  • High monthly monitoring fees: Monitoring plans with Vivint start at $39.99 per month and go up based on a variety of additional package options. This is a bit higher than other leading industry providers. Specifically, their lowest plan is priced considerably higher than other industry leading providers and their respective lower plans.
  • A long, 60-month contract: Vivint provides the installation and equipment free of charge, but with one major caveat. You’re basically signing a 5-year (60-month) home security contract. And these contracts aren’t too forgiving. Customers are expected to pay the remaining balance of their contract in the event that they try to cancel early.
  • Solid home automation features: One of the ways Vivint is trying to separate from competition is by positioning themselves as more of a ‘home automation’ solution. Their mobile app allows you to control your home security system remotely. They also have a suite of additional home automation products and features such as temperature control, auto door locking, doorbell cameras and more.
  • Customer service complaints: Former and current Vivint customers have complained of deceptive sales tactics, poor customer service, poor billing practices and slow technician response times. We have received over 1,500 negative reviews here on this website regarding Vivint from real customers.
  • Our recommendation: With a 5-year contract and high monthly monitoring rates, the economics just don’t make sense for most home security seekers. We recommend much more affordable options that don’t tie you down with long contracts, and have a deeper history of high-level customer service. Frontpoint Security and Protect America are two options you should consider if you are interested in Vivint.

This system has NOT worked properly since we first purchased it. We have had to call customer service numerous times for them to try to fix the system and they have never fixed it. When it was first Installed they did NOT install all the components we paid for. Had to call back and reschedule for them to install ALL the equipment that we ordered. Customer service is completely useless they try to make the consumer repair the item over the phone without threatening to charge a service fee. The app NEVER works properly. I had a smoke detector go off a few days ago and because there was a glitch on the panel (which there is ALWAYS something wrong with it) the panel was not charging and disconnected the emergency responders call. He then had to call my husband at work WHO WAS NOT HOME to confirm the house was NOT burning down and he is NOT suppose to get calls at work yet miraculously he did answer during work. The thermostat NEVER works properly. Had a $200 electric bill thanks to Vivint not explaining the settings on the panel I called customer service and all they tried to do was pressure me into signing a 48 month contract to get an upgrade panel they wouldn't even offer a free service to our system to confirm over the next 30 day cancellation period that they require to ensure our system was working properly during that required 30 day cancelation period.Read More

It seems Vivint has a great sales pitch and that is where their greatness ends. Not quite a year into having the system and my cameras rarely, if ever work. I have spent HOURS on the phone with customer service to fix the issues. Each time I have the system fixed, another camera goes down, or my personal favorite, none of them record or allow playback. DO NOT purchase this system, it is not reliable.Read More

No question we were mislead and out right deceived by their sales claims and promises! It took us only a few months to have buyers remorse when the equipment quit failing and my professional I.T. husband spent hours with Vivint trying to fix the problems on the phone to no avail. Having to pay most every time they come out…after waiting 2-3 WEEKS for help…is ridiculous! Wish I had never heard of Vivint! LIVE AND LEARN!! $69.99 a month for 5 years is bondage and a RIP OFF!

This company screwed us over when we moved. We were informed we would be able to install new equipment into our new home and finish out our contract. Not the case. They kept trying to extend our contract and we did not want that. Now we are stuck paying monthly payments on a service we are not receiving because they refuse to put new equipment in our new house without extending our contract. This is wrong!!

We have talked to 3 customer service agents, and none of them can tell us the same thing. I don’t know if its lack of knowledge, but either way our problem is not getting solved, they just want to argue and blame us. We will be filing a complaint, because I am not going to pay for something I am not getting! Oh, and did I mention one of the customer service reps told us “we weren’t technically under contract.” How does that work?

Wishing I had read all if these reviews before I signed up. Life would be easier if they would just make it right.

This company is a predatory contract collector. Period. The home security part is just a front for their contract operation.

