  • Response Rate: SafeTouch prides itself on its guaranteed 45-second response time, meaning that if your security system is triggered in any way, you will hear from a SafeTouch representative in under a minute.
  • Warranty: There is a warranty on both parts and service for as long as you are a SafeTouch customer. And if you are not completely satisfied within 30 days, you may return your security system for a full refund.
  • Contract: SafeTouch features a 36-month minimum contract requirement, which can be a long-term commitment for new customers. Customers do have the option to pay a month-by-month contract after two years, but unless they specify this as their preference, SafeTouch will role them into an additional two-year contract.
  • Our Recommendation: While SafeTouch responds quickly and provides a warranty for parts and service, their long-term contract and lack of company transparency is reason enough to look elsewhere for home security. Companies like Protect America and Frontpoint are viable options.

    The video camera that was installed stopped working 20 days after the “warranty” which was only 60 days or something. And it would cost $150 to send someone out to look at it. Also, the response time is more than 45 seconds and not what was promised. I’m VERY disappointed because I wanted a local company but they aren’t delivering their promises.Read More

    After the signing up with safe touch 3 months later our camera stopped working. The two way communicator barely comes on if the alarm goes off. After a year of dealing with this poor quality security system we wanted to cancel but low and behold we are apparently locked into a 5year contract which was not discussed durning the initial sign up. I would have never agreed to a 5year contract for anything!Read More

    What kind of radio commercial advertising is that in Tampa ? That voice is so irritating and makes anyone listening quickly shut it off. I’m not looking for a home security system and do not need one but I needed to reach out to tell you how horrible of an ad that was. Get it off the air

    Very bad experience from day one. There so called expolice salesmen told us so much BS that we didn’t now what to think. Told us we would get 8 free window sensors plus a extra motion detection unit and two free key controls. Asked him about the paper we needed to sign with prices on all these so called free items, and he said yes it’s free but you need to sign it for inventory. He told us the monitoring woulf be $30.00 a month and ended up being around $60.00. Tryed to cancel but they would let us because the day after we signed they sent it to a 3rd party and they said we had to pay them for 3years. Told them I thought there company was a scam and wanted to cancel at the earliest date. Checked back with them later about 3 year and they said my contact was automatically renewing for another two years ! Warning Lester Jackson there CEO is a scam and after leaving over 100 messages for him to call me, my message went unanswered. Five years later my credit is shot and I’m still stuck with this crappy system!!!!

    The salesman promised more than the company could deliver. He is no longer with Safetouch. Just called to let the company know I will be out of town. On hold for 10 minutes, so I finally gave up. When there is a problem with the alarm sounding for no apparent reason and it turns out to be a bad battery in a window wireless connection, instead of replacing all of the batteries for all the windows (since they were all installed at the same time), the repairman replaces one battery. Then a week later, replaces another one. A week later another one, etc. Wastes everyone’s time! This company was better when it first started. Seems to be cutting corners.

    Called made an appointment. The sales person was over half an hour late. Agreed to services as well as pre paid for equipment. They were very fast at taking the money out but never called to schedule to install. Four days latter I call to get them to schedule install. I take time off to get the install done and they are late and one of them isn’t even wearing a safe touch uniform. My current system has two keypads the one to replace doesn’t have two only one. So the installer says he can add them at additional cost. Then he goes into the limitations of the recording features and suggests the inside camera not be set up to record. That’s the whole point of having cameras to be able to record! I tell them to leave and they resist trying to defend their position so I insisted they leave. The start to leave and say that I will get a refund as requested. Call to cancel and get the refund processed at 815am. Then the sales rep calls to try to salvage the business. I tell them unless you can process my refund I have nothing to talk to you about. Still waiting to talk to someone about a refund.

    Trying to cancel this service is like pulling hen’s teeth. I have been trying to cancel our service for well almost 2 months. We are still getting charged. We are still being told they “never got our email” to cancel. ABSOLUTE CROOKS. Stay away from them!! Overpriced and totally not worth the hassle. Go with ADT.

