    Had a break in happen in the first month I opened my new business. Undortanetly the thieves had smashes my door and gotten in. It being 3:00AM pst I was asleep. Alarm forces tried to contact me but as any person at 3:00AM I was asleep in the time spand from 3:00 until 3:30AM they had continued to try and contact me. But yet they did not contact the police in that time spand. As I was told they did not disbatch the police because only one alarm had gone off. In my first month of business I had a smashed door a product stolen and the theif got off Scott free because the police were not disbatched. I was very disappointed at this point and will no longer continue my services.Read More

    This company is impossible to get rid of. We tried to cancel our service 2.5 years ago when we moved out of our building. They said we had a year to run on our contract. So we told them okay we will pay for another year but cancel our service after that. We did not check our credit card as we have too many accounts to monitor them all. They continued to bill us for more than a year after our contract had been completed. When we canceled payment on our credit card they called to say we owed them for equipment even though we knew we had returned it. Nevertheless we agreed to pay nearly $300 for equipment to get them off our back. They then took the information off our cheque and started billing our bank account for monthly fees. We contacted the bank and had the payments charged back. Now they are calling us again saying we owe them for equipment. Do not deal with this company.Read More

    we went with alarm force only because the house we moved into had the security system already installed. First camera we had set up was absolute garbage and was such junky quality that when someone walked up to our door you couldn’t even make out who they were, even if it was someone you knew. called and complained and they told us they had a new and improved system with cameras they would come and upgrade us for free. Came and installed old camera and installed door bell camera. Much better quality but know we couldn’t watch our camera from our phone and we weren’t getting notifications because their wasn’t a “strong enough signal” they came back and uninstalled the doorbell camera, and installed a new camera where our first had been.By doing this we now lost the audio but the quality was good. We started noticing that we weren’t getting notifications when our camera was triggered. We tried using the app and changing settings and going online and it was a headache and we could not figure it out. finally called them again, they walked me through it and it apparently works now. Previously i had this set up and when there would be storms it would trip our sensor and we would end up getting a million notifications, every minute, so i asked the tech guy if there was a way i could easily turn this off for when a situation like that occurred. He told me if that happens i need to call them and they will walk me through it. Which is super annoying.there should be a simple on off switch i can do myself, he walked me through the steps in changing the sensitivity and sensor. We also “ran out of storage” once because over night there was a storm and it recorded all night, we used a whole month of storage in ONE NIGHT. There isn’t an easy way to just delete the saved video to get your storage back, you have to pay for more storage of course, surprise surprise.
    So there isn’t an easy way to turn your sensor off during storms, and as a result you use your storage and have to pay more to actually be able to use your alarm system for what its purpose is, which is to record unexpected activity.

    we foolishly signed up for a new 3 year contract before all of this happened and in order to get out of it now we have to pay our monthly fee times the amount of months we have left, which is absolutely ridiculous. I have an alarm system and honestly don’t feel safe at all with it because of all of the “bugs” in the app and system itself. ridiculously unhappy with alarm force. Their customer service is the only thing they have going for them and i honestly feel sorry for all the people that do work their customer service. their app, website, and system is complete garbage, you would be better off going to home depot and buying the doorbell video recording system then dealing with this

    Horrible company to deal with. My contract was supposed to be cancelled back in 2014. Got a call in March 2017 saying my account has been sent to collections. The collections manager is a complete jerk who was not willing to discuss the situation at all, all he said was that he wanted the money. I was going to get them to hook up a new system on our new house but there is no way that is happening now. What a bunch of crooks!!!

    Alarm Force has always been there for me. They replace the batteries for me every other year for free. Any bad equipment they replace right away for free. The technicians are knowledgeable and come out and work on the equipment fix any issues retest and then ensure I’m always satisfied. Customer service is always responsive. I had one sensor go bad that was giving false alarms they fixed that promptly. The online app works great, the system works great . I have friends with the same system and have the same comments. Alarm Force has always been good to us. There’s no longer a service contract length and I could quit anytime but choose not to. I definitely feel secure with Alarm Force in action.

    absolutely horrible!! was broken into 5 times while I was at work and alarm force told me they had a computer glitch all 5 times!!! I had premium package paid for additional delivery took around 9 months charged me for installation. I will.not use again!!!

