Have had Protect America for about 5 months. Glad I waited to give a review. At first service was very good , quick and service reps were very helpful. and responsive. Lately though have had a lot of problems with the phone app. Can not depend on it half the time as it just does not work. Hate to see this because it was working well for awhile. Followed all the instructions to get it going back to the original usage but they keep having problems on their end, The app is a great service if it is working. So beware. .

I had a major break in while on vacation. I have been researching companies for a week. I felt like for the up front cost they were the best deal. Not thrilled about the three year contract but that the price you pay for no up front cost. We will see how it goes when I get the system installed. Hopefully they keep the ten but I have the feeling all alarm companies are a little iffy.

After seeing "No Upfront Costs" and "$19.95/mo.", I called. Oh how different it was then! From $19.95 to $41.99/mo for 8 entry point sensors and NO CAMERAS. Wow... great deal, NOT. Don't be scammed.

Run, don't walk from this company. I highly recommend Vivint over PAI. Let me begin by saying that I typically research companies fairly well before I commit to anything in writing. However, with PAI, I was drawn in by the free hardware costs (free primarily due to the self-installation). The hardware is easy to install however the setup and programming of sensor names and system preferences has taken multiple attempts for an hour at a time on the phone with the PAI customer service reps. I have the cellular system that needs no landline or internet connect, however multiple times the system has just began beeping in the middle of the night for no apparent reason. I don't know if it loses cell reception and triggers but when I call the monitoring company they have no sign of malfunction or alarm trigger. Also, I previously used the free smartphone app to arm and disarm the system. But more times than not, I would receive a 'System Response Failed' error. Another issue I've experienced since inception is I'm receiving notifications on my phone that the system has been disarmed. Since I'm sitting at my desk at work, this is a little un-nerving. When I call the monitoring center, it appears its still armed. I've been told a couple times now that their notification server was down and these are old notifications being sent out after the fact. Yesterday I received one that my system was armed, then fice minutes later, was disarmed. I don't know what they're doing, but I have very little faith in this company and the safety of my home. Stay away from them.. Now I'm stuck with 30 more months with this horrible company because they will not let me out of my contract short of paying for all 30 months. I gave them a two for trying.. :)

I was with ADT for 18 years until this week. I am now with Protect America. Protect America made it affordable for me to secure my windows (17) and entrances (3) for a small fraction of what ADT wanted. I like the control panel and it being celluar I don't have to worry about someone cutting my landlines. ADT had only secured (3) entrances and every year rate increase plus I had to buy back up battery. Now with Protect America I don't have that to worry with.

Protect America never reimbursed my $399.50. In Summer, 2009, because I had smoke detectors, I decided against their fire protection. After two years of the contract, my home burned to the ground. Yet, they kept charging my credit card for a system that no longer existed! I attempted for a year to stop the charge and get this money back, including a letter sent return receipt. My insurance company sent Protect America validation of the totality of the fire. It has been yet another year with no results. This was a real test of Protect America's integrity and ethics: THEY FAILED...miserably.

This sounds like a good deal reading the reviews, but I found the equipment and service to be sub-par (almost useless). It took to couple of months to get the system working as you have to install everything using the stickers and sensors they provide you. After multiple hours and call the system was made to work (not to my satisfaction). On few occasions one of us went out not switching off the alarm. Some call center guy tried to reach us calling all the phones in the system for half an hour till one of us responded and they hung up. I realized there is no use with this service. The company squeezes you as much as they can. Due to technical issues for 2 months I was waived 2 months of fees, however they made me pay for extra 2 months till they got all their money. For more than 2 years (out of 3 years contract) we just kept paying the fees. The battery went bad after 1 and half year and they sent a new battery (I had to fight with them not to bill for the replacement battery - I was told the battery would last 3 years of contract term). It was a project to install the battery and reset the system (I had no idea if the system really worked). By then I gave up hope. Beware of this company. Now I have a local provider with only 6 months contract which I have been extending month by month. Great service and prompt response.

