  • Offers Multiple Security Packages: Customers can choose from three main packages.
    • Smart Security: $549.99 upfront, $39.99 monthly – 24/7 professionally installed and monitoring with home safety features and devices. Specific features are not specified on the Digital Life website.
    • Smart Security and Automation:  $549.99 upfront, $54.99 monthly – Includes all features of the Smart Security package plus the Camera Package and Door Package. Feature s include window sensors, a garage door controller, smart door locks, an outdoor camera, and more.
    • Premium Security and Automation: $849.99 upfront, $64.99 monthly – Includes everything from the lower security packages as well as a smart thermostat, light control, and other energy features. A temp & water sensor is also included to detect water leaks and tell you the ambient temperature of the room.
  • Free In-Home Consultations: AT&T Digital Life offers free in-home consultations to interested consumers. This helps to ensure that the customer will purchase the equipment and service plan that is best for them and their particular home.
  • 24/7 Professional Monitoring: Digital Life professionally monitors each of its home security systems around the clock, which means customers can rest assured that their home and family will be safe in the event of a break-in.
  • Free Standard Installations: AT&T Digital Life will perform all standard home security system installations for free. This cuts down on upfront costs and makes installing a security system more affordable for customers. Additionally, AT&T’s home security systems are compatible with other hardware, so customers who already have home security equipment can make a seamless transition to Digital Life.
  • Minimum 2-Year Agreement: AT&T Digital Life’s minimum service agreement is 24 months, which means that customers will either be locked into a contract for at least two years or have to pay steep cancellation fees.
  • Early Cancellation Fees Apply: Customers do have the option to get out of their Digital Life contract—at a price. Early cancellation fees start at $640 and go up from there, depending on how much time you have left in your agreement.
  • Our Recommendation: With rather expensive packages and early cancellation fees, we recommend you research companies like Frontpoint Security and Protect America.

ATT digital should NOT be in the service of protecting people’s homes and families. My equipment has not worked one too many times for something unfortunate to happen in our home. I cancelled today, which leads to a whole other host of problems. Our thermostat is not working and incannotncontril the air in my home.Read More

AT& T digital Life was the worst security system I ever purchased. There customer service will lie to you and then when you want to cancel they hit you with the cancellation fee. The service from the moment of installation was a nightmare. First, was the security door lock which locked my entire family out of home due to the lock not working properly,. approximately two days after it was installed. Called customer service there was nothing they could do to get us access to home,so they informed us to contact lock smith and that they would reimburse us. So we did call lock smith and the next day they inform us they would not reimburse us. I wanted to cancel service at this point when they informed me that I would be subject to an early cancellation fee. So, I tried to work with them and they came out a changed the lock on the door, which still never worked properly. Secondly we notice that the system would read not arming. So we called again and they told us nothing was wrong we just had to pull the panel box off the wall and it would reset. The last and final problem was when we walked in the house and we failed to disarm the system. We noticed an hour later that we did not disarm the system and that the system never went off. Again we called and AT&T keeps lying could do nothing and threatens with early cancellation fees. The camera does not record, and a thief can completely burglarize your home and AT&T will still keep charging you for a system that does not work at all. So, they can charge me for the early cancellation fee, I will see them in court because I am the consumer and nobody should have to pay for a security system that absolutely does not work. It let's thieves in a totally locks you out. Worst security system ever made.Read More

One of the worst customer service I have ever seen. This company sucks!!! I’ve dealing with a simple issue as to replace a door sensor since December 2018; it is now March 2019, and still dealing with the issue, on top that they want to charge me $39,95 for an error they committed.
Customer service representative don’t seem to have enough knowledge to resolve simple issues, and went you request a supervisor, or someone that can be a decision-maker, they are reluctant to transfer you.
Do not commit the same mistake I committed switching to AT&T Digital Life alarm system. I walked away from Directv for the same reason, and already started the process of finding a new provider for my alarm.

I was a digital life customer for 4 years and have had their sevice in 3 different states. I have never had an issue until now. I wanted to move my service to didnt home, again I have done this 3 times prior, and I was told it would cost me $550. When I asked why since I have never paid before I was told that terms have changed and there is no way around it. I asked for my contract to be looked at since i still had a year on it to see if I ever signed stating there was a fee. I was told that, that could not be done. I then asked to speak to a supervisor and was told no. After expressing my frustrations with the representative that was extremely rude and unprofessional, she informed me I w li old get a call back that day from a supervisor. Of cour6i did not. I called back the next day to cancel my service and chose that option, and was transferred due to the representative not being able to complete my request. Once transferred, the representative told me there is no other choice but to pay the $550 and I could not speak to a supervisor. I canceled my service and informed her that I would never recommend to anyone and her response was ok goodbye. Never once did I get a supervisor or a representative that was interested in helping me.

