  • Nationwide availability: Vivint is available in all 50 states so customers all around the nation have access to its products and services.
  • Multiple equipment options and automation features: With Vivint’s base security package, customers receive a touchscreen control panel, a smoke detector, a door/window sensor, a motion detector, and a key fob. The key fob can be used to arm or disarm the system without having to enter the home. Additional equipment is also available, including recessed door sensors, glass break detectors, flood/freeze sensors, carbon monoxide detectors, tilt sensors, small appliance controls, doorbell cameras, smart thermostats, panic pendants, and more.
  • Lifetime warranty: Vivint offers a lifetime equipment warranty on all of its home security and home automation devices, which covers both defective parts and normal wear and tear. This warranty applies for as long as you are a paying Vivint customer.
  • Remote access via mobile app: Access the entire control panel with the Vivint Sky mobile app. It allows customers to arm and disarm their security system, view and record live video feeds from the doorbell camera, lock and unlock doors, control the temperature of their home, and more. Customers also receive instant alerts if door or garage door sensors are triggered.  The application even integrates voice control capabilities using Amazon Echo.
  • 60 month contract: Customers are required to agree to a 5 year contract, which is longer than the industry average. If a customer would like to end their contract with Vivint before the term is over, they are required to pay off the remaining contract balance in full.
  • Expensive rates: Monthly monitoring rates start at $39.99/month and go up from there. There are several competing home security companies that do not charge any upfront fees and have lower monthly rates.
  • Customer service complaints: Former and current Vivint customers have complained of deceptive sales tactics, poor customer service, poor billing practices and slow technician response.

    This system has NOT worked properly since we first purchased it. We have had to call customer service numerous times for them to try to fix the system and they have never fixed it. When it was first Installed they did NOT install all the components we paid for. Had to call back and reschedule for them to install ALL the equipment that we ordered. Customer service is completely useless they try to make the consumer repair the item over the phone without threatening to charge a service fee. The app NEVER works properly. I had a smoke detector go off a few days ago and because there was a glitch on the panel (which there is ALWAYS something wrong with it) the panel was not charging and disconnected the emergency responders call. He then had to call my husband at work WHO WAS NOT HOME to confirm the house was NOT burning down and he is NOT suppose to get calls at work yet miraculously he did answer during work. The thermostat NEVER works properly. Had a $200 electric bill thanks to Vivint not explaining the settings on the panel I called customer service and all they tried to do was pressure me into signing a 48 month contract to get an upgrade panel they wouldn't even offer a free service to our system to confirm over the next 30 day cancellation period that they require to ensure our system was working properly during that required 30 day cancelation period.Read More

    It seems Vivint has a great sales pitch and that is where their greatness ends. Not quite a year into having the system and my cameras rarely, if ever work. I have spent HOURS on the phone with customer service to fix the issues. Each time I have the system fixed, another camera goes down, or my personal favorite, none of them record or allow playback.     Nothing ever works. If one thing goes down you spend an hour at the minimum on the phone with customer service doing the same stuff the website tells you do for troubleshooting. If it’s not one thing it’s another and they will tell you if your panel is working then you can’t say your equipment isn’t working. Their sales pitch of no contract is a lie because when you sign for your equipment you’re actually signing a contract.

    In July/August of this year, we purchased 3 cameras, doorbell camera, interior camera, and outdoor camera. None of which has worked properly since day one. Numerous hours of customer service calls, on the phone and service appointments.
    Cameras were ridiculously expensive and do not work properly or detect visitors as advertised. I wish I had not continued to do business with them, and had gone with a different company.
    I will be calling customer service tomorrow *AGAIN for same issues, have had a tech here twice in the last 2 weeks, and atleast once or twice a month since first installment.
    I will continue to call for appointments until they get it right, I dont care if its every day at this point…
    We paid a chunk of money for security cameras that are useless, they are a joke.
    All technicians were very polite and did what they could, im sure, but the equipment they have to work with is crap apparently.

    Back in 2011, we got Vivint for home security. We asked all the necessary questions about cancellation policies, where to return equipment, etc. We had one camera near the sliding door in our living room that stopped working. Tried calling customer service, tech was supposed to come out, 3 days waiting, my husband (at the time) ended up figuring out how to fix it. About 3 months in of having the equipment, we had to move out of the house we were renting to a new apartment that didn’t allow us to bring Vivint over. Called customer service, spoke to a supervisor, explained the situation, gave them the information of the new community complex we’d be living in and they called me back a day later letting me know that they spoke to the property manager and verified that I couldn’t bring it with me. So it wasn’t a breach of contract so I wouldn’t be penalized for needing to end the service. They set up a date to send a tech out to collect the equipment. I was in the house for 30 days cleaning and getting everything out. Made 3 appts for a tech. They never came. The owners of the home came back, I told them the new date. Tech never came. During that time, I never got a bill. 7 YEARS passed. I recently inquired about student loan options. Guess who got a bill collectors notice asking for over $2000 in payment? I’m addressing this with a lawyer at the current moment.