    We were customers for about 3 years and included my out of town mother in law on our contract. When we moved out of the house, and my mother in law happened to move out in a similar timeframe, we did not take the equipment off of the walls of the house. We did contact them to cancel the contract and thought we returned all of the equipment they wanted back. Every time they called, they harassed us about the new owners of the homes we just vacated – wanting us to market their company. Their contract was not clear on what to do with equipment that they had installed in the homes. Needless to say, after over a year of arguing with them, we just received a $400 from collections for Alarm Force equipment. We just paid it in order to be done with this. What an awful company to try and communicate with. Alarm Force, you stole $400 from my family.

    AlarmForce has indicated that they cannot find my account number that they gave me… so the only thing I can speculate is that they owe me $… no account number, no account, no $ owed.

    Be CERTAIN you read the ENTIRE contract from these clowns, rather than allowing their installation rep to bully you into endorsing the contract and be careful here as well, as I was given a used piece of garbage that broke at the wiring and these twits have actually indicated that it is up to me to do their job.

    Was considering renewing my service but they wanted to charge me more for the same service. The equipment that I have is outdated which includes the keypad.
    Been with this company for 3 years and a coworker highly recommended them. I eve recommended them to my family who also has service with them.
    The alert on the phone should come with the set up of service with all the packages.

    I have been with Alarmforce for a year now. I had issues with the quality of the cameras we had and they came and replaced them with their newer system. They are very friendly on the phone when I call them and always want to make the customer happy. I would recommend Alarmforce to family and friends. Thank you Alarmforce for your professionalism and maintaining high quality customer relations.

    I’ve bee with Alarm Force since 2008 and have had no major issues! I am happy with the company thus far! False alarms by us were handled quickly! I had no issues with the equipment except with the batteries! Normal need to replace them.

    I put in my 3 years … alarm went off a few times in one day and the company called my contact person. Positive feedback. That was first year of service. Since then, alarm was set off and no notification at all to me or contacts. My husband set off alarm by going into the garage and not going into house to shut off the alarm. All my contacts were home and I was in the area with my cell phone on. When I finally hit the end of my contract, I pulled the sensors from the doors, fully expecting to get a call because I still had a couple more weeks left in the contract, but I was getting a new system. No call. Nothing. I then unhooked all my equipment. Nothing.
    So I called them. I was told that my alarm NEVER went off in all 3 years. I am serious. Then when I informed the agent on the phone that they did in fact go off, I was told that it was my job to make sure and test the system every month. Why bother have a system then … since we sometimes travel for a month and just have someone looking after the place? No apology – Nothing.
    I wrote letter confirming end of my contract and when last payment would be made. Then more payments were taken out of my account. Early October 2016 I made them aware, figuring they would take care of it right away. WRONG!!!! This is December 15 and I am still waiting. Apparently it takes 4-6 WEEKS for this company to return a payment to a customer when they take it illegally from your account. Today I was told that it would be mailed out next week. Apparently, I misunderstood the email I received. The email said the “Refund PROCESS could take 4-6 weeks”. As far as I am concerned, their accounting department leaves a lot to be desired, and the poor clerk that I dealt with should receive danger pay! She is the one that has to inform the irate customer, and I hate to take it out on the messenger, but today was the last straw. Now, do I expect to receive my money soon? No. Is it a big amount? No. But now it is principle of the thing. If someone signs up for this alarm service, please be aware of how they do their business. My 3 years were a big waste of money, and there is no way I would ever recommend them to someone. They do not even have the decency to accept their shortcomings, or offer any sympathy. They were wrong. That is it. They took money out of my bank account without permission. If I did that to someone, the authorities would be all over me. I am not a happy camper!
    Please check around and compare the alarm system companies out there. I have a great one now. They monitor it for me, constantly, and yes it has been set off in error. And another bonus is that it is cheaper and I have more equipment than Alarm Force!!!

