we are on vacation and no one is called and even with us going to our local police station and being told they were never dispatched to our address, which is what Life Shield told us, LifeShield won't acknowledge breach of contract on their part and release us from the 3 YEAR CONTRACT you have to agree to in order to have their service. My family ultimately had to pay for two security systems, LifeShield and one that ACTUALLY provided security, for the duration of the LifeShield contract. We went with LifeShield because of the discount we received from our DirectTV service but it definitely was not worth it.

Two alarm events, one for five(5) minutes and the other for approximately seen(7) minutes; I forgot to disarm system after returning home. However, in both events, no one from LifeShield monitoring didn't call to ascertain if I needed assistance nor did law enforcement show up. I don't think that LifeShield monitors its alarms systems. In my opinion, LifeShield is nothing but a scam.

When i decided to leave ADT in February 2015 due to pricing and come over to LifeShield i thought I was making a wise choice. The customer service entices you will great plans of service and equipment. The equipment arrived but YOU are the installer. That part they failed to disclose. I set up all the equipment and billing began. The issues followed beginning with the wireless keypad. You could not have batteries in it and use the ac plug. So we were told by customer service to take out the batteries and use the AC plug and that we would see low battery on the keypad daily but it would still work. I battled the keypad on several occasions trying to get a connection when you arm it to go to work. I was told i would need to unplug it for 30 seconds and replug it in order for the connection to work. That put me behind in my daily commute. Then came terrible breaks in service throughout the contract period. The reason folks sign up for service is to have peace of mind. To constantly receive emails stating sensor communication lost does not give you that peace while you are away. This has been occuring over the 2years and 11 months i have been in service with LifeShield. Two weeks ago the alarm triggered a call from customer service 10 minutes after i pulled off to work. i came back to find nothing wrong and cancelled the call for police assistance. I went about my day again and 4 minutes later the customer service called again to report an alarm. I had them send the police over who found nothing and said it was probably a faulty sensor. I finally had enough of the service and decided to go back to ADT. I contacted LifeShield to cancel and was told my contract was not over until February 2018 and if i canceled prior to that there would be an early termination fee of $349 assessed. So to summarize if i cancel service in month 35 of a 36 month contract I need to pay $359 instead of the monthly bill fee of $50. BUT BEWARE...if you do not call and cancel precisely on the date, they can and will re-sign you to another year contract and you will be on the hook for that early termination fee. IT IS A CRUDE business tactic. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE

Technician didn't install/attach equipment securely so it keeps falling send false messages that the window is open. Also can't bypass on the code panel to ignore so now I have to try to make it stick before I can turn the alarm on The touchpad nor code panel (box) stayed charged It was easier to just unplug everything. I will be cancelling as soon as my contract is over and going back to ADT.

Our home was robbed on 12/9/16 we never received even one communication from LifeShield! We called them to cancel our service, after we tested the system again and it still didn't work, fire or security. They still wanted a huge cancellation fee. They said try this, do this, attempting to service the unit ourselves, still would not send out a technician or simply cancel service without a huge fee. Now 11/15/17 called to cancel again, contract is complete, system has been replaced by another company, and LifeShield crap is in box in garage! Still they are giving us grief about canceling service! Don't do anything with this company! They have only installers no technicians! The products they install are complete junk as well! Waning! Warning! Warning! STAY AWAY!

I have had this service and although I call and complain every month about issues with billing, refund, how the customer services are rude, they auto renew my account and told me I had an early termination fee. I subscribed to LifeShield Alarm System on June 26, 2017. On 10/25/17 I received a text from the dispatcher stating there was a breach of the system. I did not receive a phone call. I called LifeSheild to inquire what the breach entailed. I was told they had called me and left a message. My phone did not show an incoming call from them on the call log. They suggested I call the dispatcher. The dispatcher insisted they had called me and the local police department. They continued to insist they had called me and the PD. I then called the local Police Dept. and asked if they had been notified of a breach. They said they had not received a call regarding my address. This company falsifed the information in this matter and I am cancelling my contract with them. They are rereliable and dishonest.

