NCA was one of the first security companies in American to do a non-contractual monitoring agreement.

NCA's philosophy is that if the customer owns the equipment there is no reason it should cost $30 or more a month for monitoring.

With NCA, they require that the customer purchase all the equipment up front and then receive monitoring for as long as they want and can cancel at any time.

NCA can install both hardwired and wireless systems, but if you go with the wireless system the monthly cost for monitoring is $19.95 rather than $9.95.

Either way, customers are going to pay somewhere around $400-$500 initially and can customize their systems with motion detectors, door sensors, smoke and glass-break detectors, etc.

Low Monthly Fees

The key reason to go with NCA is that you are going to save money over the long run. Many other companies will offer "free" or $99 systems initially but then lock customers into 5-year agreements for $40/month or more.

With NCA, you pay more upfront because you are buying all the equipment but are then saving money in the long run with a much cheaper monthly agreement.

Very Positive Customer Reviews

National Certified Alarms, Inc. has a disproportionate amount of positive reviews. Customers state that service technicians are thorough and very quick to respond to requests.

Other customers say that their service technicians were very intelligent and professional. Customers are also obviously happy with the reduced monthly monitoring fee, which is likely one of the lowest in the entire home security industry.

With a high satisfaction rating among their customers, there is very little to complain about with NCA.  However, customers do need to be aware that most costs incurred will be upfront. If new customers are not in a position to front the costs of the equipment in their entirety then this might not be a feasible option.

Our Recommendation

NCA is a great company for anyone in the Southeastern United States who is looking for a great home security system at an excellent price. At around $10/month and no contract, this is one of the best deals on the market today.

Have used NCA for over ten years on the initial recommendation of our insurance agent. They converted and added to the system that was already in our home when we bought it. They were very quick to respond when I had a repair issue and again when I wanted to add glass break detection to the system. Excellent customer service. Quick response from the monitoring center the few times we accidentally set off the alarm.

The technicians and the service are good. The accounting department is not. Wife and I got divorced. They had my card on auto charge every year but in my wife's name. Took multiple phone calls to get them to credit my card back. They have a policy of only issuing refund checks to avoid the processing charge on the CC. That would be ok, except I had just purchased $450 of equipment to set up my new home with them and was an ongoing customer. Not great customer service when you don't want to swallow $4 worth of processing fees for a customer who has paid $500 to you. After multiple phone calls and insisting, they finally were willing to kick it up to the manager or owner who agreed. Seems like a common sense decision that shouldn't have required significant aggravation.

I had the alarm system installed today and I was completely pleased with the competence, knowledge, and professionalism by the technician. What could have been very difficult was taken care of cheerfully and expertly. Great company!

I entered into this with a 1 year contract, unfortunately in November of 2016, my husband passed away, so November was paid, as was December and I moved out at the end of December. I called to cancel, they (I thought) were very sincere in their regards and said under the circumstances since I was moving in with my son and I would have no control who was his provider of security they said they would terminate the contract. But they would have to come pick up all the equipment. The only thing they did when I moved in was replace the control box, everything else was already there. I told them it would be ok to get it all, it didn't need to be there if there was no service. But they would need to come pick it up before I moved because I would no longer have access to the house. They said they would call..sometime in January they did, I went to talk to the people living there and they graciously said it was ok. I was to meet him there, I was there but he never showed up till 3 hours later and of course I wasn't there so I don't know what they took. Then today I receive a bill telling me I said I'd pay for the last 3 months of the service so I owe $119. I'm going to pay them because I don't want it on my credit and that's the only reason. So if you talk to billing at all, be sure you record your conversation, I wish I had then I could prove that I didn't say that and they promised to cancel the contract. I don't recommend them and therefore give them a lower score than I normally would have. As far as their service I assume it's ok, never had a problem.

I called today inquiring about your product. I had several questions as to which type of monitoring would work best with the system I have now. after a few minutes the representative informed me he had a doctors appointment and needed to "rap this call up". So I said "fine we're done then" and hung up.

We have had 3 different services.. The rep called twice to verify his time, courteous, knowledgeable, welcomed questions and made sure we knew how everything worked before he left. Went over with us the best ways to keep the system at its ultimate function & how to keep the smoke detector clean We were extremely impressed with the explanation. We would recommend NCA

Installer was on time, knowledgeable and properly evaluated placement of devices. I chose NCA because of reputation, and because over the long run it is the best value. Paying up front for equipment I own isn't really any different than making a downpayment on a car or house. Home security is an investment in your peace of mind!