    This monitoring was fine while it was active but, as stated in many other reviews, it is a nightmare when canceling. I completed my contract of monitoring over 3 years. I was selling/closing on my house and moving out and cancelled the service. I was told, I need to leave the equipment because I don’t own it. I left the equipment. Now, they tell me they will continue charging my account until the equipment is returned even though the equipment is now in a house I don’t own. I told them I could call my bank and stop the charges and she said, “It doesn’t matter, we have your checking account on file.” She told me I have to call the new owners or my Realtor and get the equipment back or they will continue to charge me. That is not what their customer care representative said when I called the day before close. I am sure they were going to try to sucker in a new client. If your are looking for a good alarm system, I know the price is reasonable for Alarmforce, but, the nightmare, if you ever try to cancel, is not worth it. Good Luck.

    If you want to deal with complete incompetence and a bunch of frauds then alarm force is the company for you.

    Took me over an hour on the phone with a girl who doesn’t understand English just to cancel my contract which by the way I agreed to pay the difference on. They said they’d have to send me an email in order to cancel which of course they never did send and continued billing me monthly.

    What kind of mivkey mouse company can’t even cancel your service over the phone? The girl was rude and was too stupid to even take down my email properly. Maybe if you want to make people cancel by email hire people competent enough to know how to understand basic English.

    Worst company ever. Can’t wait till it does go to collections so that I can at least deal with somebody who is equally rude but at least competent. Pretty sure the 90IQ person at the collections agency will at least know how to send an email.

    This company are absolutely CROOKED. 16 years ago we moved into a house in a remote area and needed an alarm. I heard the ads fro Alarm Force and thought it sounded reasonable and cheap, so we went with them. After he installed it he told me that i had to sign up for a 5 year contract minimum! For 2 years we lived in that house and then moved to a house that did not need an alarm. I wanted to cancel and get out of the contract but they wouldn’t let me. They wanted me to pay for 3 years of not using it! I refused. 16 years later, we are suddenly getting calls like crazy at all hours of the night and early morning looking for payment from us!

    I fulfilled my contract and I am trying to cancel service, they refuse to answer my e-mails or send me the UPS label to send equipment back they are holding me hostage to their company. I need help I am a veteran who is going through cancer treatments and don’t need this stress.

    We purchased over $300 in equipment for our house in 2013 and had Alarm Force install. Two years later we moved to a small apartment and had a lot of extra equipment left over from the install. The tech took all that equipment that I had paid for back with him.

    In September 2016 we move to a large town home where I would like to cover all the windows again. Guess what? I have to repurchase all the equipment that the tech took back with him. It seems to me that this is false advertising where you buy the equipment and then the company demands to have it all back. Maybe it’s time to contact our State Representative to inquire about a possible class action lawsuit for false advertising.

    When trying to cancel the AlarmForce service, it took three calls and untold time on hold to have them cancel the service. I do not recommend this company.

    I chose the company because I remembered their jingle. The CSR told me it was two years. But when I signed up it was three. Also even though I had automatic withdrawal they were always sending notices that they could not get the money. After several months of that, i checked with the bank only to be told noone tried to withdraw the funds. Then one day when my alarm went off they called to verify and the person that was in my home answered and told them it was okay. My key fob broke off and I asked the installer for another, he took the one and refused to give another. Though they told me that a person would come out to remove at contract end, it took them months to send me a shipping label. And wanted to to pay for service for the extra months. So glad I did not renew, actually got new service a year before their contract ended- they were paid and their service was not hooked up in my home.

    We “inherited” the alarm contract in our home from alarmforce. We have had the service for less than a month. I am so 100% disappointed in the service and the product. The camera is absolutely horrible. You have no way of controlling or making changes to your account online. When attempting to cancel you have to pay the full remaining balance of what it would be otherwise.