At the start of my contract, there were a number of months that, unknown to me, my security system was not being monitored nor program to contact the police as installed/and set up. (The main reason I secured Lifeshield was because I had a security concern with a dangerous ex.) I only discovered that that my system which I was paying for not being monitored when my alarm was activated by me and I was not able to turn it off (I did not remember the Code as I had been using a FOB that was not working) -- no one responded; no call was made. At the time of the discovery, they offered to extend my contract for the number of months that it was not being monitored. (Why would I want to do that?) Now at the end of my contract, I have moved and cannot take or use the system. While I misunderstood the contract end date was one year LONGER than I remembered, Lifeshield will not allow me to cancel the contract and insists that I make monthly payments (but I was given a $10 / month reduction). This was the contract, so I appreciate that I am stuck paying for it though I get no benefit it anyway. However, the customer service rep informed me that essentially I had to contact them 30-days prior to the end of the contract to stop the charges at the end of the contract as they will not take a note or order it now -- but she certainly made it clear that she was annotated it was my responsibility to call next July (10 months away) to stop their autopayments from hitting my credit card. Seems like in this day and age of technology and in the spirit of good Customer Care, they could stop autopayments at the end of the contract period IF THAT IS WHAT THE CUSTOMER REQUESTS. They won't even commit to generating an e-mail message that reminds the customer at the end of the contract to verify whether they wish to continue with the service, but they are designed to continue charging the customer the autopay past the end of the contract. (Certainly feels they are hoping customers forget so they can keep charging them--and based on another review, they plan to charge you for another year!) No telling whether the monitoring still continues if the customer passes the end date, but Lifeshield guarantees they will continue to charge you! (I WILL NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THE EVER AGAIN). Highly recommend if you want a customer-centric, reliable security company you look elsewhere.

Best Feature about them is remote access. Their devices are cheaply made, have had issues with them falling off shortly after install. should had paid the little extra and stuck with ADT. Their Customers services is Lacking to say the least. They auto billed and sent us emails saying we were past due, so we tried for months to contact them to update info. And we couldn't get a hold of them. Tried calling during their specific hours and they would state their hours which we were obviously calling during. When i finally got though to them they said they never received any of my emails and only received a couple of calls prior to our issues. Well duh, if i cant get though how are you going to log our calls? Anyways . after i spoke with Supervisor Jill, she was more pleasant than the customer service reps and took my cancellation payment down a little bit after i turned down her offer of trying to keep me. She honestly would had been only reason i stayed had i not already signed back up with ADT. only because of her am i giving them a 4. I was going to rate them 0-1

The system works well since 2014 install. Just sold the home, moved to lease. Told the property manager we were installing our own, non-invasive or damaging security before signing the lease. He was skeptical until I demonstrated via the system website and he was fine with the install knowing there were no drilling, wires, and other damaging aspects. Setup at the lease home took about 30 minutes, switched the address, all set. The base unit is triple connected, no issues with ensuring the system is operational. The smart app is great. Also, as a note we were once with Brinks that was bought by the other "guys". Complete switch from excellent to zero across the board, ended in a major battle to clear my credit from false reporting by the other "guys". LifeShield has better technologies, simplicity, and functionality that hands down beats the other "guys". Ordering additional equipment to enhance the protective system we already have in-place.

I am using Lifeshield from past 4 years and somehow didn't use the system much. Very highly complicated to install, parts and window sensor does work, they fall all the times, very bad security system. I requested them to cancel it from past few years and they said i have 63 months agreement and need to pay for next 5 years. Wow, they are crazy. You cannot remove your credit card from their profile. VERY BAD SERVICE, PLEASE DO NOT USE LIFESHIELD.

I had this system for many years however the product rarely worked correctly. I persisted as the customer service was seemingly a bit helpful. however I would under no means recommend this, not only because of the quality but also the worst is they charge a bomb and when you wish to cancel due to work overseas or move to another place they still hit you with a huge cancellation penalty in the hundreds of dollars...... very very disappointing, a great money making machine, but the rest is pretty dismal.