I have been with Protect America over 6 years now. Started in an apartment and moved to a house the 2nd year. They worked with me to help out with the cost of adding over 20 additional sensors and setup was easy. The customer service team and alarm monitoring team are both top notch, professional and friendly. They love what they do and truly love working for their company. I have had my smoke detector go off a few times, caused by the oven smoking. Even after canceling the alarm the monitoring center will still call to make sure everything is OK. I recently upgraded my system to the wireless (cellular) system and love it (again they worked with me on the cost of the unit and monthly cost). Touch display in the bedroom works great. Love the alerts sent to smartphones as well as being able to arm and disarm the system remotely. I have yet to have to replace any batteries in any of the sensors (which I was concerned about initially but was told they last a long time and they were correct). If you are looking for a alarm system, great customer service and customer loyalty, this is the company for you.

Their customer service reps are great. Ordered system based on help from them. Arrived about 5 days later. I had the system up and working great in just a couple of hours. All my questions were answered quickly and accurately. I have the cellular version so if the internet or phone lines are cut the system still works. The GE equipment is simply great. As long as you are having them monitor the equipment is warrantied. I couldn't be happier.

We actually canceled our services with Protect America! However, they were very understanding to why. Customer service rep Quincy was very helpful in the process of my cancellation. Aaron was the sales rep that placed my order and I tip my hat to him. He was very patient, he compared other companies to Protect America, and he gave my the facts. I really do appreciate the customer service they offered, from Aaron to Quincy all were helpful. The equipment was cool to we just couldn't use it in our home.

Originally, I had planned to go with ADT because I wasn't familiar with any other monitoring system. But, I did a little research and talked with a rep at Protect America via chat and through the call center. They answered all my question and everyone was so pleasant. So, I finally made the decision to go with Protect America. Andrew was beyond helpful and informative at helping me troubleshoot. Overall, the system was easy to install and they have excellent customer service.

I just switched from ADT to Protect America. I knew I made the right choice went their CARE representative reached out to me instead of the other way around. They walked me through a quick installation process and continue to follow up with me on the phone and via email to make sure everything is working the way I want it too. I also had a conversation on an issue with Level 2 support and they were equally fantastic. Everything was squared away in one call. I wish I would have moved to Protect America a long time ago. Today I touched my fire alarm button by mistake. It made an awful racket, but within less than a minute, after disarming it I got a call from Protect America checking to see if my house was on fire or if it was a false alarm. Very reassuring to know they're on top of it.

You know a company has zero customer service when the agent in customer service starts arguing with the customer and the supervisor does not offer any help either. With this bad experience I looked at the reviews and ratings on this site and through this site contacted Protect America. From the first call till the deal was signed and the installation it was a superb experience. I was treated with utmost respect, and highly valued as a customer. I am in QA, so I know what excellent customer is and what bad customer service is. The customer service with Protect America is the best one can expect. Bout the product and value for money, I did not find anyone who offered me so much for a very affordable price with the assurance that the price will not increase and no surprise charges. The guy who walked me through the installation was absolutely knowledgeable and empowering. I learned a lot about alarm systems and it was a great experience doing the installation myself. I began with wanting the agent to send me a technician. He promised me it was very easy and that I could keep the money I would spend on a technician in my pocket. If you are looking to change or fed up with your current provider or just exploring an alarm service, I would highly recommend Protect America. Protect America's alarm system is a great system along with awesome customer care. I installed the system in the beginning of August. The system was loaded with sensors, key fobs, a touch screen, and a cellular based control panel. I also got the in car GPS based monitoring service. The installation was fairly simple and I had the luxury of their staff coaching me through the installation. The system is highly customizable and you can add a ton of optional sensors to the system. It even has intelligent house control through the Zwave control module built right into the panel. Overall, the system has surpassed my expectations with the hightly customizable and interactive system.. If you are looking for a top of the line system with easy budget control, Protect America is an awesome security service providers.

