Frontpoint’s equipment and devices are easy-to-install. There are no installation fees, and Frontpoint understands the value of diligent customer service. Frontpoint’s Pricing

Frontpoint’s equipment and monitoring cost is competitive with other leading security companies. Frontpoint home security offers monitoring services in three packages from which customers may choose: protection monitoring, interactive monitoring, and ultimate monitoring. These Frontpoint systems have a monthly fee for professional monitoring, but that price is not disclosed on the website as prices may vary depending on each individual home.  We were, however able to get some numbers for standard costs of alarm monitoring.  The monthly price ranges from $34.99-49.99. Frontpoint security systems are all 100% cellular monitoring services, with the higher priced option offering additional add-ons like home automation for smart home devices and video surveillance monitoring. The mobile app is included in the Interactive and Ultimate plan only and you need a smartphone mobile device to have access.

Contracts are available for 12 and 36 months. However, there is a $99 minimum equipment purchase. Pre-made, comprehensive security packages range from $199.95 – $349.95. Customers own all the Frontpoint equipment they’ve purchased and have a  30-day, risk-free trial. If you are unhappy with your alarm systems you may get your money back.

Frontpoint uses a simpler approach to monitoring options by offering a 100% cellular connection. Unlike other security companies, their wireless home security system is not dependent on a phone line, internet connection, or any other system within a home. Their system won’t go down if the landline or internet fails and all communication is built into the system itself.

An excellent offer that comes with this program is the light control feature. You can customize an on/off schedule or set lights to trigger automatically in reaction to a sensor alarm. There is also environmental protection to protect you against Carbon Monoxide (CO), extreme temperatures, or flooding. With the Interactive plan, you additionally get sensors and thermostats to guard against these calamities.

This Frontpoint package includes a 30-day money-back guarantee trial period, free text and email notifications, and the option to do self-installation.

However, Frontpoint does not sell the door locks,  or a thermostat, etc. The reason for this is that the Frontpoint home automation system is a self-setup, so it can be difficult for someone to install their own locks and thermostats so they operate correctly.

Another potential issue for many is that Frontpoint’s automation system is a self-setup system. While the system is generally simple to set up, there are some who may struggle with connecting it to their smart home devices.

Upfront Costs

While equipment fees start at $99, they may reach as high as $449 if you chose to upgrade packages. For example, a base package includes 3 door and window sensors.  If you were to customize their base package to include 10 extra door and window sensors, you would pay close to $248.90 out of pocket.

FrontPoint only offers a 3-year warranty on their equipment.  Many other competitors offer lifetime equipment warranties.

    I think they could be a little bit cheaper but I am willing to pay the price for the customer service and the equipment. They are always there if you have problems and will troubleshoot it. It seems to work, when you open the door the alarm goes off. I haven’t had one issue yet.

    Customer service’s technical skills are good, they know what I am talking about and resolve the issues but one concern is I was trying to call and it went to an auto thing that said it would call back the next day but it didn’t. The equipment is easy to use but I am not able to connect it to my home WIFI.

    They seem pretty happy to help and they will do pretty much anything to make sure you have a good experience. We’ve had to send back multiple sensors because the completely fail to be seen by the security hub and we still have issues with sensors ten percent of the time. It is convenient to able to look at my phone to know certain events or to check on my dog.

    I feel more secure. I wish they would make their app available at a reasonable price, it seem like it charges ten dollars a month to use the app. Everything has been great except some of the stuff doesn’t take well. Ninety percent of the time when I call, I can get through pretty quickly and they resolve whatever issue I have.

    Before I chose them, I spoke with several companies on the phone and I liked what Frontpoint offered best. Most of it works really good, though there was one on my garage that fell off and it didn’t work quite well but overall it works.

    Frontpoint is an enjoyable company because it is not in your face and is there when you need it but disappears when you don’t. I had no idea what I was doing when I was installing the system and the young man on the phone was the sweetest thing and walked me through it for almost forty five minutes to an hour. They have the nicest people working at their company. The equipment works, I feel secure.

    I have had my home security system for 4 years now. Ever since we got robbed, I feel so much safer. And if I was to get broken into, I like the fact that this system is a crash and smash system. So if the intruders destroy in hopes of shutting up the alarm, it’s still going off in the main office and police will be notified. Very good system so far for me and my family.

    Frontpoint is excellent. Love the the door lock, the skybell, and the integrated lights. Customer service is excellent, you can call one person with multiple issues and be taken care of instead of being bounced around from person to person. The only thing I would say is to offer more z wave compatible devices. I know they aren’t offering wireable devices so the homeowner wont have to call an Electrician but I am one so I would like to see more.
