Other companies that Tyco rely on to provide services and products on their behalf include: Bentel, DSC, Sur-Guard, Visonic, CEM Systems, Kantech, and Software House.
As it’s such a large company, Tyco Integrated Security can offer comprehensive security packages to businesses that have multiple outlets, even when they are nationwide. Tyco has a quick response time for those who need it and their sales team makes every effort to get to know exactly what the individual custom’s security needs are. Tyco’s contract is only 12 months long, which is only one-third the length of contract most security companies provide.
Tyco offers a plethora of impressive corporate security features, including fire monitoring, burglar alarms, mobile security management, video monitoring, and more. Notable among these features is Tyco’s asset tracking capabilities. Tyco provides its customers with GPS-enabled tracking devices to detect the location of lost or stolen corporate vehicles and other important equipment or company property. Unfortunately, Tyco Integrated Security is not BBB accredited, and has an F rating. The BBB website gives a list of reasons for this rating, which includes a poor response record to complaints and insufficient information on its size and background (though the latter two reasons may be a result of a recent rebranding in 2012, when the company changed its name from ADT Commercial). It can be difficult to get certain call out services on the weekend and when you do, it cost a lot more. As an alternative, a Tyco staff member can talk you through shutting down your security system over the phone until a regular call out is available, but this leaves you vulnerable and potentially uninsured.
Tyco rates poorly among customers for a number of reasons. According to user reviews, Tyco’s customer service is slow and unresponsive. Some customers have reported poor equipment quality and confusing or even deceptive contract terms.