Very pleased with system/service. All wireless; easy to install; and the service rep walks you through the whole set-up on the phone. Only issue is they didn't send the garage door sensors and the glass shatter sensor was broken. They informed me that new sensors would ship out shortly.

I was a ADT customer and they straight out robbed me because everytime anything went wron with my system I had to pay the technician $99 everytime he came out ( and this is before he even looked at the problem). I ended up paying out $300 and still had problems. I called protect america and the rep I had (Raven) was so professional and patient. She took her time and explained everything to me. I wish I went with protect america 5yrs ago i sure would have saved a lot of money.

I was persuaded by this company's ad, the high rating and a lot of the reviews here to try this company over any of the others, and I was amazed at the quick response to my indication of interest - within a minute of clicking on the please contact me button, my phone rang. The very friendly sales rep went through the options for my house and noted the features I wanted. I have a lot of windows at ground level and 5 doors. The salesperson recommended an alarm for each, plus a motion detector and a couple of smoke detectors. When he gave me the upfront cost, even with a few sensors thrown in, my jaw dropped. It was well over $700! Where was the no or low out-of-pocket cost? I had passed over other companies whose "ultra" packages had cost hundreds because I thought this one would be much more reasonable. My second nasty surprise came when I found out that the monthly fee was going to be almost $54! They were generously giving me a couple of perks (like a special on the freeze detector) but they were then increasing my monthly fee by $2 in exchange. Because of the high rating on this website, I swallowed hard and agreed to the 36 month contract. That was the last time I heard from the company directly. I received an email notice a couple of days later from Quantum indicating that a UPS package was en route and expected a week later (on a Thursday). It didn't arrive that day. It came a day later. I mistakenly thought, from many of the previous reviewers' comments, that I would be contacted by a rep from Protect America once they knew my package had arrived. After all, I got a text message that it had been delivered. No one called. I wasn't able to set up the equipment for a couple of days, and still no one called to ask if I was having any issues or needed technical assistance. Nothing. Crickets. My buyer's remorse was increasing by the hour. I spoke to an acquaintance in our town who had given me the idea for a home security system in the first place and found out he was using another company that was covering both his house and an out building he used for two businesses for $33.99/month. I called them (TWC) and while the upfront cost for equipment was comparable, my monthly fee was also going to be fixed at $33.99, and if I added more equipment, the fee would stay the same. Their contract was for just 18 months. Bottom line, I hadn't unpacked the Protect America equipment yet (and almost a week later still hadn't been contacted by the company), so I shipped it back within the 14 day window in the contract and cancelled it. I ended up going with TWC and am very happy with the result. Will write a separate review for that company. I was finally contacted by Protect America - four days after my returned package was received - by the salesperson I had talked to, wanting to know why I cancelled. It was a message on my answering machine, and I decided I didn't owe them an explanation. For those of you persuaded by the positive rating and reviews here, things are not always as they appear. My experience was very different.

We received our equipment in just a few days and the install was simple (15 minutes). Sarah was the install rep we talked to on the phone to activate (she was awesome!). We just received our system a week ago. The process for installing was easy and the representative, Sara, we spoke with was very pleasant and helpful. I like receiving a text message whenever the system is armed or disarmed and the software for my iphone is user friendly. I like knowing that our detached garage is also protected. I've had this system for 3 years now with only minimum problems which were resolved promptly by the help personnel. One of the problem wasn't there issue it was mine for not installing barn sensor correctly. I think this is the best system available for the cost and ease of installation. I have had a few accidently alarm trips and was notified immediately from there response center. :)

Very Pleased with Protect America. My Rep that helped me on the phone was Great! My Technical Support Rep was Great! I got the Gold package and I love it so far and with my system being wireless I can move any of the system around. I'm not a huge fan of the 36 month contract but I agreed because they let you take your system with you when you move or you can transfer the contract into the new owners name. You cant beat that. I called several alarm companies and Protect America was the best deal.
