I went with them since I had been looking to put cameras in my home and they had that. They've made sure that everything was completed and that I had the WiFi and Internet connected correctly and everything. Everything is good and works well, plus the people have been very friendly and have the right personality.

The salesperson talked me into it. It has been alright, though they had to come back out to redo something. They also had to come a couple of times to fix some troubles I had with the door. It wasn't really a bad problem. The service is a lot more expensive than what I used to have, so I don't like that.

This company is a joke for service. When I had the system installed AMP security took calls for the first year then it went to Guardian. Guardian does not have service people in my area they subcontract out. They never seem to know their schedules. I had a camera go bad and signed an agreement to have camera replaced on 10-10-17 for work to be completed by 10-24-17. This is for a Honeywell camera available easily. They didn't bother to order until 10-18-17 so it didn't come in. A supervisor said she was going to have one sent to my house for a 10-28-17 repair and that didn't happen she said it would be in the warehouse for the tech that day. I called today to reconfirm 5-7pm appointment now they say the tech can't get parts out of warehouse on a Saturday. Why no one knew this on Friday is amazing. So now my wife and I have rearranged our schedules twice and no show. They couldn't tell me when they will be out. I had a door switch go bad they were supposed to order earlier this year and after no work for about 10 days I ordered and replaced the switch myself. This is definitely not the company I thought I was getting alarm service from and I'm very sorry I did. When you call every one is sorry for holdups but nothing gets done. Service is in no way what was promised when we bought the system

Heartless company; I asked to have service cancelled since where we are moving, there is no need for home security. Told me I would still be responsible for payments for 46 months. What? Would I still be responsible if I had to go to a nursing home? Yes! How about if I die? Yes! Really! I will continually tell people NEVER GET INVOLVED WITH GUARDIAN!

Things to check: - date on contract: if your house is being built (or you haven't moved in) make sure that the date on the contract matches the date that the equipment will be installed. my cancellation policy had expired long before my house even existed, and they don't care. - cancellation policy: even though it's not written anywhere, the phone reps will quote you a cancellation policy that says you owe the full deferred amount for the equipment, plus remaining monthly service charges. However, they will not provide it in writing. - service is not worth the money. they do very little in the way of incentives or customer service. you don't hear from them until you owe money. they also offer less than other companies for the same amount of money. My opinion: any company that has a shady cancellation policy should be avoided.

Because I want to use my bank to electronically pay the monthly fee I have to have paper billing and pay a $2.00 fee. I requested email billing but was told that was not possible and to just tear up the paper bill when it arrived. This seems like a dumb way to run a business. Why not just say OK we will send email notification but will still have to charge you a $2.00 fee since we don't trust you to pay your bill. The salesperson assured me it was no problem to pay the bills electronically but never mentioned paper billing and the $2.00 charge. Unfortunately I signed the contract so will be paying $49.77 for the basic package for the next 3 years. The techs who converted the system were great but their billing procedures not so much.

We have had continual issues with the therostat. Keep replacing the batteries every week and the A.C. cuts out because the stupid thermostat doesn't work correctly. We love in AZ so air conditioning is a necessity. I called to have it services and Guardian wanted to charge me to look at their thermostat they put in. I told them Im cancelling and they charge $1250 to cancel and we have 4.5 years left on the contract. They won't suspend the contract either of you need to. We plan to stay at a rental temporarily until we buy another home and we still have to play even if the system isn't operational for a few months. They did end up sending a repair man last week to fix the thermostat but it cut out again today and I came home to a very hot house. My kids and my dog were suffering. I'm completely fed up with this company. They don't keep anything secure. I got a message the back door was tampered with twice and it's not like they call. I happened to look at the tablet screen and it had happened days ago. Waste of money. You'd be better off buying a dog.

Guardian Protection Services is not a good choice for home security. For anyone thinking about getting it. Their sales reps make false statements. And after explaining this to their Customer Care department, they insulted me. This is not how you run a business. Customer service is one of the biggest parts of running a good business. And therefore I will not recommend Guardian to anyone.