    Just in case anyone was thinking about getting a home security system and let’s say you are thinking about Safe Touch, punch yourself in the face repeatedly with a barbwire wrapped stick until you change your mind. To put it in very simple terms and interrupting all the legal jargon and 14 pages of contracts you sign this is the bottom line- you sign a 5 year contract for $45.00 a month. Refuse to pay it they will send you to collections and then your credit rating is affected, you lose. Stay away and think about that stick every time you hear a Safe Touch commercial. Oh yea I almost forgot to tell you, if you don’t advise them 60 days in advance to the end of your contract you are automatically enrolled into another 2yr contract, remember the 14 page contract- it was in the fine print. Think really hard about Safe Touch!

    I have been a Safe Touch customer from the beginning when they bought out Scot Alarm. I have always been pleased with their service. This month I moved and had a complete new system installed. Jamie S performed the installation. I was very impressed with his work. He is a very knowledgeable person and did an outstanding job explaining the system and how it works. I love my new system.

    I have been a Safetouch customer for 7 years and I would recommend their service to everyone. I really like the 2 way communicator that allows the Safetouch operation to communicate with you to determine what your needs are when the alarm is triggered. The batteries were low on my medical pendants and Jesse B. provided excellent service with replacing all the batteries in my sensors and testing my system.

    I can not recommend Safetouch even though I have been a business customer for around 10 years. When my home service stopped working and kept beeping I contacted Safetouch and they would not help me as the account was in my ex-wife’s name. I told them if they could not fix it or stop the beeping (which had kept me up the night before) they needed to stop charging me and cancel me account. They agreed over the phone. However they kept charging me and when I wanted to cancel the account later they told me that it had automatically renewed for 2 years because they did not receive a cancellation letter which they never told me I needed to send. They refused to work with me in any way and the only way I could cancel they account was to pay off the remainder of the balance for the contract. If I did not they said they would take my ex-wife to court. I explained to them that I had a service that did not work and that if they forced me to pay off the balance I was going to take my business account somewhere else. I was not asking for a refund of the money they charged my card without my permission, just for them to waive the remainder of the contract and let us go our separate ways. How much was left on the contact? $120. They refused. Amazing that a company can so steadfastly refuse to help and work with a customer that has been doing business with them for a decade. $120 was more important to them than my patronage, good will, and also the simple fact that they were providing me with a service that was not working. Please read the contact and be aware that it will auto-renew and that money is more important to Safetouch than service our your loyal patronage.

    My Techs name is Aldo. He came on time and he took the time out to explain the monitor system to me, and showed exactly what he was doing at all time.     This company will not let you terminate your services with them – even in extenuating circumstances – even when you were not informed of the automatic 2 year renewal. In fact, they could not even provide me with a billing invoice for a payoff. It took me 3 months and many customer service representatives (including supervisors) to even get the invoice with a payoff. I sold the home and still have to pay for someone else’s security system for the next year and a half. This people will rip you off. Do yourself a favor and please use a different company.

    We had our system installed in Jan, 2015 and now for the third time one of the window sensors has failed. We have been awakened in the middle of the night at least 15 times in less than two years by the alarm beeping, terrified that someone was breaking into our home. There is no way to stop it even if unplugged due to battery backup. I understand that sometimes electronic parts fail but when calling for service it is always a 4 or 5 day wait for an available service tech to come out and replace the sensor. Oh, by the way, a service tech can come out the same day IF you are willing to pay $150. to fix the cheap sensors they use on install. So it is obvious someone is available but won’t come out unless paying a premium. In the meantime get ready for 4 sleepless nights as the alarm keeps beeping every few hours. There are available sensors that are larger and emit a stronger signal that can fix the problem but last time it was repaired I was told they are more expensive and the tech can not install one if the smaller one works while he is there. Then to make matters worse, the service manager, Denzel, is rude and couldn’t care less about what problems you are having or how many times the system beeps. I purchased a three year paid up front contract and they certainly are not holding up their end of the contract. Don’t believe Lester J and his commercials, once they have your money, they couldn’t care less about you.

    Service out over a week. Alarm beeped 12-14 times a day. Told company I was going to disconnect equipment and they could come and get it. Continued billing 5 months. They don’t have their people in Orlando and use contractors who work on their schedule not Safe touch.

