3-Year Contract

One downside of Protect America Home Security is its 3-year (36-month) contract.

Cancellation Policy

IQ Panel 2 (Upgraded Control Panel)

Protect America offers several different types of sensors.

They have the door and window sensors which detect whenever the door or window is opened. The Protect America door and window sensors are wireless microsensors which means they do not have to be plugged into your wall and are hidden out of the way.

This is a deadbolt door lock that you can control from your mobile app for keyless access to your house.

Remote that you keep on your keys to arm and disarm the alarm at your home.

The keychain remote works up to 100 feet and includes a flashlight and an alarm sound.

Indoor Camera: $100

Protect America enables users to view video surveillance through their "Smart Connect App."

This is the second call/chat I made on the same issue with my control unit. I was expecting to be guided through the similar troubleshooting steps as my first call. However, I was given somewhat different troubleshooting steps and the agent was able to reach a conclusion and dispatched replacement parts. I am actually quite happy with this particular experience. The rating would be a 10 if my first call back in couple weeks ago was able to resolve the problem. Nevertheless, the overall experience is still quite positive.

We have been with protect America for years and have referred many people to them. But last year we sold our house in Texas and was building a new house and asked them to put our system on hold for six months till we could install it in our new house. They said no they could only put it on hold for one month. Crazy Direct TV work with us and had no problems. Why should we have to pay if we have no house to protect. I plan on leaving this company. This is unsatisfactory.