We were having an issue with our alarm interface plate in our residence displaying some kind of warning light. We tried contacting customer support several times about this issue and coud never get an answer as to what the warning light was actually indicating let alone get someone to tell us how to fix it. When we finally cancelled service, they charged us for the following month since they seem to need 30 days to cancel service. I guess they must need the full 30 days so they can factor how they will cover the $43 they will be missing from their budget. I honestly hope they didn't have to fire anyone because we cancelled. Terrible company with terrible customer service and practices. Go with someone else for your home security needs.

Guardian protective services does not provide reliable support. We requested a service call for their systems failure to connect with their monitoring system twice and both times the repair agent never showed up despite calling and confirming the appointment. When we tried to cancel the service due to lack of professionalism and functioning system, they informed us that we would have to pay $1250.00 cancellation fee even though there was only 10 months left on the contract. Stay away from these shysters! They are the poster children of what is wrong with the corporate mentality in the USA Today. Traaaaash!! They showed up at my house construction offering their services aaying they would be available to activate the service as soon as I have my internet up...So when I moved, they wanted me to wait a month and half before they were available. Naturally I went with another company because that is absurd considering I travel for work. So I called to cancel and was perfectly okay with paying for the equipment since it was installed but 750.00 fee for a service that was never activated?? I haven’t even been in the house for 30 days. So RUN if they try to offer their services Smh and that my friends is how they make their money. So glad I’m out. 750.00 was worth leaving this nonsense out of date service.

Do not invest in this company. So many negatives. Including morally and ethically wrong. My house when i purchased already had an alarm.and was wired as such It was ranger..i called the number and guardian i guess bought them out. My contract ends in may 2017..after 5 years. In my 5 years..crap. i got charged for install when in fact the only thing that was added was a box in the hall upstairs to be able to communicate. And it never did properly for over 2 years. Yes i had problems and could not communicate effectively. Ive been charged service fees for magnets that fall off. (Just one time for that experience) Everytime ive called to discuss camera's and what it is that i want..ineffective or cost was rediculous. I didnt know as well for 5 years..until last year 2016 i asked them to send me a copy of what was signed on a tablet! No copies no nothing. Just a rush to get you to sign. Currently in my neighborhood alot of break ins. I saw somebody from a different alarm i inquired and want different. I have no up to date nothing all old and nothing smart and pay $55,15 a month. Not happy. I called today to find out how muchbit would be to break it and transfer. The loyalty department quoted me over $800. This is Sept. From sept to then end on my contract in may 2017 should be $440. Are you serious! Ethically wrong! Rip off big time. Its some seroous mess. Do Not Go with Guardian.

Seriously, do not sign up with this company. They are dishonest and value a few bucks more than customer good will. I signed a 3 year contract with them at my old house. We unexpectedly had to move 1 year in and asked if we could cancel. They said no because we still had 2 years on the contract. We agreed since we signed the contract. But we told them we would not renew after the contract was up since we no longer lived at that address. So fast forward 2 years. They renewed the contract without telling us. They've overcharged us 2 months so far. I just caught the charges and called them to cancel and to get a refund. They refused to give a refund because they claim that they tried to contact us to see if we wanted to renew or not but never got a hold of us. 1) We never received any calls from them. 2) Despite the fact we told them NOT to renew the contract, they still renewed. We don't even live there anymore. 3) An honest company that actually values customer good will would have an early termination program in place. Maybe with a termination fee. Not these guys. Please look elsewhere for your home alarm system needs.

So, we fell for some door to door salesman a little over a year ago who convinced us to switch to Guardian from ADT (who we were happy with). He was NOT wearing a Guardian shirt, and did not introduce himself as a Guardian employee. He led with the promise of upgrading our monitoring equipment for free, and didn't make it clear we were switching to Guardian until we were signing papers. He did not explain the term length of the contract, or the cancellation policy. We move frequently, and typically never sign more than a 2 year contract for anything. I admit, it is our fault that we trusted this guy and didn't read the contract, but does anyone read all of the fine print? Lesson learned here today when we tried to cancel after we sold the house. They informed us that we are locked into their $60/month service for another 46 months!! Our only out is to pay the $1250 cancellation fee or get some other sucker to transfer our service to. Avoid this company like the plague.

