One potential downside for all new customers is FE Moran's warranty policy on new home security systems. Their basic warranty for parts and labor is only 90 days. If a customer wants an extended warranty or insurance policy they are required to pay an extra $10/month. Most home security companies provide at least a 1-year parts and labor warranty, meaning that FE Moran is not keeping up with industry minimums when it comes to system warranties.

For the past year I have problems with notification crossing the geo fence. We've tried everything. Unfortunately my contract has over 6 months on my contract.. very disappointed in not finding a solution.

FE Moran purchased our alarm company a few years ago and have maintained the same level of customer service. We upgraded our system to add cameras and some additional options a week ago or so. Install went smoothly and John, the installer sent, was great. He thoroughly explained the system and how to customize the app to better fit our needs. We've been thrilled with the upgrades.

I've had FE Moran for 2 years and I love the service and the equipment. They installed the best top of the line equipment in my house that gives me full home automation of everything. My lights, locks, thermostat, garage door opener, and security. It's amazing what technology allows you to do these days!

F E Moran bought out small, local alarm companies, and screwed them up. I have had issues with supervisory alerts on individual contacts that are only 2-1/2 years old. The wireless system drops out about once a season and requires a reset- do it myself or pay an 80$ service call. Memorial day at 1:30 am I got a call about a bad contact and spent a half hour on the phone trying to get through- "press one if you are cancelling an alarm call." And ...... nothing. Comcast has some competition for worst customer service in America.

My Name is Mr. Oldham, I inquired about the security system and what, they as a company, had to offer. I agreed to use them for my homes security provider, so I signed up. After further conversation with my rep Megan, I realized that they could NOT accomodate my security needs. I then, during the same conversation, cancelled my contract. To my surprise, 3 or 4 days later I received the equipment in the mail anyway, I requested for them to send me the pre-paid shipping tag so i can return the equipment to them. Well the rep Megan denied that we ever spoke about my concern with them being my security provider and the fact that I cancelled. I was shocked, I then spoke with a host of people that claim to be supervisor's they all said that i didn't cancel. Each rep ignored my reason for calling and the complaint I had and tried to convince me to keep the services. I even found out that they ran a credit check on me without my consent nor did I give them my SS#. I don't think that these crooks are capable of securing anyone! My next step is to contact the BBB, and Fox2 News.

I was going to change to another provider (ADT) being pressured to get installation while still in a contract with FE Moran. Shame on ADT!!! FE Moran you did a fabulous job at meeting my needs with compassion and helpfulness to keep me as a valued customer.

We have had great service from F.E. Moran over the several years we have been with the company for our home security system- both on the phone and through service visits to our home. All the people involved with this company have been excellent. Our service tech, Brandon Shinabarger, has been to our house several times and helped us set up a connection with Alarm.com as well as changing batteries and making sure that all connections are set up and work properly. He has really taught us how to use the system via cell phone and computer as well as with the hand-help fobs. He is polite and very patient. He, as well as all of the company's phone reps, have done a great job. Before we signed with F.E. Moran, we were with two other home security companies (One was absorbed by F.E, Moran.) We feel that F.E. Moran is much better than what we had before.

I had my mother's home upgraded with the FE Moran company and had Installer Dakota do the entire update in her home. Dakota was neat, clean very professional excellent tone and willingness to answer and take all the time needed to show us how new system operated. He even stopped, out in the street, and came back in to verify that he had understood one of the questions that we had. He did an outstanding job.

I will be changing to ADT.... when I have mistakenly set off my alarm FE MORAN has not contacted me and has been unresponsive to my call resulting in police coming to my home....in addition they have for whatever reason been unable to keep emergency numbers separate from mine and have made calls to them instead of me...even after I attempted to correct this multiple times.

This company used to be Myers before it was purchased by FE Moran. It was an excellent company before the sale. The owner would actually personally call you back if there was a problem. It has completely gone south since then. If you call customer service, they suggest that you call them back if you haven't heard from them by the next day. I've called 3 times about closing service on a house I sold and haven't heard back over the course of three weeks. My app wasn't arming the house and no one could help -- and no one called back when I was told they would. When I sold the house I was told that I had a 5 year contract because of an "update" on equipment. The only update I had that I can recall was adding a couple of sensors for fire/water. So apparently I have 3 years worth of something they are billing me for - I can't find out the amount because no one will call me back. I want to add video surveillance on my current home but I've lost faith in FE Moran.

