In many ways, SafeTouch offers security systems comparable to other companies in the industry: average contract length of 36-months and an average installation fee of $99. However, their undisclosed pricing and equipment information, along with negative reviews of the company’s customer service, puts them behind the curve when it comes to choosing the best home security system.

Professional Installation

Many people interested in home security want a service that offers installation of motion sensors, security cameras, a monitoring station, and other equipment purchased. SafeTouch promises quality installation by their licensed employees. This service comes with a promise that they will have everything installed correctly the first time. Average Warranty and Contract

There is a warranty on both parts and service for as long as you are a SafeTouch customer. Those who are not completely satisfied with SafeTouch home security can return the alarm system within 30 days for a full refund. SafeTouch features a 36-month minimum contract requirement, which is average with other home security companies. Customers do have the option to pay a month-by-month contract after their contract ends, but unless they specify this as their preference, SafeTouch will role them into an additional two-year contract.

Undisclosed Alarm Package Information

All SafeTouch home security systems come with the promised 45-second response rate. They also include an emergency power source, lifetime warranty, local UL monitoring, crash detection, and the MySafeTouch App. SafeTouch uses cellular monitoring for their security systems. While the company does not disclose pricing on its site, the offer vague information on three alarm packages:

SafeTouch Secure – The company’s website says this package comes with “all the essentials”. While we don’t know what the mean, we can assume it comes with a control panel and sensors. At least one motion detector is included, along with window contacts.

SafeTouch Advantage – The control panel with this monitoring package has a 2-way voice feature. You can also include smart home features such as lighting, temperature, and crash detection.

SafeTouch Pro – This is the only monitoring service offered by SafeTouch that includes security cameras. Again, all the monitoring equipment is not outlined on SafeTouch Security‚Äôs website. Video can be streamed using the company’s mobile app and saved to cloud storage.

Limited Locations

SafeTouch Security only offers monitoring services in Florida and Georgia. For those who live outside these two states, we recommend reading about our top home security companies.

    I have never had a problem with Safetouch until I moved. I wanted to pass on the equipment to a relative since I was still paying for the system. They would not transfer the system after the customer service person told me that was possible. When the consultant went to the residence to see where the system could be applied the home owner was told that he had to pay $2000.00 for another system. I called Safetouch and bow they indicated they don’t transfer the system to another home unless it remains in my name. Switch & bait tactic. I won’t be using their services ever again.

    terrible company. I didn’t know about the auto 2 year review. rates went from 30.00 /mo. to 46.00. my 2 way communicator doesn’t work either. never did.

    At first this seems like a good plan, buy your system and have lower monthly payment. Well it’s a scam, once you pay for the systems (S1500.00) the monthly rate goes up to $49.00 a monthly, just like the other security company, therefore it’s best to buy from another company and pay monthly payments. The sales person lied to us. Don’t buy

    SafeTouch is terrific and Mike did a great job. He solved some minor issues we were having and did complete and thorough tests of our entire system. I did not feel he was rushing, but was careful, professional and friendly. Great job! Bravo SafeTouch!

    We cancelled services after our 5 year contract, which is obsurd! This was in august. Received a notice from a collection agency that’s stated we never returned their equipment and owe 600.00! Not only did they try to get an extra 50.00 from us when we cancelled, now they never mentioned equipment nor mailed any notices and sent it directly to collection! This company is unreal! STAY AWAY!

    Burglarized with Safe Touch. Lost everything. 1.8 million dollar lost. The largest jewelry store heist in North Florida and we were secured with safetouch. Beware. They only have a $250 liability also on their contract.

    RIP OFF! I had service for 6 years & always had CSR issues or getting them to answer my requests to do minor things. Then in March my chip panel went out, they blamed it on my house when my electrical works just fine all through out my house! $350 in repairs, I said No and still they charged me monthly service fee, Since March sent 2 letters to cancel as told every time I call, ironically they never receive the letters. They harass me w/phone call for payments on a service which I do not receive and I am years past my contract so they even said it is because I have not submitted a cancellation request. I tried to get a new panel with a Sales rep, they changed my appointment without going through me, they must think we are at their mercy and we do not have lives to live. WORST Customer Service. They will rip you off before, during and even after the Contract. Cancelling is the hardest thing ever.

