Best Home Security Companies in New Hampshire
New Hampshire is known for and tends to live by the libertarian philosophy of “Live Free or Die,” which seems to capture the state’s historic resistance to government regulation. Their state constitution is the only one in the union to acknowledge a right to revolt against the government, and is also the only one to not establish a public school system. There are no seatbelt or motorcycle helmet laws, drivers do not have to carry car insurance, and schools are not required to offer kindergarten. There is not a general sales tax, personal income tax, and the state has only one appellate court. However, NH does have the most House of Representative members of any state at one per 3,200 residents, which goes along with the emphasis on local control.
New Hampshire has a lower number of law enforcement employees per capita than the average state and has a much lower crime rate. According to USA.com, NH has a crime index ranking of three, meaning there are only two states in the nation with a lower crime rate. Their rates of violent, property, and auto crime are all much lower than average, however, their hate crime rates are higher than average with a majority of crimes being sexual orientation related.
