    The ALARM FORCE is a hoax as they won’t tell you any details if the alarm goes off, due to legal liability. Mine went off the other day and they have dispatched the guards without telling me additional information (i.e.: procedures, the guards time of arrival, etc.). I’ve arrived home, checked the perimeter and the guards were not there. What a terrible service. They have told me that if I cancel they will charge me the remainder of the contract. Thoughts on cancellation?

    We have been with this company for probably 17 years….we have yet to find fault with anything including customer service…why would anyone not be with Alarm Force!!!

    They are great at getting the equipment installed and making sure you sign the contract and pretty much no where to be found until you need to resign a contract or complain.

    First entering the contract all went well, then the slow billing statements. If I made payments in advance I had to call them because the payments never posted. Called well in advance to advise we would like to cancel upon completion of two year contract and still received a bill 5 months later for each month. Their reason because you must call them to cancel. Then received another bill for the equipment not being returned when I contested and filed a complaint with the BBB then they sent a UPS paid parcel envelope for their equipment. That was returned and I would recommend this company ever to anyone.

    Worst customer service ever I have experienced. Have contract with them for three years and made only one appointment within the three years for battery replacement. However the technician didn’t turn up. Wasted my whole day for work.

    i had a contract with this company for 5 years. the first 3 years was OK. After that the system started to fail, fals Alarms the camera not working, when disarmed it armed it self after a minute. Even last year I wanted to cancel services and they told me that I`m to late to do so and my contract extended automatically for another year. So today I called Alarm force again to cancel service and found out, that Alarm force isn`t alarm force anymore and is now called Select Security. Still. They really don`t make it easy to cancel. But the new provider told me, that Alarm force last year could have cancel services because I just had a month to month service. Not happy at all with this company. Terrible service, unreliable and absolutely not to recommend. Buy your own equipment and your better off. Thats what I did.

    I use this now but am moving to another state and hope that I can cancel my contract without a lot of hassell. I would not use them again because of their equipment always needing new batteries. I have had to replace batteries at least three or more times a year and that’s to much and to expensive for their batteries and not to mention the fact that I am insecure about the real coverage that I am getting from them. so I would not use them again.

    Alarmforce are always available when you call, but they don’t show up for appointments and don’t call to advise you they won’t be there. We scheduled an appointment on May 2nd for our move on June 23rd. Today is June 27th and they still haven’t provided us with a new install date. I can’t recommend their service.

    Terrible Company to deal with. When I moved I left the system and the new home owner was to take it over. Alarm Force has been nothing but difficult. They told us on the phone to leave the system and it would be changed to the new name. Now they have put me in the Canada Collections for over $1,000.00 and insist I took the equipment from the house. I did not. The new owner has called them on many occasions & been told it was all good, the equipment was all there, yet again today we are both fighting it out again with Alarm Force. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THUS COMPANY AT ALL! EVER! This is the worst way to begin retirement.

    Contracted them for 3yrs. Paid in full. Have all statements, cancelled checks, cancellation confirmation. They send my account to collections for $300. Poor record keeping on there part. I provided all proof to collections and they ignore my documents and ruin credit anyways. With continued harrassment over a fraudulent $300, that isnt owed. Stay away from Alarm Force, they will ruin your credit even if you fulfill your contract.

    Alarm force took an hour to send a security guard. When I called customer service, they started in with ‘there’s no guaranteed response time’, ‘it’s not our fault; we contact another security company to come to the property. When I said the guard took an hour, they didn’t stop making excuses. They said it seems long, but offered no apology. They didn’t even offer to call the security company to find out why they were so late and whether they would do better in the future. The bottom line is they have no idea what security is. They figure they can show up, whenever, like tourists, and witness whatever happened. The worst thing is they don’t even contact the police until AFTER the security guard arrives. So there is no security. Three year contract… Now I get it!

    Well I got alarm force installed and they told me they will upgrade my cameras in 3 months I agreed guess what a year down the road they want me to commit for extra 3 years and pay 400 up top to get the promised service what ever they committed they don’t deliver on it. So don’t get this service. Alas force sucks.