    The security system itself has worked well, and when we got it it was similarly priced to other companies. Now however, with other new companies we can find the same service for half the cost per month. Even though I have been a customer since 2013, I am still in a contract with them. Full disclosure, I did extend it, but that is because the salesperson I spoke with led me to believe the rates were going to increase, they did not thankfully. My advice is to be very wary of long contracts with them, they go to great lengths to keep you in an extended contract, so be certain you really want to stay with Vivint for the length of the contract.

    Unfortunately, Vivint is not interested in customer solutions. The installation that was performed on our exterior camera was substandard to say the least. The camera was installed in an obviously wet environment. When I removed it from its location, it was completely full of water. Furthermore, the housing was not waterproof – the ethernet cable was exposed to the elements and submerged in ice and snow. It is no wonder that after a few months, the unit stopped working.

    After 90 minutes on the line with a Customer Solutions representative, I was transferred to a supervisor. The supervisor with whom I spoke was not interested in standing behind the workmanship (or lack thereof) of the original installation – instead, she chose to use a 90-day warranty to shield Vivint from any responsibility. Vivint’s decision to not help remedy the situation may be legally defensible, but it is absurd from a customer satisfaction point of view. Vivint chose to infuriate a paying customer rather than send out a replacement camera that costs them next to nothing.

    At this point, I have requested a call from someone who has the authority to rectify this situation. Absent that, we will be canceling our service and making a request for a full refund.

    Literally the worst company ever! I would not recvomend this “business” to anyone. Hidden fees, shady contracts, and terrible installation process!
    So I have to keep them cause I have a contract with them! Stupid me. I have had two break ins with Vivint! The police were called and one person was actually caught sleeping in my home while I was away and the cops hauled him away! Vivint literally did nothing, no recording, absolutely nothing! My stick-um security system lost its stickiness thus the euiptment didn’t work! Wth?! That’s actually a thing!
    This last contract I was supposed to get out of my old by simply paying $800 but it entered me into a whole new 60 month contract. They broke my door, they broke my doorbell, they are just aweful! I hate Vivint!

    When I first received the product it worked for a little bit. Over the past year or so I’ve paid $66 monthly for a product that rarely works. (I.e. the doorbell camera is constantly offline, the keypad on the door won’t allow me to reset my pin to the door, the app rarely allows me to lock the door from my phone.) Very frustrating

    I might be a little different review than most on this, but I have a unique experience that I would like to share. My husband died and the account along with the loan for the equipment was in his name alone. Because of this, I needed to track down payments and I wanted to keep the system. Anyway, I made a phone call to pay the monthly payment in October. When I told them of my situation, I got a few calls and email correspondences stating that they were sorry about his passing and they would like to arrange some things in order to keep the system. I just got off the phone with a representative who not only said that the system loan was forgiven and I would not longer need to pay that fee, they also gave me a $10 per month discount to keep the system working. I will let everyone know how great Vivint is for customer service and keeping this customer happy.

    I have never had an issue with the equipment not working. When I have had false alarms, the main control panel has a live person who is friendly and helpful. Great service and great system.

    A Vivint salesperson came to our house in Corpus Christi, he LIED and said they would buy us out of our ADT contract ,and told us we would only have to pay $22 dollars a month for monitoring and a system, we agreed and an hour later a technician came out, took down our ADT system and put a Vivint touchpad up and said he would return the following day to finish. I called Vivint to verify this while being within 3 day cancellation period, and no they don’t buy out your contract with ADT and I would have to pay $70 a month for FIVE years.(currently pay $35 per month with ADT)I cancelled it, Vivint person came out and removed the system and informed me they could not put ADT touchpad back in. It will cost me $93 per half hour for ADT to reinstall the system. My advice:NEVER answer the door for these vultures and liars from Vivint , swiftly ask them to get off your property.

