  • Security Cameras
  • More Features
  • Monitoring Center

Home Monitoring Plans

There are currently three different types of ADS Security system packages, each one suited to different security needs: Basic Home Security, Advanced Home Security, and Complete Home Security.

The Basic Home Security package delivers door sensors, a motion sensor, and a touch keypad.

The Advanced Home Security package features more home automation products including a smart thermostat and door lock.

The Complete Home Security includes everything previously mentioned, plus a remote video feature to provide a live security alert with video surveillance.

The ADS Security alarm system comes with professional installation, mobile app capabilities, and real-time text or email security alert features. From our standpoint, ADS Security offers at least the same quality of burglar alarm products as other home automation and security systems in the country.

Security Cameras

ADS provides superior security cameras to help you monitor your home while you're away.

Customers can view up to six video feeds at once and receive either text or email alerts in the event that the camera's motion sensor has been triggered.

Users can easily pan or tilt their cameras via ADS's smartphone mobile app, and because ADS's cameras are completely wireless, users can move them to where they're needed the most.

More Features

ADS offers a number of impressive alarm, security, and automation systems and features that protect both your home and your wallet.

For example, ADS's water automation feature allows customers to control all water fixtures (outdoor sprinklers, faucets, etc.) remotely to save money on water costs, and prevent costly water damage in the event of an emergency.

ADS also provides a number of home security features exclusively for pets, including pet cams, carbon monoxide detectors, rescue decals, and pet protection profiles.

Monitoring Center

All operators at ADS Security monitoring centers have also earned the highest training certificate in the industry, known as the Five Diamond Central Station.

Each person in the monitoring center is trained on professional installation to handle and monitor the equipment properly, ensuring your safety.

ADS does not have an automated phone system.

A live person will pick up the phone to provide optimal service and home security system solutions.

Cons

  • Limited Availability
  • Lack of Information

Limited Availability

The alarm company is only available to seven states in the Southeast region of the United States: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

Lack of Information

A lack of upfront information on the company's website could indicate a limited focus on customer service. There are many unknowns when it comes to ADS Security:

  • Contract Length
  • Cancellation Policy
  • Fees
  • Monthly Cost

Our Recommendation

ADS Security offers a lot in terms of unique security system and home automation features. ADS is one of the few home security companies in the industry that allows users to control pan/tilt cameras from its mobile app.

However, ADS is also one of the most expensive home security companies we've reviewed - not just in terms of monthly monitoring fees, but also in the high upfront costs and the lengthy contract for service. Higher fees paired with an apparent lack of focus on customer service make this company difficult to recommend.

Customers may have better luck with home security companies that feature more flexible contracts and more reasonable rates.
