Pros

No Early Termination Fees

LiveWatch customers are free to cancel their service at any time with no early termination fees, although you may have to pay for your equipment. Many home security companies require their customers to pay the remaining balance of their contract, which sometimes adds up to hundreds of dollars.

Rate-Lock

Customers don’t have to worry about their monitoring costs rising since their rate-lock guarantee ensures monthly rates will not increase.

Trial Period

Potential customers can try the Brinks Home Security plan/equipment for 30 days. If unsatisfied, it can be returned for a full refund.

Cons

Minimum Home Automation Equipment

Link Interactive, now part of Brinks Home Security, does not sell home automation equipment. Those interested in home automation will have to purchase equipment separately from another company. The company sells very limited equipment: motion sensors, door sensors, fire monitoring, indoor cameras, and doorbell cameras.

Expensive Monthly Fees

Those who choose to roll the cost of their equipment into their monthly monitoring costs will end up paying or $40.08 for Nest Secure $42.86 for Home Complete, $55.64/month for Home Complete + Video. This is without any additional sensors.

LiveWatch Security (Brinks) has positive home security reviews and uses excellent equipment for home security. For those who are interested solely in home security and want to purchase their equipment upfront, this company is a good choice.     I called with an issue concerning remote monitoring APP. The customer rep / tech was very knowledgeable in discerning the problem with the APP vs. the Livewatch system. In addition her understand of my concern of being way from an inoperable base terminal was well understood. The issues was with the APP not the Livewatch system.

    I highly recommend LiveWatch. Steffan R. was a great person to work with on the phone. He was very patient and answered every question I had about the burglar alarm installation. My initial installation was faulty but we corrected that error and then he took me through the system. Steffan is a very patient and encouraging tech.

    I am retired computer programmer with a vacation house in rural Massachusetts. We previously had a hard wired system in the house that constantly called us about breakins. Those “breakins” were mice. I tried to re-instate a hardwired system, but the company was not too responsive. i searched for alternatives, tried to go with a lower cost system but found it not very responsive. Emails were responded to about four days later; links to “talk with a representative” went unanswered in ten minutes. LiveWatch has excellent representatives, a superior security team, and responsive billing and help people. The system was easy to install and configure. I can’t commend them highly enough.

    My iQ panel experienced a random issue that was promptly diagnosed and taken care of by the after-hours tech support at LiveWatch. Even so, LiveWatch recommended replacement of the panel. This was at no charge to me, even though the panel was several years old. The new panel arrived promptly, and the LiveWatch Tech support person was courteous and knowledgeable. Transfer to new monitoring panel was effected very competently.

    I got my system in the mail within two business days just like they said it would. When I got my system I opened it up and it looked a little overwhelming at first but later that day I got my scheduled phone call for my testing and training and the service rep talked me through putting my system up and getting it all activated. I am very pleased with LiveWatch Security and would definitely recommend!

    This company is amazing. From ordering to set up and tech support. They are always there to answer questions and resolve any issue I’ve ever had, mostly with learning how to set things up. By far a superior company. No contracts, ever and very reasonable monitoring fees. I had possible battery failure in my motion sensors and called them. The very next day I received new batteries from them at no charge….Their communication, once the alarm is triggered is top notch….I highly recommend LiveWatch!

    We researched several home security services and in the end we chose Live Watch. The sales representative was excellent and followed through on all issues. The installation tech was also excellent and easily talked us through the installation process. The system and technology are easy to use and is in no way intiminating.     Very informative and professional customer service. It was a pleasure doing business with genuine down to earth people on our own soil. I am elated to do business with a truly American company after all of the hours I’ve wasted speaking with customer representatives for other companies that I can barely understand. I am very pleased with the product so far and of course the secure feeling of knowing my family is protected while I am gone is worth it’s weight in gold.