    Vivint probabaly has the worst the customer service. For about 5 or six months I have been fighting Vivint to cancel my account. For about 3 months they continued to charge me even after I canceled so I thought. I have spoken to many reps and a supervisor. They just lie to you and nothing gets done. I have not received a refund because they have not finalized my cancelation. It’s been 5 months… they just now put my account thru the cancelation part and god knows if I’ll ever see that refund. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

    Did not dot disclose I was signing up for a 42 month contract. When I try to cancel because the doorbell camera kept malfunctioning I was told I had to wait for term of contract to end. That’s how I found that signing for the equipment installation was actually signing into a 42 month contract. Customer service is a joke. Better service at my local Burger King.

    pp was scheduled 10/26/18 to install when app was made I told the rep the house has been pre wired he said no problem I will let the tech know.The tech was unaware and said he needs approval to use a box hours later he left we got a call from another rep stating he would be out Monday we explained the entire situation and the supervisor was to assist him during this appointment she did not come with the tech and he told us there is no way to use the prewire the company does not do that and we would need to purchase 5 new sensors pay and a new motion detector. I told him hold on this was not told why didnt the tech take the old motion detector out from the old home. He said sorry but you would need to pay over $200 I was upset because the prewire had sensors already. So we paid it had to get this taken care of. Two days pass and the first tech calls us says he is ready to install using the prewire he has the box and approval, at this point I am furious. You mean to tell me the tech made us buy these new things when we could have used the prewire in our home. He said I am sorry I will get my supervisor to call you, well no call no text no email. I called back spoke to Chade she said she would assist and doesn’t understand why we needed to purchase more equipment.Her manager was helping another client so she said I will call you back I said I can wait she said it would be a while so I agreed ok well no call back. Yesterday I seen Vivint had withdrew another payment of $214 I call and said wait a minute what is going on I never authorized this payment I was not informed I do not even know why this is being charged he said to me well mam you did not pay the install fee and your first bill is due mind you we had to wait until 10/29 to get it installed and made a $50 payment on 10/26 so 3 days no service of which we paid I told the rep I am sorry this is a mistake he said no I dont know who told you this I told him the tech did he was right here in my face in my home and gave us our billing info and the first issue hasn’t even been resolved. We also had to pay for the install fee when vivint had came to remove the system they explained there would be no additional fees. This company is trying to scam us this huge company and not one supervisor can call us back. I can not ever speak to the same person I tried to email Chade back no response this is horrible service.

    I was promised 6 months free service I was never given a contract to me properly when I called I was promised a refund which they canceled and didn’t tell me they’re probably does not work the way intended it does not seem to be up to date or work as well as it should consider what you’re paying for it other than the pushy salesman that twisted my arm into getting it nothing has been working properly since and the customer service is absolutely atrocious I would not recommend anyone to get this Vivint is absolutely horrible

    When vivint employees failed to install equipment properly and our basement flooded we were unaware until extensive damage had been done. Had we been alerted to the flood (from the flood sensor we were paying monthly for) we would not have lost $10,000 of personal property. When I inquired about having this partly covered (as mentioned in our contract with vivint, $1500 coverage for damaged property) I was not only ignored for several weeks but brushed off immediately and told that this was OUR FAULT for having old updates on our equipment .. even after it had been confirmed that the equipment was never actually hooked up to the system. 1) we were NEVER informed that updates needed to be installed. Had we known this we would have checked periodically and done it. 2) any company that turns customer complaints against the customer does not have the customers best interest at heart. 3) Paying $80 a month for zero protection and even less customer service is not my idea of feelings protected.

    Had installed in business approximately 5 years ago. Cameras were terrible, faulty alarm system, etc. We actually disconnected and paid monthly bill for years, because every time we tried to cancel or get service corrected could talk to no one. Just kept transferring us to someone else who “that wasn’t their department, let me transfer you to someone who can help”. After at least 4 years I stopped auto pay with my bank. They told us because we never notified them we owed over $300.00. We paid it just to be done and followed instructions given to end contract including e-mail stating why we were ending relations. Now 1 month later they have sent us to collections. I am filing a complaint with Better Business Bureau! We have an acquaintance that went thru same experience!!!!!

    This system is horrible and the consumer should not have to play repair tech over the phone. I refuse to and think there should be a class action lawsuit placed against vivint for selling a defective product. My smoke alarm goes off randomly for no reason at all and I have had the fire department out once. The camera stopped working over the garage and they had me on the phone for an hour and a half trying to troubleshoot and repair their system. I DO NOT WORK FOR VIVINT! Therefore, it is not my responsibility to repair your system I had installed in September that hasn’t worked since installation. The wifi quit connecting and they had to fix that. Then the camera, which is deleted now, and they have to fix that. And the fire detector that goes off at random times that they refuse to fix. Oh yeah and the main touch oad had to be replaced already also. The only thing that seems to work is the doorbell camera and the door and glass break sensors.

