All of Nationwide Security's sales, installation, and services are provided by in-house employees and not by subcontractors, plus all of their employees are required to past professional background checks. Nationwide also claims to be the only ADT dealer in Colorado that offers residential and commercial sales and promotional offers, ADT Pulse (smartphone compatibility), and ADT Companion Service.
An added benefit to contracting with Nationwide is receiving all the benefits of working with ADT. For example, ADT is America's number one security company, has been in business since 1874, is larger than the next 99 competitors combined, has 6 redundant monitoring centers all inter-connected, and is currently monitoring over 8 million homes. This means that on a day-to-day basis your home and family will receive the best monitoring the security market has to offer.
Nationwide essentially doesn't offer a warranty to customers unless they purchase a certain amount of equipment. Besides the 90-day manufacturer's warranty, Nationwide only covers maintenance for customers who choose a package that is at least $33.99 a month. This type of policy is unusual in the security industry. Most companies offer either a basic minimum warranty of one year or a lifetime warranty regardless of the package chosen.
Although Nationwide is a relatively young security company they have quickly established themselves as a trustworthy dealer in the community. Customers should feel confident in their decision to have their family and homes protected by Nationwide Security. View our top-rated companies
About Nationwide Security
Nationwide is an ADT dealer out of Littleton, CO, and therefore offers many of the same packages that other ADT affiliate companies provide. Utilizing mostly Honeywell equipment, Nationwide offers both cellular and phone-line based systems that run from $99 to $499 upfront and $27.99 to $59.99/month for monitoring fees. All packages include a 36-month contract and a 90-day manufacturer warranty. If a customer purchases a package that is at least $34/month then maintenance on any malfunctioning equipment is free. All packages include the following:
- Control panel
- Battery backup
- 3 door contacts
- 1 motion sensor
- Fire alarm
- Carbon monoxide detector
- Sign & stickers

The company seemed great at first, and the product was fine, but the customer service doesn't exist. There is no option to talk to anyone, just get voicemail. I need to cancel my service, but I've had no one call me back in a month. I want to just stop payment to them, but I don't want to hurt my credit score. Anyone have any ideas??

Their customer service is awful. I have called them and Moni 23 times in the last 9 months and our billing still isn't correct. Nationwide dumped our contract onto Moni and both are awful. In the last 9 months I have gotten 2 bills and neither one was correct. Nationwide was still taking money from the checking account after they said I needed to pay Moni.

This company is a joke, you can't cancel your service cause they won't answer their phone and won't return calls when you ask them to. I stopped payment through my bank and that finally got them to respond. Now they harass me endlessly trying to get more money. Contacting bbb cause I have had enough. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

Had a guy randomly show up at my door almost 2 years ago who said that my house was "in the perfect spot to advertise a fresh security company" and that I will get "additional savings from their services if i agreed to display their logo/sign in my front lawn." The numbers looked good and when asked about cancellation, i was told that I could cancel if i was bot pleased with the service at any time, without a problem. A little over a year passed and i lose my job and find a better opportunity in a different city. Call Nationwide Security to cancel, and they slap me with a "signed 5 year contract!" Now i am paying for services i do not and cannot use because their sleazy sales guy straight up lied to me. Hope he burns in hell.

Numerous tripped alarms where no action on behalf of the company was taken. One evening we left the alarm motion sensor on and a miscommunication between my wife and I left the dog in the house. Three and a half hours later we come home and the alarm is blaring with a noticeably deaf dog and absolutely zero phone calls notifying us of the tripped alarm or first responder response. Don't waste your money. Once our contract is up we are headed elsewhere.

This company is a habitual nuisance which continues to call your phone number several times a day and throughout the week, month. You get the idea. They use several different phone numbers so you might forget which one called. I have told them several times to take my phone number off their list, to no avail. & I am on the do not call list. I have contacted the BBB , and a local TV Channel that goes after companies such as Nationwide Security. You should do the same, how reliable is a company that harasses their prospects to purchase from them? In my book I wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole.

The person that came to my home, came thru a gate with a lock hanging on it--which I do to keep people out. Strike one.. When I answered the door, he didn't tell me who he was. Strike two He looked around and said, looks like your getting new neighbors, you need a security system. I asked why and he asked me.. don't you want to protect your stuff? When I asked him why he would say that, he said I was going to get new neighbors... Strike three He was very arrogant and pushing me to get the system. He said I should be worried about being robbed... why is he going to rob me?? I finally had enough and told him numerous times I wasn't interested, and finally just had to close the door on him.

Jason C personally arranged for and supervised the installation of our system at a time that was convenient for us and we have enjoyed the peace of mind the system and service provides. When we had an error occur with one of the sensors the tech arrived as scheduled and took care of the issue promptly. Love the app-based access to the system.