    I lost my wallet and in the process of replaceing all my documents, I forgot to contact Safe Touch to give them my new credit card number. My wife receive a call today that Safe Touch wanted to contact them. I worked in 90+ degree all day and when I came home I called Safe Touch to take care of the card. After getting to the appropriate location on their phones, I was informed that an OUTSTANDING representative will be with me and I was first in line. After 10 minutes on hold and the massage that I was still number one on line I hung up. So I call the monitor station and explaned to the girl about my experience and I informed her that I do not want to go on hold again. Guess what, I was put on hold again. NOT AN OUTSTANDING representative. In the past I refered over 10 customers f mine to them. No more. Do these people want to get paid or should I switch to Simply Safe and save $10 a month?

    Make sure to read section 5 – if you get to see the contract. Basically if you sing up with Safetouch, you are locked into a 5 year agreement and they happily charge the cancellation fee. This is dishonest because I specifically asked for it and to sell the contract they say yes to anything but then you are bound to the contract terms.
    Service is not better than others but the dishonest business practices are a never again for me.

    I will never use this company again. Their billing system is dishonest Even after paying for all the equipment and only using their monitoring services, after 3 years they had the audacity to bill me $43.00 per month for monitoring, telling me that it’s a five year contract and not a three year contract. I moved out of the area, called cancelling my contract, was told to send a letter, which I did, they state that they didn’t receive it so…bill, bill, bill. Nobody follows up in their customer service! Never again!

    Will tell you it is a 3 year agreement at signing, however at 36 months monthly fee more than doubled and when we called to cancel they said no it is a 5 year contract and you can’t cancel. Attempted to speak to a manager and was sent to a voicemail with no return call. Attempted to contact by e-mail through online site and got no response. Shady organization with shady business practices.

    I was just floored by the $125/hr charge to switch the cellular card to the phone line. Like another customer, I needed to lower my monthly expenses. This is an unreasonably high labor charge. I have a feeling that their business plan is to lock you into a contract, enforce the contract as vigorously as they can, and make cancelling as tricky as it can be. Slimy business practice.

    One of the worst companies I have ever worked with. When our sales person came out, he pushed us through the contract without giving us the price after our prepaid time expired after three years. When we called to cancel the service to upgrade to a better system through another company, as the SafeTouch equipment looks like it’s from 1980 and isn’t modernized at all, they informed us that the contract price had increased and we could pay the extra $22/month or pay off the service (2 years left). When we tried to remove the 3G monitoring and to to a phone line (to save $18/month), they wanted $125 to come out and switch it. When I asked them to just turn that service and collect monthly payments without monitoring us at all, they refused. All they had to do was type into their computer and collect money for doing nothing, but they want the extra fees that they can tack on to scam us with every time we turn around.

    Other services and systems are much better, don’t let SafeTouch scam you like they did us.

    We have safetouch, had a few minor glitches, but the techs responded and fix the problems. The contract I signed was fine with me because I actually read it. The salesman I had was an older guy, retired police officer and explained everything to us. Had adt before and had two break ins. With Safetouch no problems. It your home, choose wisely.

    We have used Safetouch for many years, never had any issues. Our entire family and most of our friends also have Safetouch protecting their homes. Very easy to use and if any questions come about service is 24/7. Really don’t understand some of the problems listed in these reviews. This is pretty much the best security company out there for alot of reasons. Our sales guy was Bill , and we’re in Trinity , just north of Tampa. No problem with our salesman. He is always available and service techs are prompt and thorough.

    Below is just one example of a senario. There have been many……..

    Constant product malfunctions, poor customer service. It has been the worst experience and we have given them ample time (as in Months to resolve). False alarms going off saying there is a glass break, which there is not, we put in our code and the alarm stops but then it malfunctions again and the police are called. This has happened time after time and the service techs come out and acknowlege that the system is malfunctioning again and it is not us. However if we call customer service they just see the alarm go off.

    We are now also getting fines from the police department from the false alarms due to the malfuncitons.