    The quality of Vivint was horrible, used my internet service which I wasn’t told able. Cameras and doorbell dropped service at least once a month. And remember this is a security system that is too protect my family and property!!! When I called to have someone fix it, it takes hours to fix and is at late hours of the night.

    Honestly – who does a contract nowadays? Especially when you own the equipment outright? Their cancellation policies are terrible/nonexistent.

    Not to mention, you’re paying over double what you would pay simplisafe while receiving the same service with old technology. My burglar alarm went off three times over 6 months in the middle of the night for glass break sensors that were too sensitive. Certainly not worth the price and even less worth the hassle.

    I made the abhorrent mistake of answering my door in July 2017 from a Vivint Sales Rep. They offered a few incentives to get me away from a competitor. They had some interns that were in school in Utah come to the DC area for a few weeks and they installed my system. Within 15 minutes of them leaving, my system malfunctioned. From that moment on, it was a complete nightmare. Over the past year, I’ve called their support teams over 30 times. My biggest gripe is their cameras as they consistently malfunctioned. A service technician come to my house four times within a year to fix issues. Each time they came out, the fix was temporary. In regards to speaking to customer service, there is none. I’ve had reps hang up on me when I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor. I became so fed up with having an unreliable alarm system and going back and forth with Vivint over issues that they simply did not want to resolve, that I obtained an attorney. Once my attorney reached out to them, they started listening and they cancelled my contract. Please do not sign any contract with Vivint. You’d be doing yourself a disservice. Luckily my nightmare is over. Don’t be wooed over any incentives they provide. It’s only to lock you into a five year contract. And trust me, their customer service reps will gladly let you know that you’d have to pay several thousands of dollars to end your contract. DO NOT DO IT. RUN FROM VIVINT.

    First of all sales rep did not mention that i was now in a contract found out only when i went to cancel service. So we waited until our contract was up then tried to cancel. For 3 months they continuously took money out of our account even though i called every month to tell them i had cancelled. I now have called again because our refund did not go back in our account instead they credited our account!!!!! Wow horrible company!

    Crap. Customer service is horrible and they are rude. They basically refused to let me out of the contract even though they don’t even service the equipment. They won’t send anyone to fix it. They don’t return calls or texts. Our fire alarm went off for about 15 minutes and they didn’t even call to verify. We would have been in serious trouble had the alarm been a valid situation. Find another provider or buy your own system and install it yourself.

    Had system for 2 months. Back door camera already out. Have contacted Vivint via chat and 2 phone calls. They will set appointment. Maybe up to 2 week wait, if then. Repairman coming to neighbor tomorrow but unable to help me. Not their procedure. Would like to get rid of system but am tied into contract. Do some research on this company before investing is my advice.

    DO NOT PURCHASE THIS SYSTEM! My nest has not worked since I purchased in back in September 2017. When the heat works, the air does not. When the air works, the heat does not. I have spent just over $500.00 trying to get this repaired. It has been stressful. I regret this purchase. I will never recommend this to ANYONE!

    My vivint system has not been working for the last year. The batteries were replaced twice and they die within 2 days. Service techs are incompetent. I have not had a working system and then when I tried to cancel i was told that I couldn’t and that I have to give at lease annual notice or else I would be charged for time remaining on contract.

    We are very disappointed in service and equipment. The sales person signed us up and twelve midnight putting system in. We have a long contract and have not had a ringing doorbell during the contract time. Replace it one time only rang on cell phone not in house. It fell off and they was us to pay $49.00 to have some one put it back on. Other people in neighborhood have same problem. Alarm ring and the people you select as backup for alarm get a call unlisted from Utah and don’t answer. Be careful what you buy!