You will never get out of their contract for any reason! Don’t fall for the lies the sales people tell you like I did. I was told that if we had to relocated due to a job change that we could cancel. That’s not true. At least it’s not true that they will cut you loose from the payments.

The best way to describe their contract is with an analogy. Imagine I come to your door and offer to mow your grass for $50 per month for 60 months. Total of $3,000. 3 years into our arrangement you get relocated to a NYC apartment (with no grass). Then I come after you for $1,200 (what you would’ve paid me over the next 2 years). So even though I can’t mow your grass for 2 years, I expect you to pay me as if I were mowing your grass.

Sound fair? That’s exactly what you’ll encounter with vivint. They will not let you out of the payments under any circumstances. Your only option is to let it go to collections and take the hit on your credit.

I was at least smart enough to refuse agreeing to automatic monthly payments. Whatever you do, never give them authorization to automatically charge your card! You’ll never be able to get them off of you. You’ll have to close the bank account to get them to stop charging you.

The bottom line is, they are a ruthless, greedy, money driven bunch of scammers who only want to trap as many people in contracts as they can. Sound like a company you want to do business with?

Don’t waste your money on Vivint. Sub par equipment that continuously goes off line and then won’t reboot. Even when calling in for assistance they are not able to resolve the issues over the phone. You have to have a service technician come out – I think this is so that they can charge the $49 service call. What a scam. When I took the control panel off the wall I could not believe the damage done to the wall by the installer. I should be sending Vivint a bill for the repairs

Google “vivint home security attorney general” and look at all the state attorneys general who have successfully filed suit and settled with vivint. Why do you think that is?

You cannot cancel the service! Regardless of what they tell you, or what you hear, they will not let you get out of your contract. Even if you have to move to a rental property where they can’t provide the service.

Vivin’t isn’t a security system company. They are in business to get people into contracts. All they care about is collecting the total amount of the entire contract regardless of anything that happens to you.

    Rude, unprofessional company.

The system itself has been mediocre, multiple technical issues. Not a smooth experience that one would hope for, constantly dealing with something with the system. After getting it fixed the most recent time, I was hit with an $80 phone bill . I turns out that a google search for Toll Free Vivint number comes up with (801) 377-9111, this number is not toll free from Canada, I was not warned while talking on the phone that this would be a charged call. The incredibly slow system plus the troubleshooting process led to an hour phone call which has cost me over $80!!!

We have been trying to get our system to work for the entire year that we’ve owned it. We’ve had numerous reps out to our home to “fix” the problem. It main reason my husband wanted the service was for the doorbell camera and the door locks. Now we can’t get out of this contract and have to pay for service and equipment that work intermittently at best!

This company has proven to be unscrupulous. When I tried to cancel the service they told me that my daughter had extended the contract. I did not give her permission and now they are trying to collect money via collections agency.
They will do anything possible to keep you in their contact. I am going to file a complaint with the federal trade commission as soon as the shutdown is over.

