In many ways, SafeTouch offers security systems comparable to other companies in the industry: average contract length of 36-months and an average installation fee of $99. However, their undisclosed pricing and equipment information, along with negative reviews of the company’s customer service, puts them behind the curve when it comes to choosing the best home security system.

Professional Installation

Many people interested in home security want a service that offers installation of motion sensors, security cameras, a monitoring station, and other equipment purchased. SafeTouch promises quality installation by their licensed employees. This service comes with a promise that they will have everything installed correctly the first time. Average Warranty and Contract

There is a warranty on both parts and service for as long as you are a SafeTouch customer. Those who are not completely satisfied with SafeTouch home security can return the alarm system within 30 days for a full refund. SafeTouch features a 36-month minimum contract requirement, which is average with other home security companies. Customers do have the option to pay a month-by-month contract after their contract ends, but unless they specify this as their preference, SafeTouch will role them into an additional two-year contract.

Undisclosed Alarm Package Information

All SafeTouch home security systems come with the promised 45-second response rate. They also include an emergency power source, lifetime warranty, local UL monitoring, crash detection, and the MySafeTouch App. SafeTouch uses cellular monitoring for their security systems. While the company does not disclose pricing on its site, the offer vague information on three alarm packages:

SafeTouch Secure – The company’s website says this package comes with “all the essentials”. While we don’t know what the mean, we can assume it comes with a control panel and sensors. At least one motion detector is included, along with window contacts.

SafeTouch Advantage – The control panel with this monitoring package has a 2-way voice feature. You can also include smart home features such as lighting, temperature, and crash detection.

SafeTouch Pro – This is the only monitoring service offered by SafeTouch that includes security cameras. Again, all the monitoring equipment is not outlined on SafeTouch Security’s website. Video can be streamed using the company’s mobile app and saved to cloud storage.

Limited Locations

SafeTouch Security only offers monitoring services in Florida and Georgia. For those who live outside these two states, we recommend reading about our top home security companies.

    Dishonest salespeople. I was told by the salesman that I had a 2 year contract. I ultimately found out that in the fine print it was actually a 5 year contract. Read carefully before signing.

    This is one of the worst companies I have ever done business. Do not sign any contract with this company. They r very dishonest. I told them we were moving and the salesman said I could cancel contract at anytime. They turned us over to collections. Very unethical company.

    beware when your contract is up ! They apparently require a certified letter in which you don’t know until after you call and think you cancelled you get a now bill for $900 threatening calls ! After stating I have a LD in reading Comp was told I need to go to learn to read ( and no I’m NOT illiterate ) i was never told a certified letter was needed for almost three years I haven’t touched the system ! They will continue to bull you ! So NOT use this company ! They’ve caused many tears !!!!!

    Had a terrible experience with the sales person. I made an appt for 5:00, left work early to get home on time and the salesman showed up at 7:00. No scheduling issue with the office, he said it was “all on him” What a way to treat a potential client. Then he offers me 2 months free service and then pulls it back when signing the contract. He was so out of it, he didn’t complete the paperwork accurately and wanted to come back the next day. If this is the way this company represents itself, I am not interested.     I was satisfied until I cancelled my service and learned of Safetouch’s unethical business practice of automatically renewing your 36 month contract for another 2 years if you don’t notify them about canceling in writing 60 days before your 36 month contract expires. Why don’t they call a 5 year contract a 5 year contract. It’s too bad, because I was very satisfied with there service until now….I just got an offer I couldn’t refuse from another company. Now I’m seething and will complain about them to anyone and everyone! What schemers!

    The equipment is not dependable, the service is slow, the annoyance is beyond terrible. I paid up front for service. BAD IDEA. Safe Touch Monitoring is acceptable, but customer service is the worst. An problem alarm is going off as I write, again, with no response to a request for repair. Imaging living with this.

    Have had Safetouch in business and residence for 5 plus years . Had a problem with residence system in December 2014, and found out that I had been without service for over 2 months. When I requested service, I was informed that there would be a service charge to repair system .i had prepaid monitoring fee on yearly basis and wrote letter canceling service. I have replaced both systems but am having hard time making Safetouch understand that this was their failure to perform.

    Although the monitoring is decent this company has a lot to learn about customer service. I have inquired about replacing my key pad because it is not working properly and we have had false alarm issues. Buttons would stick when pushed and others you had to really press. They refused to replace and our alarm malfunctioned several times while no one was home leading to paying false alarm charges by the city. When trying cancel service after selling my home they said I needed to send them proof of new residency elsewhere to go through with the cancellation. Although I sent them a drivers license copy by email they picked that apart saying the issue date was outside of the 60 day window they require for proof of other residency plus they require $75 buyout of the contract. This is the gestapo of security companies and I refuse to recommend them to anyone else.