    To say I’m disappointed with the Vivint service would be an understatement. I originally purchased the system to help monitor packages that were being delivered to my house and prevent theft with their doorbell camera. After about a year of having the service, I had a package stolen from my porch directly where the camera was pointed. To my surprise, the motion activated camera did not record any of this. My wife happened to be pulling in when the thieves got back in their car. She was able to block them in from pulling out of our driveway, but they drove through our neighbor’s yard and got away. I also had a Vivint motion camera on the side of our house pointed directly at where they pulled out from… But somehow the motion of a full-size sedan driving directly in front of it was not enough to activate the motion detecting camera. The police were notified, but the thieves got away with my package. After this happened I called Vivint to cancel my service, because the only thing I bought it for failed when I needed it. I was told by Vivint that I could not cancel my service because I signed a contract that had not yet expired. My two options were to pay out the remainder of the contract, which would cost $1500+ or just continue to pay for the service that did not work until the contract was up. It’s sad to say that at the end of the day after having people literally steal something off my porch, the security company I pay monthly payments to, are the biggest criminals involved. I also tried to cancel my service when I moved, because not only do I not want it in my new house, but I’d like to not pay for a security system on a house I no longer own. This, unfortunately, is also something Vivint does not care about. Same rules still apply, either pay out your contract in full or keep paying until your contract is up. It’s without a doubt the worst customer service I have ever received, and I would never recommend it to anyone.

    Unreliable products and system. Our system goes down more often than once a week. We live in a large metro area and have reliable internet service. Customer service is poor. They need to work on back office technology that allows their staff with the right credentials and customer approval to make changes using the control panel. The interaction I had with the staff today was unproductive and bordered on being illogical with their responses.

    I have had vivint for over two years now and it is not all it’s cranked up to be. First and foremost the young man that installed my equipment did it so fast I din’t feel as though he did a good job. I have been having problems with it from day one, from the door bell cameras to the sensors. When you have to have a technician to come out no matter what it is you have to pay a fee of 49.00 and that’s a bit much. and now when you are late with your bill they want to charge you a 10.00 late fee not to mention your name is mentioned with the credit bureau. I don’t mind a late fee but 10.00 is a bit much. The only good thing I can say about vivint is the customer service department is awesome.

    the Worst service EVER they do not provide good service at all neither installing the sensors nor when you call to report the failures. Sensors don’t communicate with panel and they don’t fix any of the problems. When we called to cancel the service are the representative treated us like kids he would not let us talk and he would prefer to put us on hold instead of giving us a solution to the problem. Basically they don’t let you cancel service. When we signed the contract they were supposed to give 30 days to cancel and when we called to cancel they told us the 3 business day cancellation period was over.

    I got tricked into signing a 5year agreement, the sales rep was nice and looked trustworthy and said I could always cancel for a 10 dollar per month fee and re assured me I was signing a 2 year commitment, I took his word and didn’t read the fine print and now I’m stuck with 3 1/2 years remaining on my contract with my other opinion being pay the full amount up front to cancel, They want me to pay the 3 1/2 years I have remaining at full amount to be able to cancel wtf really! Horrible customer service as well.. go to Home Depot or any other store and purchase the cameras yourself and save a ton of money their a bunch of crooks.

    I have issues with my door bell camera. I have tried everything to fix it according to their website and what customer service reps have told me to do. The camera was still not fixed. I asked for a tech to be sent to my house to resolve the problem and they want to charge a service fee even though everything is covered under warranty. The customer service rep had the audacity to tell me that because it was “my product” it was my responsibility to try and fix it myself. On top of that, a rep would not be available right away. Funny how sales reps will show up on your doorstep whenever they want and will wait for you to come home until they sucker you into buying their product but cant get a tech rep to your home right away? I would stay clear from this service as they will charge you fees even though the product is covered under warranty. And their customer service is just terrible.

    I paid $1058 up front for the door bell camera..one back yard camera..panel and door lock…tech couldn’t get my lock off to install door lock…back camera and door bell have failed to record clips almost daily…of course after the three day recision period…I have called and called them..the last rep told me to “wait a few days and see what happens”. I called their retention department and the first rep told me that I could get my money back within thirty days…called the next day to set it up for return and was told no my three days is up…it is 5:38 a.m eastern time..I just got home from trip and my cameras haven’t recorded anything since yesterday at 10:02 a.m….the mail lady wasn’t recorded for was my Amazon delivery etc. I don’t want to this junk any suggestions on getting my money back?