I have a negative experience with this company. At the same time it can also be called ridiculous and incongruous.
I cannot get my refund 1 month despite number of verbal and writing promises made by number of Vivint associates.
I first planned to install their system last December. The installation was scheduled to January 4, 2019 and deposit of $45 plus change was paid via my credit card in mid-December last year.
Due to some circumstances including negative reviews about Vivint found in the Internet, I decided to cancel the installation December 20, 2018 via both email and phone. I also asked for refund. The cancellation and intention to refund were confirmed during the phone conversation on December 21, 2018.
January 3, 2019 Vivint suddenly informed me that the installation still appeared to be scheduled for the next day. I called Vivint again and spoke to particular person and she also sent me email-confirmation dated January 3rd, 2019, saying “Your refund will be there in about 3 to 5 business days if it isn’t there within the 5th business day then go ahead and give us a call at 385-219-3145 and we will see what we can do.” Obviously, no one even tried to send me refund since December 21, when the intention to refund was declared. I‘d like to know why they did not, but, probably, I will never get an answer to this question.
Today is January the 20th and still no refund received. When I called their customer service again the rep said that they sent me the cheque and it will take up to 20 days to receive it. I asked the rep why the refund cannot be done using credit card and why it takes so long. She could not answer by herself and put me on hold while getting the information from another department. After she was back the answers were the following: they do not have my credit card number – only last digits, 20 days because the cheque is sent from Utah office. Who knows how the payment processing system works probably would laugh, while I’m wondering if that person said she can see only last digits really thinks that what she can see on display and data stored in the system are the same. Who knows where Utah is probably would laugh too – as I remember it is still in North America but not in Antarktida. To deliver standard mail from US to Canada takes 4-7 days (I double checked). Probably even post pigeon would be arriving faster than 20 days.
They took my money much faster they give it back. Why the person I spoke with on January 3rd misinformed me about the refund terms? By the way, I wrote he again and she responded me today with “Looks like the refund was process on our end on the 3rd of January. I would contact your Bank to see why it has not been deposited in to your account.” After I asked to verify details of how it was sent she responded “We sent it over to your Bank on the 3rd of January. They can hold it for an addition 7 to 10 business days before depositing it into your account.” Mentioning deposit to the bank means every department in this company has its own point of view how refund process should look like besides the only obvious one that is stored in the system under ‘payment method’ since the moment my payment was received. Usually the refund is made the same way the payment was received, so credit card payment should be refunded back to the same credit card – it’s also faster.
I think for business that works in the security domain it should be more organized more responsible and accurate in terms of customer service and connection between departments. Being disappointed with how the case was handled I’m very glad for being saved from becoming their customer.

After just spending almost 2 hours on chat with customer service trying to fix 2 of my 3 cameras that are not working yet again, i decided to let people know. I just found out i got service on august of 2017, so 17 months ago and ive called with service issues, 24 times according to rep that was helping. 24 times and the multiple times i dont call and fix issues myself.
Then they send a technician and want to charge 49 per visit. I hate the company so much but im stuck with the equipment contract until 2021. Be aware

We upgraded to a new control panel and reupped another 5 years 11 days ago… the last 3 days our system has had errors stating that its not connected to system monitoring, it’s not connected to vivint, its not connected to cloud services. We’ve called twice and neither of the operators even knew how to solve the issue and were reading from a manual that has yet to solve the issue. If I had known that reupping and getting the new panel would have been such a problem, I would’ve dropped the service right then and there.

Had faith and tried to work them out and every time they need to come out to fix a faulty device they have to charge you. It’s a big scam, no service, no customer care, and not worth it, Honestly I am switching this week. I found out a provider that will cost me half what I am paying these buggers

The last two weeks since I have had Vivint installed in my home has been a complete NIGHTMARE! This has been the worst experience I have ever had with a company not to mention the horrible customer service. I was wrongfully charged $355.00! When I called in to get clarification and assistance on these charges I encountered the worst customer service. The first representative could not explain the charges to me so he transferred me to an account manager in the loyalty department by the name of Heidi. Heidi was extremely rude, was not willing to solve my issue. Once I asked for her name and asked to be transferred to her manager she HUNG UP IN MY FACE! Not only was I appalled that a manager would hang up on me, I was more appalled that no one was willing to assist me with my issue. I had to call back and wait another ten minutes to get to another representative. Anyhow, the new representative informed me that I was incorrectly charged for the equipment and some one would need to get me a refund. I called back days later to get the status of the refund for my $355 and a different representative informed me that I was under charged for equipment, which I knew was incorrect as I made a copy of my receipt. They then tried to force me to sign new documents to pay for equipment that I had already financed, which I would not sign. Meanwhile, I am still out of my $355 that was wrongfully taken from me! I am furious. Every time I call I get a different representative, and two weeks later this issue has still not be resolved! I would not recommend anyone get this service!