    How can you have “Security” for your home when you have a bunch of crooks working for this company. I am extremely disappointed in the service; the customer care and above all the cancellation process. My agreement had ended in 2010 so a year later I decided the service was no good due to replacing batteries (for which I had to pay for) due to malfunction with the system which resulted in the city Police coming to my condo on 2 occasions (I was told that if they would respond to another call from this Alarm service, that I would be charged) hence why I wanted to cancel. I called to cancel and wrote a detailed email, which I kept (in fact kept all written correspondance – suggest you do the same if you are cancelling your service) I was told by AlarmForce customer care (haha another joke) that I need to send the equipment back , agent said she’ll send box – I never got it, followed up by email and never got a response, called and was told someone would call yet they never did, wrote again and spoke to bank to stop monthly charge, bank couldn’t indicating dispute needs to be settled between client and supplier. Tried again then emergencies within family arose along with other things still throughout all this time since 2012 to March 2017 AlarmForce kept taking the money. System has been unplugged since 2012 and only now have reached o ut indicating their records show I have requested a cancellation. There is more but I don’t want to write out a novel here. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with

    we went with alarm force only because the house we moved into had the security system already installed. First camera we had set up was absolute garbage and was such junky quality that when someone walked up to our door you couldn’t even make out who they were, even if it was someone you knew. called and complained and they told us they had a new and improved system with cameras they would come and upgrade us for free. Came and installed old camera and installed door bell camera. Much better quality but know we couldn’t watch our camera from our phone and we weren’t getting notifications because their wasn’t a “strong enough signal” they came back and uninstalled the doorbell camera, and installed a new camera where our first had been.By doing this we now lost the audio but the quality was good. We started noticing that we weren’t getting notifications when our camera was triggered. We tried using the app and changing settings and going online and it was a headache and we could not figure it out. finally called them again, they walked me through it and it apparently works now. Previously i had this set up and when there would be storms it would trip our sensor and we would end up getting a million notifications, every minute, so i asked the tech guy if there was a way i could easily turn this off for when a situation like that occurred. He told me if that happens i need to call them and they will walk me through it. Which is super annoying.there should be a simple on off switch i can do myself, he walked me through the steps in changing the sensitivity and sensor. We also “ran out of storage” once because over night there was a storm and it recorded all night, we used a whole month of storage in ONE NIGHT. There isn’t an easy way to just delete the saved video to get your storage back, you have to pay for more storage of course, surprise surprise.
    So there isn’t an easy way to turn your sensor off during storms, and as a result you use your storage and have to pay more to actually be able to use your alarm system for what its purpose is, which is to record unexpected activity.

    we foolishly signed up for a new 3 year contract before all of this happened and in order to get out of it now we have to pay our monthly fee times the amount of months we have left, which is absolutely ridiculous. I have an alarm system and honestly don’t feel safe at all with it because of all of the “bugs” in the app and system itself. ridiculously unhappy with alarm force. Their customer service is the only thing they have going for them and i honestly feel sorry for all the people that do work their customer service. their app, website, and system is complete garbage, you would be better off going to home depot and buying the doorbell video recording system then dealing with this

    Horrible company to deal with. My contract was supposed to be cancelled back in 2014. Got a call in March 2017 saying my account has been sent to collections. The collections manager is a complete jerk who was not willing to discuss the situation at all, all he said was that he wanted the money. I was going to get them to hook up a new system on our new house but there is no way that is happening now. What a bunch of crooks!!!

    Alarm Force has always been there for me. They replace the batteries for me every other year for free. Any bad equipment they replace right away for free. The technicians are knowledgeable and come out and work on the equipment fix any issues retest and then ensure I’m always satisfied. Customer service is always responsive. I had one sensor go bad that was giving false alarms they fixed that promptly. The online app works great, the system works great . I have friends with the same system and have the same comments. Alarm Force has always been good to us. There’s no longer a service contract length and I could quit anytime but choose not to. I definitely feel secure with Alarm Force in action.
