No Early Termination Fees

LiveWatch customers are free to cancel their service at any time with no early termination fees, although you may have to pay for your equipment. Many home security companies require their customers to pay the remaining balance of their contract, which sometimes adds up to hundreds of dollars.

Customers don't have to worry about their monitoring costs rising since their rate-lock guarantee ensures monthly rates will not increase.

Trial Period

Potential customers can try the Brinks Home Security plan/equipment for 30 days. If unsatisfied, it can be returned for a full refund.

Minimum Home Automation Equipment

Link Interactive, now part of Brinks Home Security, does not sell home automation equipment. Those interested in home automation will have to purchase equipment separately from another company. The company sells very limited equipment: motion sensors, door sensors, fire monitoring, indoor cameras, and doorbell cameras.

Expensive Monthly Fees

Those who choose to roll the cost of their equipment into their monthly monitoring costs will end up paying or $40.08 for Nest Secure $42.86 for Home Complete, $55.64/month for Home Complete + Video. This is without any additional sensors.

very bad experiences with livewatch,spend total 3-4 hours with them in 2-3 days about home security system,have not even one person tell me the system i pay for require phoneline!!!glad i see many other redflags and decide not to use them!!!

It's fine until you want to cancel. I've asked for the cancellation form like it says to on their site, but instead get an email about how they would like to talk first. Oh brother. They will keep charging away after the first year is over too. Never again.

I received my system 8 days ago, and still not completely setup yet. The main panel wasn't the right one due to fact our cellular works under AT&T not Verizon which the system was sent was on Verizon's towers. The front door entrance sensor doesn't coincide with the door due to the door being within the casing of the door, so I had to re-order a recessor for it. Supposively, made the order 2-3 days ago and when I was on the phone with the rep yesterday to verify the shipment, found out the order wasn't even placed. Went through 2-3 techs and they're customer service and knowledge was terrible. Especially, having to figure things out on my own took a lot of time and energy. Would be on the phone with them 3-4 hours and still can't figure the best solution. They cannot deliver nor educate me on how to's and what to expect since this is the first time having a home security system. At this point, still beyond frustrated trying to get my home secured and safe. I have an appointment with ADT to evaluate this Saturday.

I have used live watch for almost 4 years. The installation was simple and technical support is exceptional. I had a window sensor fail and they sent a new one no charge. I did have a battery fail on the system panel which I paid for - $15 since it is off the shelf. Again, support was outstanding! I would strongly recommend them especially since they use standard equipment. Not one false alarm!

I signed up with LiveWatch about 5weeks ago. The experience has not been what I expected. It is hard to get somebody on the phone within ten minutes, unless you sign up, and the online chat is almost impossible. The system itself is not cheap and I am having issues with the motion detectors. The one with the camera just goes off all the time and the sensitivity has been lowered already. I just can't use it anymore. Many issues with wrong phone numbers and they just don't seem to be able to correct it. Letting them know that we were going on vacation and we were not available on our cellphones was a mission. I am having some serious doubts at the moment.

Live Watch has the best customer service I've experienced in a long time. I was researching alarm companies so I could ditch overpriced ADT. I found Live Watch and used their "chat" service to ask a ton of questions. I was never pressured or even asked to purchase anything until I expressed an interest. All of my questions were answered quickly and accurately. Every representative I have dealt with has been extremely friendly and helpful. I was even able to use all of my existing sensors with my new Simon XTI touchscreen control panel. I HIGHLY recommend the nominal price upgrade to the XTI because it is very user friendly. Syncing the sensors to the panel is so easy that it was fun to do. There are videos on the web site that walk you through every step of the set up. I laughed when I saw "The Bad" in the review overview. This system was so easy to set up and I can't imagine any "self-maintenance" other than replacing a battery when the time comes. I don't think you can find a company that offers this level of customer support at such an affordable price.

Install was simple and easy, and they start you out with set up time while you're learning. Price was extremely affordable and I bundled 15 months of monitoring. Now we're in the 16th month at 29.95 mo and it's still better or equal to the other's best rates. Alarm events are handled well with a call before summoning the police, and an email record of the event. AT&T's most comparable rate, $44.99. I'm staying put.

The system pays for itself because of the monitoring service's low rates. I have had my Simon XT for over 4 years going on 5. The monitoring service and technical support and has been superb during that time!

Installed system 2 weeks ago- problem with door sensor which was quickly fixed. Sales rep, technical support & installation tech couldn't have been better. Thanks especiallyto sSteve for his patience. We got the touchscreen but find being able to control system with app on our phones fromanywhere is great. Also like that it is completely wireless with battery backup. Also the 1 yr contract option & low monthly monitoring by them is a plus.