    Their equipment is similar to products offered over 10 years ago. That’s why it is “cheap”.

    I was an AlarmForce customer for 11years. During that time I received mediocre service and actually had to pay them for a battery for their base unit… Not once did they offer me a system upgrade or even contact me to see how they were doing. I accidentally set off my alarm a while back and I waited for just about 10 minutes for them to respond and ‘voice threaten me’. This combined with the fact that a customer in Edmonton had his house burgled and the did not respond for iver an hour I thought it might be time for a change. I changed to another company and AlarmForce decided to continue to bill me even thought I had sent them back their equipment within the time stated. When I contacted customer service they told me they could charge me for up to 2 months as I was under a contract. I told the CSR that my contract obligation was fulfilled 8 years prior… They told me basically too bad so sad… Long story short… Stay far away from these clowns… Poor service all the way around!

    Fall Detection system service malfunctions and has very poor range. Cannot go outside – customer service said to “open a window” each time I go outside. So ridiculous. Don’t waste you time or money. Talk to Lifeline.ca. The difference between the two companies, and services is HUGE.

    I had alarm force for 3 years and terminated my contract at the end of this period and shipped back the equipment on time. However, alarm force still charged me an additional $33 after my contract was terminated for no reason. Spoke to them on the phone and they gave an excuse contrary to what the termination email instructions stated. For this reason I consider this company fraudulent and would highly recommend NOT using alram force for your home security.

    Fraud, where the installer added wording to my contract after leaving my home, without my knowledge and hurrying me to endorse the contract;

    The installer spent almost 5 hours installing the ONE unit, showing incompetence;

    Over-charging me for services not rendered on my contract; among other discrepancies.

    Run away from this company… of fraudulent actions and no transparency.

    Beyond frustrated at this company. They did install the product and no hiddien fees – hence the one thing they did right and one star I’ll give them. When the alarm went off while I was out of province they sent the police to the wrong address and then when it went off a second time they did not send anyone!!! Then I move and transfer the account to the new tenants. Nearly 2 years later I get notified I owe ove a thousand as they did not transfer it correctly and I’m on the hook unless of course I return the equipment. Although its tempting to break into my old house and steal the equipment back (let’s face it they will send the police to the wrong house anyways so I won’t get caught) I have morals so won’t. Bottom line – don’t use them to protect your home. Although, your neighbors house may be fine.

    First the technology: Alarm Force provides old, outdated equipment that breaks down repeatedly. Their sensors dont work about half the time and I’ve never seen their motion sensors work. I’ve had their equipment for 9 years and they still want it back – who are they supplying 9year old equipment to?
    Customer Service: They put you on hold for 35-40 minutes when you want to cancel. They require two months notice for cancellation(!?) and will bill you an extra month regardless. This is low cost, crappy service andI’m guessing they dont have a lot of return customers so then they get rude and unhelpful on the phone.

    I switched over to Alarmforce because they are rated how high. I have never been so disappointed in my life with this poor quality alarm system they installed in my house. I have armed my system again with my back door open again and the Alarmforce does not have the technology to let you know the door is open. It is funny ADT has the technology to have a digital display on their keypad to tell you the back door is open.

    We activated the alarm, we came home about 1 am and forgot the alarm was activated. As soon as we opened the door, the alarm went off. We couldn’t remember the password to disactivated it, and then finally after many tries, we finally disactivated it. They were supposed to call to ask for the secret password and to see what happened. 4 hours later they called us and said “Sorry” in the mean time the robbers even have time to prepare a sandwhich, drink a cup of coffee, and Alarm Force resolves the problem with a “Sorry”. Besides, the sensor on the Door Porch wasn’t working. Now, they put me into collection and want me to pay a lot of money for a service that we don’t have anymore. Supposley, we have a contract with them, but who failed first? Who broke the contract? Them! They gave me a guarantee of high quality of good service and put a system that wasn’t working. Will you give your money to a company that doesn’t meet the satisfaction of their customers?? Besides, they put my daughter into collection, my daughter is innocent because I AM THE ONE WHO MADE THE DEAL WITH THEM, NOT MY DAUGHTER. Something is not right, they are acting illegaly. If you have a problem or a similar problem with Alarm Force, let’s join us together, and fight for our rights. There must be a way to stop this nonsense that they are doing. (Ruining the integrity of people that believe in their merchandise they sell.)