The sales and install people are very knowledgeable and very helpful, however, they do not tell you the truth regarding cancellation of the online contract that they scroll very rapIdly through. We tried unsuccessfully for weeks to cancel the contract on our home which had been sold. The new owners signed up for the service and we were also double billed for the month of September. They came to my front door a couple days after I moved in, we were still unpacking and it all sounded great, they came out to install where they had me sign a two year contract. Which we did. The installer was here till 9pm and still couldn't get it right, sounding alarms for hours and hours... we already had an alarm system, all they had to do was connect to their key pad. Said he would be back to finish... never did. The system would go off randomly for no reason, and called the fire department who responded twice. When we called customer service... with the alarm sounding, they said the alarm was not going off. I asked her if she could hear it, she said it wasn't on their system! We asked for a tech to come out and fix it, they wanted to charge us! They promised us two key pads, never came back to install the second one and when we called on that, they said there was no notes and they were going to charge us for it. Finally, in order to use the system we scheduled the guy to come out, saying we would pay, I took the day off work, he never showed and they still tried to charge me. So we decided to cancel. They said the cancellation fee was equal to the monthly fee for the remainder of the two year contract (we were only three months in!), which was over a year and a half left. So we had them turn the system off and continued paying for the two years, called to cancel on the two year anniversary and now they say it was a three year contract! These people are liars and thieves. Do not do business with them.

I would gladly take them to court but I can't afford the $60 a month for the alarm anymore so I definitely can't afford that. Plus it's not worth the price for only a sensor on front and back door.

This is a crap company. They get authorized dealers to do their dirty work. They seem to target older people and pressure them into signing a 5 year contract while telling them they can cancel at any time. They suckered my mom into getting one of their alarm systems. I checked into them after I found out she got one. Found all the bad reviews and told my mom to cancel it right away. It was about 2 weeks after they installed the system that we tried to cancel it. The dealer wouldn't answer the phone. Called 2 or 3 times a week for 3 weeks and they still wouldn't answer the phone. We left many messages saying that we wanted to cancel with no reply. I strongly recommend not buying anything from this company. Looking for a good security system, I would go with SimpliSafe. BBB approved and you install it yourself and it's only $14.99 a month for monitoring.

Do not buy security monitoring from this company without checking first with how long it takes your city police department to issue your permits for your alarm company. Arlington, TX police department told me tonight it takes up to 90 to 120 days to issue the permit on average when dropped off at the police department yourself. Our house was broke into tonight 7/24/2017 while we were in Phoenix, AZ for my father in laws funeral. We got an alert that the glass had been broke, when we called into Guardian we were informed by the customer service that they could not call the police department out to our house because a permit had not been issued. I have been with the company for only 2 1/2 months. In those few months we have had camera failures, garage monitoring failures, window sensor failures, etc. When we call into them they blame it on AMP who sales the equipment, they just do the monitoring but they do not. When you call AMP out to check the equipment they say its an internet uploading issue. We had Vivant before them. we switched to try to save money. Huge mistake! While with Vivant we had same internet service and 3 more camera's than we do now and all the sensors on the windows we do now and NEVER had this problem. In fact we went through the same issue with permit with them and we never got the excuse or sorry if your house is getting broke into, but we cannot call the police. As soon as I get home, I will be calling to find out how to pay out to get out of this contract and go back to Vivant! While I really enjoyed the gentleman who I stalled our service, our interaction with the technicians when our rear camera stop working 9 days after being installed was not what I expected. I initially called and reported the issue however the technicians were not in. I was told they would call me once they got in. I specifically asked if I needed to be home for them to troubleshoot the device since I knew u had to work and was told they could troubleshoot it from their end without my husband or I being present. When the technician called back, later that morning, I was told the opposite, that I did need to be home. While this was disappointing, there was nothing my husband and I could do since we both had to work. I called guardian when I got home and was connected with another technician. I told the technician how my husband followed all the troubleshooting tips on the app such as unplug and replug the camera back in,etc...i assumed they had some other tops or could remotely do some some diagnostic test from their end but that wasn't the case. The technician apparently wasn't listening and instead asked a few si.ple questions 1) what light is one, to which I replied none. 2) what light is usually one, to which I replied I had no clue since I didn't install it (I felt like he should know what light should and should not be on when the camera is working properly). And lastly, he asked me if the camera was plugged in. While I am aware that people probably call complaining of nonfunctioning stuff only to realize it wasn't plugged in, previously in our conversation i specifically told him we unplugged and plugged it back in as one of the troubleshooting options. And to top it off, he then asked what we did yo the camera. After all of this piss poor customer service and useless tips, he then told m us that he could have a technician come out but the earliest appointment is a week away so we are paying for something we can't use.