FE Moran bought our previous alarm company several years ago. Unfortunately this was the beginning of the end of responsive service. When our alarm is accidentally tripped, we don't receive the initial call for a good three minutes – at which time a burglar could have easily been in and out of our home. Furthermore, the system we had "upgraded" a few years ago apparently had a 2G cellular network that is no longer being supported by AT&T, thus it emits a random constant beeping until we disarm it. So, to fix the problem we will need to get a 4G system. That's fine and we will pay for the upgrade, but what I find absolutely amazing is that FE Moran told us they won't upgrade it without renewing our contract. Seriously? We have been with this company (that we didn't initially choose) for many years, always paying on time. They are basically holding our system hostage, thinking we don't have an alternate solution. Well that's the beauty of freedom – we do have a choice. My response to them is that we will be going with another alarm company. One that has a better response time.

FE Moran Security is terrible. They barely fulfill on their minimum requirements with our organization and as a result, they are hated by virtually every stakeholder in my organization that has to interact with them. They are constantly telling us our line integrity to their alarm panel is bad, but every time we check the line integrity, before and after the dmarc, then push back with FE Moran Security, they then send out a tech and go, "Oh, I guess there isn't a problem." Why is FE Moran Security wasting their business clients' money when their own techs failing to test the panel in the first place is the REAL ISSUE?

First off, their customer service is amazing... IF you have a representative that you can work with regularly. I always use the same rep BY NAME and have issues resolved immediately. As with any big company, as a customer, you need to establish a relationship with a single person in that company if you want personalized representation and not just become another number on a computer screen. I deal with them for my home as well as many corporate accounts for business that I build. Second, you do not have them listed as a DIY. you can use your own equipment with them. Third, the equipment rating... You get what you pay for. The equipment that I purchased and installed in my home is definitely a 10/10. I've looked at the equipment on the web sites of your top choices and what they offer is cheap poor quality material that is fine for an ignorant homeowner that doesn't know the difference between technical specs and "bells and whistles". I've installed equipment on a middle class budget that can rival that of multimillion dollar homes.

I has this company removed as the security system for a home I have become the administrator for..... I have just been awakened at 4:30 am by a call from dispatch that was telling me they haven't received a signal from a cancelled, removed, powered off system. Their customer service is non existent: they do not listen, they do not respond, they just don't care. I have given both written and verbally recorded cancellation of this service and they still don't listen. My new company is fantastic. LISTEN FE MORAN - LISTEN.

We signed up with Myers in 2009. Everything was great. Since FE Moran bought out Myers things were ok unless you needed to communicate with them. They have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. We were alerted by another company that the 2G communicator that may be in our system could stop working any time between now and the end of the year. Then it would for sure. When I contacted FE Moran, I was told that they would have gotten around to contacting us about the issue. Since then, trying to get a response from them about anything has been a chore. They do not return calls or emails. I have to keep calling and calling. I have sent in my cancellation document. Still no communication. We have now moved on to a new company. Still trying to get confirmation that they have settled our account. They were quick, however, to contact our homeowners insurance. I can't wait to have the chapter of FE Moran closed.

Started with Myers in 2008 and did not have issues. Myers was purchased or merged with FE Moran a few years ago and things still moved smoothly. Have recently had a couple false alarms and response time has been awful. Several minutes have gone by each time the alarm has been tripped. I have asked each time why the response time has been below expected and have been told they were really busy and calls are handled as they come in - there were several calls that needed to be handled before mine. While I understand this I expect the company to carry a staff that can handle the volume of alarms they receive. Giving them a four as we have not had issues with billing or customer service. Shopping other companies now.

At first, I loved this company. Great price, great product, great service. This was three years ago when they were Myers in Indianapolis. I signed a 3 year contract and paid on time every month for 3 years. I just recently moved and decided to go with another alarm company, because fe Moran has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Just calling is a pain, because you are routed through their monitoring department, and 9 times out of 10 they say someone in customer service isn't available and they will call back. I never receive a call back. I always ended up calling back a few days later. During the selection process of my new alarm system, it was like pulling teeth trying to get a fe Moran rep out here. That was very confusing after being a loyal customer for the last 3 years. I'm still trying to get my monitoring cancelled with them. I sent my cancellation letter in June and I'm still receiving monthly invoices. I've talked with several different people and get no where. Fe Moran really needs to take a hard look at their service model and realize a lot of new business for important products like a home alarm come from word of mouth marketing. I can promise you I won't be recommending Fe Moran to any of my family or friends.

This is the worst company. Do not sign up with them! They never handled our alarm well and we continued to have problems with a sticky door sensor that would set off the alarm. When we needed to cancel because we were moving they made us pay for the year upfront - because it was in the contract. Do not use this company. Horrible policies, horrible service.