    Safetouch Security is horrible. Their service is sub par. Beginning in November 2012, I was a Safetouch Security customer until January 2015. During that time I had alarms go off several times. A few times due to my animals setting off the motion alarms and a few times due to their faulty equipment. They never responded to the address to repair the faulty equipment and when the alarm did go off their response time was horrendous. I once got home and waited at my address for thirty minutes before they contacted me about the alarm (neighbor had heard it) and I was driving from over thirty minutes away. Due to this service, I cancelled my service shortly after my original two year contract expired. Safetouch refused to cancel my service and attempted to continue billing me. When I stopped payment on the final month due to their refusal to cancel service they referred me to a collection agency. Mind you I paid every bill on time for over two years amounting to almost $1000 in payments and they referred me to collections for a claimed debt of $31.70. I would never do business with Safetouch their service is sub par and they have absolutely no sense of customer service. The only want your money.

    Signing up and paying up front was pretty easily done. Unfortunately, they chose to use some pre-existing sensors/batteries/keypads that were already in the house when I purchased it. So now, a year later, when some of the older equipment, that they chose to use to save some time and money, starts to have some issues, they want to charge $150 per visit to come out and rectify.

    This company wants u to pay even when u move. We told them we were trying to sell our house and they said no problem. We didn’t know they were going to harass us everyday. We moved and my husband has been critical I’ll. Do not under any circumstances get tied up with this company.

    At best, they have “fuzzy” business practices. The contract is so long and written in small type, that to sit and read the entire thing before signing would take most people at least 30 minutes (or more). And this usually doesn’t happen until AFTER the system is installed and you are already in trouble! Multiple complaints identical to mine–the two year automatic renewal. And “Free” doesn’t mean “free”!!! So the FREE month of monitoring means you’ll still pay $13.86 for that month. I will pay out my contract and then be done with them FOREVER. The only reason I gave them a 1 instead of 0 is because they have been pretty good at servicing the equipment. (But, we do have a lifetime warranty, so they really can’t get around it!)

    I signed up with this company years ago at which point I signed an agreement for a 2 year plan at the end of the plan unfortunately I did not realize that in their small print if you do not send them a letter to cancel the contract they automatically renew your plan at an increased rate I called to complain about that and they told me that I had to pay for another two more years or I was going to be build for the security system in total beware of this company they are the worst ever

    Safetoucjh installed my system Jan 15
    They failed to tell me my modem would be used for system to be installed They of course said they did Did not know anything about a 30 sec delay on alarm and 2 way system to work
    Somehow they knew sensors were not
    Installed on adjoining glass doors and they gained enterence through one door and due to 30 sec delay they pulled the line to my modem and system went down and placed my dog on a table where she could not get down I was gone about 2 hours when this happened All of this could have been stopped or slowed down if all sensors where installed When called on a a fri They told me. Someone would call me Monday if not call them Tuesday Thats what I call good service Who knows if I am not here they could do it again I want out of this

    I think wireless would be much better than a hard wire system They could not tell me if someone disconnected my system or answer any pertinant questions from what they said they are not. Set up for that I could not belive that this day and time

    Customer service is poor. Called to see if I could get a better deal but it was a take-it-or-leave-it conversation. Oh, and if you “leave” it, you’re on the hook to pay for all services until your contract end date. If you want to drop services then there are costs incurred too. I was expecting something better. I should have done my homework – shame on me! Think twice before signing their contract.

    Snake Touch, I meant Safe Touch!
    I signed for a 3 year service agreement years ago with Gary Merrell, and paid up front to say the 10%. Now they are billing me for service and after carefully re-reading what I signed, they are trying to hold me to a new agreement because they have had to fix the system that did not work up to the day I had to have it removed from the new Alarm company!
    Additionally they just raised their rates.. Be careful, you do not really get what they sell you. I did owe a $5.95 price increase that I did not agree to and over time it grew to over $100.00. and then guess what they stated to do! They additionally called and woke me up several times around 1am-3am to let me know the window was not working. I found out by reading other reviews on-line that this is a tactic that Safe Touch uses to collect on their invoices that are overdue. I also found out through my research that continue to pay reputation companies off to keep their name clean. I suggest you look at Yelp’s reviews because they do play into the pay offs. Beware of this company!

    Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I spent 3 months attempting to cancel my account with no one giving me the same answer twice, and I’m being held accountable for their mistakes. Being forced to pay a buyout from a 5 year contract when I’m moving to a state where they don’t offer services. I spent over an hour on hold today and then was yelled at by the close out manager for being upset. Please don’t ever use this company!

    Safe Touch Security is a terrible monitoring company, and very poor customer service, and please check out the horrible reviews all over the Internet about them. Do not sign or renew a contract with them, because if you move you are liable for the remainder of the contract and they will not let anyone assume your contract for your contract amount. I could go on an on, but not enough space or time to write all of my complaints about this terrible company. BEWARE!!!!!!!!!