Vivint just wants your business. They want you on contract. The product as a whole never worked properly. I paid for equipment up front. The system never synced up with the monitoring station in Utah. The technician told us the piece the added to our old monitoring system to “take over” all sensors in the house was inadequate and keeps burning up.
I asked for a refund or for them to install the proper sensors for free, they offered me a three year contract with 8 months free and a monthly fee of 39.99.
Why offer me that if it never worked properly in the first place ? All vivint wants is your business not to provide quality service. Vivint SUX !!!

HORRIBLE product, worked decent for the first 6 months in our 5 year contract. Vivint originally blamed our internet speed, so of course we upgraded to 100mbps. Now, at least 1 of the 4 cameras are down each week. Required to spend 1.5 hours “troubleshooting” over the phone in order to end up with the same “broken” hardware, finally they send a technician out. Schedule between 4pm and 8 pm… Technician arrives at 3:55pm… Rings the doorbell that doesn’t work, leaves and says we missed the appointment. SAVE your money!!! Worst contract we have ever signed. I wish we were done, cannot wait to cancel service.

System hasn’t worked properly since install and now I’m stuck with this horrible company for 4 more years. As others have stated, this company is horrible and deceptive. When they first sold me the system I had a contract with ADT and they said that they’d buy out that contract if I signed up. So I did – and then the “trial” period expired. I called the sales rep and they said that they in fact would not pay the early termination fees (after telling me they would) for my old system and that I was in fact now on the hook for both systems since the trial period had expired. I then had to fork over additional money to cancel ADT (which worked fine, but was expensive for what it was)

So I lived with this system for a while and it worked OK but was not without issues.

I then moved and had to cancel. As others have mentioned, cancelling this service is next to impossible and takes an act of congress. First you have to send them a written letter ‘confirming’ your wish to cancel. Next comes an expensive buyout – over $1k in my case. Lastly – I provided the customer service rep with a confirmation the loan was paid off and they said OK it is cancelled.

Well I got a notice via email shortly thereafter that they were renewing my service in my name at the address I DON’T LIVE AT ANYMORE and I had to call to cancel AGAIN and still don’t have a confirmation number or anything that states the service was canceled.

I did NOT sign OR approve a new contract – so if they want to charge me for something I did not sign up for – I will put a stop payment on my credit card and they will get NOTHING from me.

If a sales rep from this awful, sleazy company ever comes knocking on your door. DON’T ANSWER IT and if they do try to sell you this – DON’T BUY IT. It doesn’t work, their customer service is horrible and their tactics are borderline criminal

VIVINT IS TERRIBLE. They auto renew your contract without letting you know and then will not let you cancel and make it very hard to cancel. If they know you are trying to cancel they will avoid you. Also, if a small plastic sensor breaks they charge you $60 to replace it like you aren’t already paying enough to have security through them. They are a joke.

A rep came knoking on my door yesterday took over an hour of my buzy time trying to convince me of buying their system and they would pay for my service and all they want back was to brag about them to my neighbors. To make a long story short, he ran my credit a first time, then he said he had to do a hard pull now, I looked at him like, ‘ are you stupid’ . I asked him since the beginning if he was going to pull my credit or asked for my ss I wouldn’t do it cause I don’t know you like that, but he did a soft pull any way without my ss. So I told him i am not going to continue with this without letting my husband know. He said never mind him. I need this not him he is hardly home. That’s when I told him I need time to get back with him he said NO! Mind you he got me to sign some papers already. Then he said you can try it for two weeks and if you don’t want it you can cancel with a refund. That was another lie. At the end i demand for him to void everything thank goodness he didn’t walk out without deleting my information from his system. He alse asked for my home WIFI password. I said NO! Please be careful out there people. I almost got myself in a 5 year loan contract without knowing. When he realized he lost the sale, he apologized and offered the first month free. I said no thx!