    The company works in silos and nobody speaks to eachother. We have spent hours on hours with them to get resolution and we have yet to experience resolution. We are at the point where we are not using our alarm very often becasue we dont want to deal with the malfunctions.

    Our sales guy Bill simply says he has never seen this happen before and tells me he will follow up with me and I never hear from him. The customer service reps have been unhelpful. This morning I spoke with Evelyn a customer service supervisor and she was unhelpful and very unkind. She transfered me to Angel (who I see others on this board have also experienced poor customer service with). The call was dropped when they transfered and nobody called back. I had to call back and Angel was very unkind on the line with me. I am now waiting for John Piezac to call me back.

    I need help and nobody is willing to help.

    I would NEVER recommend safe touch security to ANY one!!!! First they made me sign a 5 year contract with them then on top of that I had to pay for the equipment for 3 years. They seem like they are cheaper than any other security company but that is WRONG they scammed me out of so much money!!!!! I bought my house then about a year or so later I upgraded my windows and asked them to come out and put the security magnets back on the new ones they were going to charge me $200 for them to come do that!!!!! So I had to do it on my own!!!! Then I recently sold this home on my 3 year anniversary of buying the home they sent me a bill for the equipment which was $150.00 when it should have been paid off!!!!!!!!!!! Then I had to email them asking them to cancel service and they charged me $75.00 for a buyout fee and the service STILL was not turned off by the time I signed papers and the house was NO longer mine!!!!! Called and called and told them over and over to shut it off and they just kept reminding me of my $75.00 buyout fee which I told them to take off the card they already had on file! All they want is money this was the very worse experience of my life!!!!! Will never ever use them again ????

    When I bought the house, the seller told me to use safe touch since she was satisfied with them. I needed to have a security system in the house immediately since i moved all my furniture but i didnt move to the house. The rep came and told me to sign and he didnt mention anything about the 36 months commitment. He asked me to pay close to $1000 to upgrade my system but i refused and decided to keep the current system which is really old and missing some sensors and one of them is broken. After i moved, i was shocked with the number of offers I recieved to install a new alarm system which i will provided with the latest system for free. I cant wait till my lease ends and ill never recommend this company to anyone.

    If you get equipment from SafeTouch and they use TimePayment Corp then you will FOREVER pay for that bill. Even when your “contract” is over you still OWE for the equipment. ITS HORRIBLE.

    ” If you are looking for a home security company with straightforward terms, greater availability, and quality equipment and services, you are encouraged to look elsewhere”……….says it all. We sold our home. called to cancel monitoring, since we no longer owned the home. And they refused to stop monitoring the home. they had no process to outline our options. essentially just kept saying – you can transfer the service. well we weren’t ready to transfer the service. They never offered for us to pay off our contract in full. we had to dig through our contract terms to find that option. BTW our contract only had 60-days still on it. It was stressful and ridiculous.Not at all a “Safe Touch”. Never again will we choose them.

    Been battling with them for over a year about their auto renew policy. I moved from the property over a year ago and they don”t want to deal with their customer and just want the money coming to their account every month. Don”t we all!!     Good service but they are no better than used car salesman. They do not point out that you are signing a five year agreement. Next if you don’t send them written cancellation, they automatically resign you for two more years. I had my own system in place, that they used. No one would knowingly sign a 5 year contract. You don’t even know if you will live there for 5 years. They are basically con artist. Beware before you sign. DON’T DUE BUSINESS WITH THEM.

    Very deceptive company. Like many others we thought we were signing for 3 years just to find out it was for five. When remodeling the house we found out that they would charge $125 per hour to do the required relocation. When ask for a representative to give us a set cost we were told it would cost the 125.00 just for the estimate. After paying a licensed contractor to do the required work for a fraction of the hourly rate we were then told they would not connect to the new set-up and would again have to pay 125.00 to have a tech come look at it to see what could be done. I’m sure they would want to redo a totally great set-up. Now we are stuck with buying out the last two years of the contract just so we can find another company who is willing to connect to our equipment. Very unreasonable people to deal with.

    Be very careful people because with their cancellation policy you have to do it 30 days before the end of the contract or they automatically renew on you
