My mother is elderly and handicapped and was taken advantage of by Guardian Security company. They locked her into a FIVE year contract which was never explained to her. No emergency contact was placed in the contract. My mom tried canceling the contract 3 years later and was told the penalty fees would be very high. She did not pay the bill while disputing this and they manipulated the keypad so her code would not deactivate the alarm. They are only open from 9-5 and no one could turn the alarm off. She is out of town and had she had this issue she could have had health issues as a result of this incident. Customer service is awful. Do yourself a favor and get ADT.

over several years, we have stayed with Guardian. Some of the call center people are more helpful than others. I recently had a young woman who gave wrong info and was short, but the next evening, the man who answered was very helpful and kind.We have had a renovation and need to have our system tweaked.Also, we have recommended and you have another customer as result.

Guardian Protection is not a customer friendly company! I called them to cancel the service because we moved and we didn't want the service at the new residence and I was told that the contract was not due to expire for a few months. I was also told that the last month of the contract, the bill would be prorated and it would not be a full payment. I checked my bank statement and even though the contract was supposed to be canceled about three weeks ago, a full payment was deducted. I just called and was told that the notes in my account did not say to cancel the contract once the expiration date came, which means the payment taken cannot be reversed and as of today the the service is canceled. It's terrible that regular customers are taken advantage of. Please do not use this company!!

Keep up the good work. The care has been excellent, any issues have been taken care of right away and they have even gone beyond. Other security code companies have many failures and problems and I have felt uncomfortable with them, but I have never felt that way with Guardian. I feel safe and secure.

DO NOT USE GUARDIAN! This is a terrible company. I still don't understand how I manage to sign a five year contract without my knowledge., FIVE YEARS! I tried to cancel after the first month but of course I couldn't.. I am going to take a hit on my credit because I must get away from Guardian. By the way, don't believe that 34 99 per month junk. They stick you with all kind of fees and please, don't ever have a problem with the equipment. They charge you to come out and fix their stuff even if it's not your fault. Stay away from Guardian.

Extremely disappointed. Costumer service is eager to sell BUT don't show the slightest desire to solve your issues unless you agree to the $180.00 service charge. They practically tell you we are fools to even ask for the techs to come and fix any issues. I cancel their service 3 times before they actually cancel my service even after 5 month of our contract expiration. they manage to get 4 additional months of charges with the excuses that I needed to send a written termination notice. and I just received another bill for $5.78 because of 3 additional days of monitoring since my last call to cancel. ( Never needed any written notice ) WOW!!!!!! they are masters of milking costumers so they can survive.

Huge warning with this company do not use it. They have terrible customer service I’m moving from my house into a place for a short time that does not allow me to use a security system because it is a rental. They will not freeze my account even for six months however if I was moving into let’s say another house where I could have it then they would freeze it for six months how does that make any sense? They will not work with you at all I am a realtor and I will never recommend this company again

I will not recommend Guardian Security to anyone that used a security system before. Their Technician have limited knowledge, it takes 4 weeks to get my cameras running and you have 1000 clips of video a month. Your system stops recording when the limit is reached, you cannot delete to create space. When you call customer service they’ll promise to call you back; I have been calling and waiting for over 3 days now. I use to have Alarm Relay they were so good, they will call whenever your system alarm. We have triggered our system several times as a trial but didn’t get any call from Guardian. I am writing from my experience but if you want to learn from your own experience go ahead and good luck. The sales guy is no longer returning my text. He did everything to get the contract- be very skeptical when they start telling you they have 15-25 years with the company. It doesn’t translate to anything

I retired my old home security system because Guardian Protection had a more affordable price. The alarm itself is awesome, but all the extras - thermostats and doorbell - I keep having issues with. When I call them, they come right out and fix any problems.

Keypad and sensors are very use friendly and my family loves it. I'm a tech geek, so I think the access through your phone, key fob, or panel is great. As homes go more electronic, I hope they keep with with the trends as they've done in the past. With Guardian, there is always someone to talk to and that understands. When there is an alarm system, the last thing you want is a language barrier for a rapid response.

"No problems. I can be miles away from my home and and still arm it if I can artm it. My wife and I travel a lot - it's extra safe knowing that if a door opens, it will alert us. Some feedback for the company is that when they send technicians out, they should be better at their presentation and giving more details. The guy that came to install ours left out a lot of details. Had he been more thorough, we would have added more features."

Deceptive Salepersons WILL get you to sign a 5 year contract, without you KNOWING. We were never made aware that the contract would not be able to cancel for FIVE, yes I said FIVE years. We have never stayed in one home for 5 years, so for us to be liable for 5 full years of payments is ridiculous. In addition, they continue to try and raise prices. We have been unsuccessful in Guardian allowing us to cancel after 30 months of payments. DO NOT sign up for any service that forces a 5 year guarantee. They did not install a new system for us, therefore, the investment for them was negligible, and now we are responsible for another 30 months, even though we would like to be done. The actual service itself is fine.

This is the worst company ever. They lie, cheat and steal from their customers. We built a home this past year and Guardian had a deal with our Builders that they were to install their product as part of the purchase of the new build. We were told NO CHARGE to us because of their contract with each other and any extra's would be our out of pocket expense. We did choose to add some wiring during the build and paid for that at the time of completion. When we sat down with the REP from this deplorable company we were told that we could try out the services at a monthly cost of $60.00. We stated that we would try it for about 6 months and would cancel if we found we did not utilize the services set up in the home. The representative stated that was okay, NOT ONE WORD about being locked into a 5 year contract. When we called to cancel the service they said we could not or that we would have to pay $750.00+ to get out of the contract. This company should be shut down. For everyone in this situation, file a complaint with your State Attorney Generals Office and contact your local media outlets.

In Feb 2019 our auto pay for our Guardian was sent to Brinks Home Security. We never received a notice from either companies that our contract had been sold to Brinks. Both company's are sketchy and am very disappointed.