DO NOT USE VIVINT. I never write reviews, but I was just informed that our service has been cancelled due to non-payment. Well, yes – I’m not going to pay for service that is not being met. We’ve had a ridiculous amount of issues with our service, products, and billing since we were conned into this contract. And then you have to spend HOURS on the phone with their rude customer service reps, from various departments because they don’t cross train anyone and it seems like no one has a consistent answer for anything. So yes – I did stop payment for service I wasn’t receiving, and I informed them of that when they started calling. But I went onto my account today to get all my payments settled because frankly, I can’t stand having debt – and I couldn’t see my account information. So I did a live chat and was informed that my service was canceled….without my knowledge. My snail mail, no phone call, and no email. I will be spending MORE HOURS on the phone later tonight to speak to a supervisor. DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR SALES PITCH. THEY SUCK. This is by far the worst company I’ve ever used, and we have Comcast/Xfinity. So…

Vivint has been awful from start to finish and expensive too. Deceptive sales and service tactics, and manipulation of the customer are disturbing. The system is very unreliable. Vivint could care less about the customer. I have been trying to work with them over the last 7 months and it has been dreadful. I had 4 no-shows for service in a row! Your system will not work without a contract to continue service, unlike what I was told by Best Buy when I bought the system. Best Buy said I would have the ability to self-monitor at no cost, but Vivint puts profit first and the customer last.

I made a big mistake going with this company. If you are looking for a security company, look elsewhere, Vivant is awful! They are completely incompetent and over-priced. Just trying to cancel service with them is like an act of Congress. I would never use them again or recommend their service to anyone!

I scheduled a install with this company and it was a disaster. I recieved a confirmation email for the time and date right away. I paid for the install and equipment up front. The date of the install they made a call in the morning making sure someone over 18 would be there during the scheduled time, which was 10-12. At 1:00 I called to find out what was going on. I was told after a returned call that my time slot was 12-2, even though I have a email stating 10-2. Still no one showed by 3. I called and canceled. Why would I do business with a company, especially a alarm/security company, that does not show up when needed and lies about the situation at hand. They called later stating they didn’t see a cancellation. I have yet to receive a email confirming my cancellation that was promised to be sent right away, or my money. I would warn other from doing business with a company with such low concern for the customer and low morals.

Vivint works great…. for the first week. Then their garbage technology is constantly breaking down. We’ve been a customer for just over two years and its been a constant nightmare. Their garage door automation system doesn’t work with our garage door opener. We bought the specific garage door opener they told us to buy. The panel is constantly breaking. If you can harass them into sending a technician to your house, you have a 50/50 chance of the technician actually knowing what he is doing. This company is a total ripoff. Go with ANYONE else.

I was completely deceived by the sales rep. Basically, they said they can simply take over of my existing ADT equipment and that if we had any issues with any of the equipment that they would sent out a tech at no charge and would replace anything that needed to be replaced at no charge. The truth is that they do not cover equipment from other company’s nor replace it. That makes sense, but they should not have lied to me about it. I also learned that in the case of a power outage (I live in Miami where storms can leave us without power for days) any ADT equipment would be offline. So that means that when a home needs protection most my family would not be protected. Was never told Vivint cannot take over the ADT glass breaks and then later told I would need to buy those from Vivint. Was told by the sales rep on more than one occasion (and in writing) that the DVR would improve my camera quality which was poor. That also was not true. The thermostat is waaaay off and I now have to keep the temperature 3 degrees lower than before just to keep it comfortable. Have had 9 incidents of equipment “not connecting” to Vivint in the first 4 days. And when I finally cancelled, they are cancelling my service immediately but taking 11 days to pick up the equipment leaving me unprotected for that whole time (ADT cannot re-connect until they take their equipment). And of course I will not have to pay to reconnect the ADT equipment because they cannot put it back. Never been more disappointed with a company. I would not recommend them…at all.