    To all who have problems with Alarm force, seek for help. Let’s go to the consumer affairs. Someone is going to have to stop the Alarm Force company of their frauds. Fight for your rights!! If we need to go to court, let’s fight them in court and we will see. We are not alone. Now I have a professional company. I am very happy. Protecting my family that is very important to me. With this company, you,your family, and your belongings, are not safe. Terrible!!!!!!!!!!!! Very disappointed!!!!! I have read all the other reviews and I agree that their company service is very horrible!! Waiting on the phone for 30-45 mins.

    I am very dissatisfied. It was in my husband’s name and now they want me to pay a balance that I was unaware of and an extra $100. When we moved here we picked up a contract and was not given proper information. We are now separated and I don’t understand why I can’t cancel the service that I don’t want. Customer service is terrible and rude.

    This company is terrible compared to other big ones in the market. They are also trying to sell you everything initially and very nice to begin with. Once they have you they really dont care.

    I moved states and bought out my contract and they stil nickel and dimed me for a pick up fee for equipment. Really horrible.

    The equipment quit working after a year. Still had to fulfill our contract. Canceled after 3 years (which is what was in the contract) and sent the equipment back. They are still billing for 2 additional months as they state they need 60 day cancellation notice.

We recently moved to a new home and took our equipment with us, the installer was very knowledgable and spent time showing me how everything worked and went through the booklet so I would understand how we could change certain things on the system ourselves, as well as showing me what to do if I received a message that the batteries needed changed. I trusted his suggestion on where the equipment should be installed and he was certainly correct. He suggested a remote to keep in our bedroom to set the alarm at night and have by the bed in case of an emergency. It was the best thing we ever did. I recently received a bill for the remote and had a question, the young lady I talked to was very helpful and was able to get the answer to my question and returned my call very quickly. We are extremely happy with Alarmforce!

    Do not use Alarm Force they are a terrible company. False Alarms all the time. Rude Customer service, keep you on hold 30 minutes. Doubt the alarm even works. BUYER BEWARE. Will be cancelling, .

    Alarm Force has terrible customer service. Terrible equipment and high monthly prices.
    I called their customer service number multiple times for help with the sub-standard system that they installed in my home. Since I owed this month’s balance, they would not even give me instruction on how to change my passcode inside my home. I was leaving the state for a week and since I hadn’t paid this month’s bill – then they wouldn’t tell me how to change the code. In other words, they could care less about your safety of your home. Even if you aren’t behind on your bill, you can not have customer service. Also – I have been with this company for over 3 years bc I was roped into a contract with them in order to get this equipment free. When I tried to cancel with them, even after 3 years, they want their equipment back. So my suggestion is – DO NOT use Alarm Force. They do not offer customer service, they do not stand behind their products. They take your money and that is it! I will never, ever recommend them to anyone. In fact, I’ll make sure I tell everyone I know about how disgusted I am with this garbage company. You can count on it.

    Alarm Force will offer you terrible customer service and terrible response time. They will rent you equipment that is cheap and unreliable. Canceling the contract is an absolute nightmare. This is one of the worst customer care experiences I had in my life. Finally I decided to go with professionals (JTL Alarm & Surveillance) in security field. I am currently paying double my monitoring fee and could not be happier with service or overall experience. My best advice: stay away from Alarm Force, what they sell you, is nothing more than promises, lies subpar service experience at best.

