Frontpoint’s Pricing

Frontpoint’s equipment and monitoring cost are competitive with other leading security companies. Frontpoint home security offers monitoring services in three packages from which customers may choose: protection monitoring, interactive monitoring, and ultimate monitoring. Frontpoint’s monthly cost ranges from $34.99-49.99. Frontpoint security systems are all 100% cellular monitoring services, with the higher-priced option offering additional add-ons like home automation for smart home devices and video surveillance monitoring. The mobile app is included in the Interactive and Ultimate plan only and you need a smartphone mobile device to have access.

Contracts are available for 36 months. There is a 30-day, risk-free trial. If you are unhappy with your alarm systems you may get your money back.

Mobile App and Upgraded Technology

Frontpoint also makes a diligent effort to constantly improve their technology. The Frontpoint app gives you remote access and lets you control your system from anywhere using your mobile phone or tablet. In addition to the mobile app, technology advances extend to Frontpoint’s control panels. Current customers have the opportunity to upgrade their existing Simon XT control panel to the Qolsys’ IQ Touch-Screen Control Panel. New customers now also have the option to purchase the Touch-Screen control panel as a way to upgrade and receive the latest home security technology. This control panel creates an interface that makes full-system functionality easier to navigate than ever. This control panel is compatible with all existing Frontpoint sensors and is designed to support the newest technological advancements made in sensors and monitoring. Home Automation Options

Frontpoint has a multitude of home automation options in its “Professional Package”. For $49.99/month customers receive the Frontpoint home automation and video monitoring on top of the basic security package. With this plan, you’ll be notified immediately of any alarm activity within the home—whether it’s a matter of security or an environmental threat.  You’ll also be reminded if you leave without arming your system, using the Frontpoint location-based Geo-Services.

An excellent offer that comes with this program is the light control feature. You can customize an on/off schedule or set lights to trigger automatically in reaction to a sensor alarm. There is also environmental protection to protect you against Carbon Monoxide (CO), extreme temperatures, or flooding. With the Interactive plan, you additionally get sensors and thermostats to guard against these calamities.

This Frontpoint package includes a 30-day money-back guarantee trial period, free text and email notifications, and the option to do self-installation.

However, Frontpoint does not sell the door locks,  or a thermostat, etc. The reason for this is that the Frontpoint home automation system is a self-setup, so it can be difficult for someone to install their own locks and thermostats so they operate correctly.

Another potential issue for many is that Frontpoint’s automation system is a self-setup system. While the system is generally simple to set up, there are some who may struggle with connecting it to their smart home devices.

    Worst home security company ever! My front door alarm never works properly. They have sent me 3 different sensors and none of them work properly on my front door. For the past 2 weeks my alarm goes off every day when I leave for work because it doesn’t work properly. They call and ask if everything is alright and all I can say is,”It is the crappy Frontpoint Security sensors that don’t work again.” I am so sick and tired of this company and their worthless equipment. I’ve paid so much money for a security system that is worthless.

    About a year ago, I went overseas and the glass break alarm went off. The cops were never called, but I received an email stating that the alarm had gone off. I had to call my friend who lived 20 minutes away to go check if my house had been broken into or not.

    The sensors malfunction all the time. DO NOT go with FrontPoint Security. It is the worst. Half the time, the sensors don’t even work. They also charge me $43 a month for their useless monitoring.

    I’ve had FrontPoint Security for nearly two years and have been very pleased. They are certainly willing to work with you on selecting equipment and providing discounts to be competitive with other companies. System setup is easy and only takes minutes. I have had some minor issues with individual pieces of equipment, which FrontPoint promptly rectified by sending me new units at no charge with express shipping. The most valuable resource from FrontPoint, in my opinion, is their customer service – it is hands-down top-notch. The representatives are by far the politest, most knowledgeable, most helpful, and most professional of any company I’ve dealt with.

    I highly recommend to everyone to use FrontPoint Security.

    We have had front point for many years now. When we first started with their company for our security needs the response time was awesome, 24/7. Now….you have to contact the answering service after hours & wait for a call back even if your system won’t arm or disarm…very troubling! Thankfully, once you are called back by a support person they seem knowledgable enough to help you, though I’m often told that our occurrence is rare & shouldn’t happen again….like the cell tower denying our key pad to the monitoring station isn’t receiving signals, like alarm signals, from our control panel. The support person couldn’t tell why a cell tower was denying our access….just told me he had never had a tower deny access.

From the initial call to price a security system to my everyday experiences, FrontPoint has been great to deal with.     When we decided to get a security system, I did the usual research on companies and reviews. While there are definitely cheaper systems out there, a lot of the reviews were not very positive. I liked what I read about FrontPoint, and the customer service just blew me away. We’ve had our system since May 2013. Initial installation was a breeze for this ‘old guy’, and there has been no problems whatsoever. So far, so good.

    Their customer service is top notch. The representatives are ready to assist with any issue and are polite. The few times I’ve had questions or issues, they took care of them right away. My yard sign blew away last week due to high winds. I sent them a request through their website and a few days later, a new sign arrived at my door. As others have pointed out, they aren’t the cheapest, but their prices are close to competitor prices and an alarm system is an item I want quality and customer service rather than the cheapest.

    I started with FrontPoint over two years ago after researching numerous home security companies. After a lot of thought and reading lots of great reviews, I decided on this company because of the reputation they’ve established. I’ve stayed with them because the one time I did have an issue, law enforcement was notified immediately and the response from the company was great. They are very easy to set up and use! Every time I call, I have a great experience. I recommend them to anyone that is looking for a home security system. I agree the up front costs were a bit more than I hoped but honestly, I’m ok with that for the peace of mind I get with them. Highly recommended!!

    After 18 months of total satisfaction with no false alarms and no problems I have now had several months of problems that do not get resolved. You have now replaced my touch panel, main panel battery, main panel, sent new adhesive, new thicker adhesive, and now a new window sensor. All of this to stop my remote panel from beeping. I was told the remote was bad, the main battery was bad, the panel was bad, the programing was bad, and now a bad sensor. That has not arrived as yet so I do not know if that will solve the problem. The people on the line are very helpful but apparently they have on limited knowledge. A problem like mine should been escalated and a proactive approach on your end should have been taken. At this point I am an unhappy customer. Given the hours I have now assisted in your repair and diagnostic efforts I would have been better off with a more traditional system. I would be more accepting of your business model if your pricing were significantly lower that your competitors. I spent my entire career in the Tech industry so I would not be considered a typical customer. I would refer to myself as Tech Savvy.

    The FrontPoint security system is really nice and user friendly. We really like the added bonus of text alerts when our power goes out and when it comes back on. Having the mobile application also helps to arm/disarm the system on the go. It is also nice to have an events log. We are excited about the system and being able to take it with us if/when we move.

    Very reliable and not a scam by any stretch. This system will give you the convenience and sense of security you are looking for and, it is reliable. Don’t believe the $19.88 scams from other wireless providers – that’s for 3 (three) window/door sensors and a motion detector. When you are sure you are looking at apples vs apples for the number of doors, windows, garages, fire alarms, window breakage etc sensors and monitoring you want, you will find as we did that FrontPoint is your best contract option out there.