The Vivint sales rep came by my house and my wife was going to be a stay at home mom. So she thought getting a security system was a great idea. Talked to vivint and was able to get it installed and set up that day. The sales rep told us that we could try out the system for 2 weeks and if we didn’t like it we could return it. A week went by and I received my first bill I called and the rep she said my sales person lied to me and said it was only 3 days. I stopped paying the bill. They just kept sending it no calls no notice just kept adding up. I called and eventually paid it. Had a thermostat go out on me twice charged me 50 dollars each time they came out. 1st time they wired it wrong the 2nd time was because the wrong wiring caused the thermostat to blow. This was within 2 days back to back to each other. Other than that monthly monitoring was 59.99 kinda high. I moved and they wanted 100 dollars or I could take the old system which kept freezing up. They did get rid of their 60 month contract but they want to run your credit now. Not to mention their equipment is drastically marked up. So I’m calling to cancel I dont care about the buy out. Beware of Vivint. Stay away.

After having issues with RING not working properly, we switched to Vivint. It’s been about a month now, and the doorbell camera never detects any movement. Had an Amazon package that was a truck bed mat rolled up in a 6 foot tall box. It was not detected!!! Seems to be the position of the doorbell camera, and the morning sun. I made no changes, and after about 11 AM when the sun is not headed right into the camera, it detected me walking out the door. What good is a camera if it can’t detect ALL motion. I guess if I leave a sign out front asking for my packages not to be stolen in the morning, I may be able to see who is doing it…
For the price, it is NOT worth the money in my opinion. Cheaper options that work about as well available.

Very poor customer service. I was misled from the time of sale as well as from the installers stating I could cancel the monthly fee for the remote monitoring and monitor myself. I finally canceled it and the “free” app to self monitor no longer worked. I had to pay the monthly monitoring fee in order to use the app! That is not what I was told. Why would I buy a system and not be able to check my cameras when I wasn’t at home. Isn’t that why we buy cameras? I will be looking for a replacement system!

NEVER told autorenewal at 3 hour presentation. Service technician had no idea what the piece of original equipment was let alone use. Customer service said no increase in monthly bill after I purchased outdoor camera. $299.00 for camera. Constant low battery notification. Told on 4 calls to open panel and change battery myself. Outdoor camera lag “helped” thief break in my vehicle. Camera records wind movement all day but missed people movement! When appt. Was made for fix, first i was told $349.00 for activation then $379.00 for equipment! Time for Fl. Attorney General.
People in the field do not know what the phone representatives know, phone techs do not know what field techs know and finally, they practice the get more money out of the customer.
On the program UNDERCOVER BOSS. The CFO or CEO ( dont remember which) promised fixes to the field techs that hanger been implemented. I’m proof and victim of that.
By the way. I’m still waiting, going on 72 hrs. now, for a return call from a supervisor (!) to cancel my account. This company and equipment and lack of fixing and customer satisfaction has not fulfilled their part of their contract. I have paid monthly on time and owe no balances. The breach is on them.
Stay with ADT or go to RING.
Insult to injury. On the cancellation call I asked what I have to do. Told to return equipment. I asked if that meant the camera and sensors the rep. said yes. I purchased the camera and the sensors were from my ADT service. There was no response when I said this is my paid for this thusly I own them! I just hung up.

Without a doubt the worst company I have ever dealt with. It is shocking that a company that is national like this would have no ethics or values but apparently it’s the modern age. They have constantly withdraw money without permission and even after I moved our hounding me by email or phone call and text to continue paying them for a system I don’t use in a city I don’t live in. It is absolutely reprehensible and I hope no one ever uses them again. It is scandalous a business like this can stay Open and the government not shut them down.

Vivint is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with for ANYTHING! Their equipment fails constantly, to the point I would rather not have it working than deal with getting it replaced since they want to charge you for replacing or having a tech install. Have had so many false alarms due to their faulty equipment. They called for some unknown reason today and left a 4 minute message of SILENCE. When I called to see why they called they could not tell me why anyone called. They are so incompetent they make Congress look like they know what they are doing. Buyer beware! Cannot wait for this contract to be over!