    Bad alarm response it takes a long time before that come on the phone and I don’t know why the contract have to be 3 years. I have them a year and few months I have been trying to cancel with them from the first month I receivd their equipment they told me no I have to stick with them or pay thousands of dollar to get rid of them I was on the phone the other day and I heard another person say to someone( that’s your worst nightmare) now that’s not good customer service at all talking about me are some one else . Then I talk to the manager and I told her I was going to walk away and don’t pay anything and let it stay on my credit ‘her reply was (I guess you know the routine)

    I bought this on the recommendation of a radio host. Signed a contract for 3 years. Technician that had me sign paperwork said that the cost of my cameras and equipment was paid for in the lease. It was not. When I cancelled three years later due to a move and not using their service, I had to pay 650$ for the equipment because I could not return and it was lost in the move. Thousands of dollars later, I got sub par service and I double paid for subpar equipment(camera picture was very distorted color wise and not really clear) Definitely nothing like the pictures on their website. Overall not a good company. Do not buy anything from them.
    Funny side note, when I called to cancel, they would not cancel until the end of the month!!! They didn’t want to refund me the 13 days that it would take to get to the end of the month!

    I had a great installation experience. I understand about the limited number of door contacts, but it’s perfect for what my wife and I needed. I wasn’t impressed with the customer service of the “leading alarm” companies I received.

    Very upset with Alarm Force customer service (or lack of). We used their services for ten years with the original equipment and paid the monthly fee every month. In order to get a service call when we had problems with the alarm two years ago, we were told by the technician when he came to our house that if we signed a two year contract, he wouldn’t charge for the service call. I did this and then we had further problems and disconnected the alarm out of frustration. We were transferred to another part of the province and left the old equipment (ten years old and not working) behind and we carried on with the payments for eight months even though we had moved. I stopped payments when I had four more months on the contract, as I felt that I shouldn’t be paying for something that I no longer had and didn’t work anyway. Their customer service department is demanding that I send the now eleven year old equipment back (don’t know where it is now) or pay $200 to cover the cost of it (only fit for the recycling bin) or they will send my account to a collection agency $432.80 which includes equipment, a few months of charges and interest. My advice is to stay well away from their Company.

    A few things made me shy from giving Alarm force a 10. The Representative I spoke to on the phone lie more than once. He told me the equipment was installed with a strong adhesive when in reality they were installed with screws. I specifically did not want holes in the walls. Also, he told me the tech would be hear on one date but set me up for 7 days later. Also, He told me that the alarm had 1 setting. Not a home and away setting. I feel that the people signing up new customers should know what they are talking about.

    On a good note. The response is very quick if the alarm goes off and the dispatcher is polite. the system is easy to use.

    Bad service and very poor alarm response. Once there was an alarm and they called me on my cell to ask if it was real alarm or false. I was at Walmart about 20 min from my house. I knew that there was no one in the house so I asked them to send someone immediately to investigate. I left everything and rushed home and reached in about 20 min. NO one from Alarm Force was there yet. When I called them up to find out why they informed me that the security part is contracted out to third party and they will come at their own schedule when availability is there. I was so so angry and mad when I heard this.
    They advertise on the radio with a very stern manly voice to an Alarm Two-Way response. But in actual practice once there was a false alarm and I was home. An Asian Indian or Pakistani lady came on the two way speaker and asked in a very soft voice to identify yourself.

    They installed hideous equipment that fell apart in no time! The technician advised me that I was on a one year contract, only to find out that it was actually THREE (they offer nothing less), my fault for being rushed and not stopping to read the contract…when I called to cancel they offered no early cancellation fee, instead they advised me that I would have to pay for each month remaining in my contract ( I don’t even think that cell phone companies can do this anymore!!) Anyhow, the customer service is awful, the equipment is bottom of the barrel and not very easy on the eyes, I wouldn’t recommend these guys to ANYONE!!!

    Alarm Force has horrible customer service. We completed our contract and requested to cancel the service. They are requiring for US to uninstall something that was professionally installed. They should be resonsible for uninstalling their equipment. We never even got to use the system because the installer placed the sensor facing a curtain that would constantly detect motion due to the air vent below it! Horrible!!!