    We had a 2 year contract. We wrote the cancellation Lester to them. We did not even use their system the last 3 months, but paid monthly. They state we have a balance of 44.60 and they will not cancel it unless we pay the balance thus they will continue charging or account until the balance is paid in full… we will never give them out business again!!!

    I have had their service since 2013. During install, I asked the gentleman if there was a contract length. He said no, after the first 36 months, it’s month-to-month. I was still in shock from someone breaking into my house the night before, so I just trusted the installer. Well, here we are in 2017 and I’m trying to cancel my service and they are telling me I have a 5 year contract?! Long story short, they are charging me $75 to cancel. Fine, I will pay that because it’s cheaper to pay $75 to cancel than to keep paying $32/month for the next 16 months.

    Also, they advertise this app that you can set your alarm from your cell phone. That worked for a little while until they changed the app they use but never told me about it. I didn’t even notice for a long time bc I rarely even set the alarm when I’m not home. Months later, no one in customer service could help me set up the new app so I eventually gave up. Just very poor customer service all around.

    I’ll give them two stars because they are relatively fast to respond for alarms and most are pleasant when responding. But the contract that came out of nowhere and the useless customer service make this place not worth the money. Stay away!

    I have been with Safe Touch approximately 2000. At that time they were pretty highly rated. For the first decade or so, I was satisfied with their equipment and their technical and customer service. Over the last few years, ALL aspects of the company have deteriorated considerably. Their equipment and service is so pathetic that I will cancel upon expiration of my contract. There is absolutely nothing positive or redeeming that I can say about Safe Touch.Recently, their tech spent asked to speak to their management to no avail! I have been involved in security as a retired Federal Agent and a principal of an International Security Consulting Corporation since the 1970’s and I am amazed that Safe Touch is still in business. The only reason that I rated it a “2” is that my other sensors are still functioning and I have but a few weeks left on my contract.

    THIS COMPANY IS TERRIBLE. when they came to install I told the installer TO NOT put a contact on the outside sunroom door – that the contact needed to go in the bedroom – well he didnt listen and i didnt notice – fast forward now i have never been able to use my system as it never worked i have called and called and told them system didnt work – they said was working. I finally figured out i cannot arm it because there is a contact on the outside sunroom door and we keep that door open for our cats. I called they want $125 to come out and work on the system. I told them to keep their $125 and i will be canceling when my stupid contract is up.

    When I signed up I was told it was for 3 years. The contract says 5 years. They fooled me. I paid for 2 cameras. They worked for the first year. I was told I would have to pay for a repair!! I hate this company!! Don’t use them!!!

    I am thoroughly satisfied with the equipment performance, and the technician, Hosnea, was very professional and courtesy in the performance of his duties, he paid attention to details, and was very precise with his explanations in regards to operating procedures. I regard his rating as a “10”.

    It’s OK. But just OK. I thought my contract was for 36 months, but now that I read the fine print…it’s 2 more years on top of that. I want out of my contract because my equipment they installed is glitching out on me and they think I have a medical emergency and I don’t. They will come out and fix it for me sure, but what if it happens again? Now that it has happened once I am PARANOID. What if I am not home and the cops come and break the door down and my dog gets out and lost or hurt? I don’t want it anymore and I cannot get out, but I feel like I have a very valid concern here.

    I purchased a home in which safetouch signs displayed as the monitoring company. Our original plan was to continue the services with Safetouch (doorbells, alarms, thermostats etc). The digital thermostat displayed 81 degrees so we called safetouch only to be told the previous owners were the only ones who could control the temperature or disconnect the account. Since we are in contact with the previous owner they let us know their new service started the same day. At safetouch the rep and manger Contrell refused to assist us and eventually went mute and hung up on me. If this is the type of service they offer I wouldn’t give them a penny!!

    I would not advise anyone to get safe touch for your security services. The terms and contract automatically renew your terms for another 2 years without them notifying you. When you try to cancel, they give you the run around.