    Your time. I spent thousands of dollars on their technology – it is GARBAGE. Do not fall for their sales pitches. They lie to your face. ALL of my equipment has failed and I can’t get someone out at a convenient time to me. I have to take time off of work. When I did get an appointment the guy turned up on the wrong day and I even have to pay to have a service man come to fix their broken stuff. WORST DECISION I EVER MADE. Go with ADT. At least their honest

    I had Vivint Services for years and moved a couple streets down. They would not come down themselves and move the security system and cameras out of my new house and into my new home which was literally 2 blocks down without charging a ridiculous fee. They don’t seem to appreciate loyal customers at all. Our payments were automatically drafted monthly so no late payments. Besides that their customer service is HORRIBLE!! Read that contract you sign very careful its years that you will end up with them if you don’t. Very long!!! We ended up paying $700 just to get out of that contract. So worth it. Not to deal with them again. So unprofessional may I add. There are a lot of more companies out there. Do your research. It will be worth it. I wish I had done so before signing that horrible contract.

    moved homes and they said they would install same system in new home at no charge, failed to tell me they also add an additional three years to your contract. now i have sold that home and still have to pay for a system that i don’t even have and refuse to move the system and get locked into another 3 years with these crooks

    I had Vivint for 4 years. They charged 78.99 per month. They raised it to 82.99 per month at the end of my contract. The only way to cancel, per my contract, was in writing to them. They disabled the email address on the contract, so I had to send it USPS. I got multiple calls offering me more contracts to stay for less per month. I refused repeatedly. They didn’t stop calling until I told them I had already purchased another alarm (from Abode). The day after my 30 days notice, they charged by credit card $ 82.49 and their computer shows they never cancelled my account. They are planning to charge me next month too. I called tonight and a very nice lady explained that I would have to call back and talk to the cancellation specialists when they are in. The charge was unauthorized and, for a company that I’m no longer doing business with, this has been super annoying. I will never do business with Vivint again.

    I cancelled Vivint on 8/15/18. Per their policy They would not accept the cancellation over the telephone, but only accept the cancellation by an email at [email protected] to include my name , account number and stating I was discontinuing service and pay their $276.00 early buy out. I immediately fired off that email after telling them to send me a bill for the buy out amount and not to debit my account.

    On 8/16/18 I am debited $75, i wrote this off as bad timing. Somewhere between 1-2 weeks later, a Vivint employee shows up at my door wanting to know why the system was off line. I told him that I had cancelled the account and went with a more affordable company that offered all of the same home automation and for a much shorter contract.

    9/18/18 rolls around and Vivint again debits my account for $350.65. I immediately called in asking why they stole money from my account. Their response was that they never received the email I sent in on 8/15/18. I told them I wanted a refund for the amount they debited and that I had previously told them to send me a paper bill and not to debit my account. I demanded a refund and for them to send me a paper bill and that I would immediately pay my buyout amount only. I then resent the email cancelling service.

    On 9/26/18 they finally refunded my $350.65 electronically. On 10/5/18 I finally received the paper bill I requested back in August. I wrote out the check and mailed it the next day paying the buyout amount only. On 10/9/18 Vivint cashed that check and I assumed my nightmare was over.

    I was wrong, on 10/16/18 I received an email saying that I was behind on a bill. On 10/18/18 I called the provided phone number and was passed around until I ended up with customer loyalty (no idea why they call it this, because they don’t have any). After a long back and forth with the Vivint employee, he advised that he would only refund me the amount I was going to be charged for October, but I was still responsible for the September bill. I explained to him that I cancelled in August and was willing to write that off, but I was not going to pay them anything else. We will see what they do next.

    In short, I will go through my neighborhood looking for Vivint signs and tell them about the better deal I got through another company. I will also tell them to take meticulous notes documenting their conversations with Vivint and the employees name. Otherwise, they will keep trying to take money from you for a service they had not provided.

    We tried to cancel the service and had to speak to four different emoployees, each one tried to sell us more stuff. In addition, we tried the email the company to cancel and all emails bounced back. We had two different email addresses, but neither worked. Finally we sent a letter, but not certain it won’ t come back too.

    This system has NOT worked properly since we first purchased it. We have had to call customer service numerous times for them to try to fix the system and they have never fixed it. When it was first Installed they did NOT install all the components we paid for. Had to call back and reschedule for them to install ALL the equipment that we ordered. Customer service is completely useless they try to make the consumer repair the item over the phone without threatening to charge a service fee. The app NEVER works properly. I had a smoke detector go off a few days ago and because there was a glitch on the panel (which there is ALWAYS something wrong with it) the panel was not charging and disconnected the emergency responders call. He then had to call my husband at work WHO WAS NOT HOME to confirm the house was NOT burning down and he is NOT suppose to get calls at work yet miraculously he did answer during work. The thermostat NEVER works properly. Had a $200 electric bill thanks to Vivint not explaining the settings on the panel I called customer service and all they tried to do was pressure me into signing a 48 month contract to get an upgrade panel they wouldn’t even offer a free service to our system to confirm over the next 30 day cancellation period that they require to ensure our system was working properly during that required 30 day cancelation period.