Then the sales pitch for the system was presented. We were told we'd receive $1500 - $2000 in "free" security equipment plus free installation if we contracted for monthly monitoring. Looking online I see that all equipment is provided at no cost. We did save the $99 installation fee plus received $100 cash. AMP+ Guardian I would NEVER recommend this company!!! (or team up) For 1 thing they have somehow forged a BBB site on their representatives devices that says they have an A rating, that they showed me, looks COMPLETELY legit, being pulled up online, not being stored on their device. In 20 days since getting the service we have not even for a single day had a properly working outdoor camera! Not 1!! They have come out multiple times to service &/or replace it, no improvement & replacements worse then the original, No exaggeration!!! Every time I make a compliant it's doing this or not doing that, they have said & I quote "that's normal". I'm sorry but an outdoor camera that it's whole purpose is to video-record & monitor, that is NOT doing it's intended purpose is NOT normal. Oh! & their cancellation policy? is in 2 parts! Very tricky, they know people only will read (if at all) some of the contract-so they have a cancellation part that says you have to pay for the equipment (which makes sense, so no problem), the part that's buried is that it costs $1,850.00 regardless of WHEN you choose to cancel (after 3rd day-you call on the 4th BAM $1,850!).

Cannot cancel my contract which was never explained to me. These salespeople travel all over the country. Rushed to install my system and got out of town. I would give anything to be done with this contract I knew nothing about. 5 years!!

I ordered a camera system from Guardian after having their alarm system for 12 years. The camera system has been nothing but trouble. It has never worked the way they said it would from day one. They have tried everything to fix it but still same problem: I can't ever review anything that happened past two weeks and I was told I would have 30 days worth of viewing. Also, when I am able to review something from two weeks prior if I even rewind or fast forward it the system jams up and I get an error message that sometimes lasts days. I called today to ask for my contract to see about getting out of this bad situation and instead of sending me the contract for the camera from a few months ago, they send me the contract from the alarm I got 12 years ago! I am completely frustrated and have been given so many reasons as to why I can't view things it's ridiculous. I got these because I have a stalker and so far I've missed everything the person has done because the cameras didn't replay! I"m so sorry I signed up for this. I loved my alarm system and never had any problems with it at all. Their camera system stinks. Don't waste your time! If I cancel their camera service, I'm stuck with cameras that won't work. I'd have done better getting cameras from Home Depot! What a waste of money. I'm not paying for something that doesn't work as I was told by their sales rep and tech...guess I'll have bad credit now and will have to get a new alarm system from someone else. Not to mention having cameras hanging off of my house that won't work.

I was not home when my husband signed contract, I do not want this system. When wanting to cancel..can not, must Buy it out right, which is expensive. Also, we were having new windows put in when system was installed, salesman said they would come back to do windows...only to find out it will cost even More money for that which he had understood was part of original contract...Not! I am upset that as co owner of our home I have no say, even though my name is not on contract?! I feel the salesman was misleading and customer service is crap!