Like others, our system has NEVER worked the way it is supposed to. I don’t know how many times I’ve called customer service and their excuse is always the same, “oh you just need to reboot your panel, you need to do it every month” then when I point out that doesn’t fix our issues and I want someone to come to our house and fix it, they refuse.

I got a particularly smart mouthed rep this time named BayLee who told me it’s our fault that our system doesn’t work because per our contract we’re supposed to reboot the panel every month, and we aren’t. Now, as I’ve said, rebooting the panel doesn’t work, and I told her this over and over and over again. But, if that really was the issue, why doesn’t vivint have an automatic reboot for their panels every month? Why are their customers supposed to remember to do this when every other security system I’ve ever had hasn’t required this?? But again, this does NOT fix our issues. That didn’t matter to Baylee, she proceeded to argue with me at every turn and refuse my request for a technician to come look at our system before finally declaring the problem is our internet is not fast enough to support our hardware. No one else has ever told us this was a problem in all the times I’ve called customer support. She then quoted me a ridiculous number, saying that we needed 2 GB/s of upload speed (who has that in a populated area??) and then claimed that was a mistake and she meant a lower speed, but didn’t tell me what the speed was that is required, she just told me ours is too low and told me our upload speed was lower than what my own speed testing software says it is. Then the conversation ended and nothing got fixed, once again. Now, I don’t know, but I would have thought that when they came to install the system they would have checked our internet speeds, and if they weren’t good enough they would have told us before installing all of this stuff. Apparently not.

We went all out too, we bought 3 cameras, two door locks, sensors for all the exterior doors and most of the windows, a garage door controller, and 3 fire alarms. It was not a cheap installation. So our issues. We had a car stolen out of our driveway last week. That’s okay though, we have cameras, right??? Wrong. The camera stopped recording literally right as the guy got into view of it. What a joke! This is a constant issue, our cameras never work properly. They’re constantly going offline, or just not recording video for no apparent reason. If you want to try and talk to someone who is at your front door, forget about it! The camera will take 30 seconds to a minute to load, and then when it does it will freeze constantly. Want to watch a clip that was just recorded, or view a live camera feed when someone has just stolen a car from your house and may be coming back? Too bad! It will take so long to load the feed it’ll be too late! Btw, when I told Baylee this story, she didn’t even apologize or show any kind of sympathy, she was just argumentative and smart the entire conversation. Nice customer service.

So if you don’t want to read all that and just want to take the gist away from my review, we paid a lot for this system, it never works properly, especially when you need it most, and the customer service is a joke and blames you for the system not working.

Purchasing any products from Vivint was the biggest waste of money I’ve ever spent. I purchased a doorbell camera, an outdoor camera, a garage door opener, a front door dead bolt, and a smoke detector. So far, 3 of the 5 have broken. I tried multiple times getting someone to come out and fix it, but all I could get Vivint to do was make me trouble shoot over the phone even though I had already tried all of that and told them it didn’t work. Finally after several months, someone came to the house and confirmed (what I already knew) that the equipment wasn’t working. They replaced it free of charge, but within a month, none of it was working again. It’s cheap, glitchy equipment. The customer service is slow and hard to get ahold of. Equipment you’re using to protect your home should be trustworthy and reliable.

    Worst company ever!!!
If you see them coming to your house, DO NOT open the door for them!!!
They make you sign a contract for 5 years and they don’t even tell you. If the cámaras don’t work they charge you to send a technician to find the problem and then Is an extra charge to fix the problem.

When you call with a problem they tell you your options and they’re not even trying to help you!!! All they care is about the money and that’s it!!!!

    WORST COMPANY !

From the salesman to the install it has been an overall great experience. I absolutely love the system. Pricing could be better but my familys safety is more important to me than a price point. I would recommend Vivint to any and everyone.