This company is the worst. I had the service for maybe 6 months. I had issue after issue. I had a tech at my house every other week. The system would go off and no one would call to monitor the service. The whole time we had the service they had the wrong phone numbers in the system. They never once thought it would be a good idea to see why we didn’t answer our phone. The reason why is because they never called to see if the house was ok. The tech came out to my house and told me that the quality of the video for the service is because of the terrible software they have. He said I cant fix the issue until At&t updates the software. Right then I called a supervisor and let him know his own tech said the system sucks. The supervisor said I could cancel my service and they would waive the early termination fees if I sent back the equipment. So we did that. Then I receive a bill from a collection agency saying I owe over $800. I called in and spent 4 hours on the phone with different people. all they would say is. Sorry you owe the money so pay it. I asked for an email address to the CEO or the president and she said No we can give you that. They are the worst company. Do not go with this company. They all lie and they have terrible service and worst customer service reps.

Terrible service and equipment. Equipment kept faulting out. Wouldn’t get anyone out to check on it, all they say is that it is working properly. I called to cancel service since equipment wasnt working, told that i was paid up until the 6th and to keep it until then. Call in the 6th, told i wanted to cancel since their equipment sucked and went with a better provider, then asked 3TIMES if I would receive another bill, informed that I would receive no more bills at all. Guess what? I received another bill with a late fee to which they tried to tell me I was informed of the bill. NO! finally after arguing they credited my account for it. Now I am going to see if they try to bill me again with a late fee for a service I no longer use. Do yourself a favor, Go with any other company besides this or even go without. This is a joke service and I would never recommend this for anyone

I had to call 3 different times to cancel my crappy service with then. Their employees down right harrass you to stay on board until shear frustration kicks in and you hang up. Then when I say that I want a refund for the month and a half that I had no service I was told that they would only give me a month credit because “Digital Life does not prorate”. Are you kidding me….you did not provide me with any service….crappy as it was…..but I still have to pay. This company sucks….the system sucks and does not do what it is supposed to do…..and their customer service reps are awful. Do yourself a favor….do not use them……having a bat next to your bed would offer you better protection then AT&T Digital Life.

So, I have had ATT Digital life set up in my apartment since 2017 due to a break in. I specifically asked the agent that sold me the equipment and services would I be able to move them and what would the charge be as I was under no circumstances going to live in that apartment after my lease was up. I was told that it would be free to move. Fast forward to present I moved and called to have my services installed at my new location and was told that I would have to pay $349 to install the services at the new location. Advised the rep that I just spoke to that when I installed the services that wasn’t the information that was given to me. Explained that was a change they made in March of 2018. Asked to speak to a supervisor to waive my ETF’s or waive the move fee and he (whom was rude) told me that he could do neither even though he seen that I had signed up before they made the new move rules. Explained to him that I would never of signed up with them if I couldn’t of moved the services and explained to him why I got the services in the first place and he didn’t care. So he told me that THE ONLY WAY I can get out of my ETF’s was to have my landlord send a letter stating that they don’t allow services to be installed there which is a joke within its self due to the amount of break ins everywhere everyone is allowed to install these types of services. So now I am stuck paying over $300 in ETF’s for something that I was lied to about! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE! THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE REAKS AND I WORK IN A CALL CENTER FOR OVER YEARS!!! THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS AND THE WRONG INFORMATION BEING PROVIDED. I would never buy or use ATT services again!!!

Doesn’t ever work like it’s supposed to. Very expensive once promotion expires. But the icing on the cake is when you terminate. The rep would not let me cancel and we incredibly rude. When I finally just said that this has gone on long enough and could she please just cancel, she got even ruder. This went on forever! Then, when you ask how to recycle the equipment, they tell you that you are on your own. That should really be illegal. There is quite a bit of specialized equipment that they installed, and it’s a big deal to remove it. Then you’re stuck with a bunch of equipment to recycle.

I chose not to renew this service for multiple delivery issues, after the 2 year term. I received a bill for a term past the date I cancelled the service, and have since been trying to get AT&T to revise the final bill. After making promises to resolve the issue and send me a final bill, I am now getting collection calls! I would not recommend AT&T digital life, its not worth the headache of poor service, poor upgrades & updates, Technicians even told me that they’re the last to know when system upgrades are made and they are left struggling to fix customer issues to no avail. Sorry service. Buyer Beware!

AT&T Digital Life is an embarrassment to the name AT&T. In the two years I had the service we never once armed it. The main keypad to arm and disarm the system kept coming loose causing the main keypad to lose power. The system was also not hardwired into the home electrical system but rather plugged in to an outlet in the garage by a flimsy exposed two wire plug. We had repeated false alarms and failure messages. As with any AT&T product, calls to customer service take an hour of your life, the minutes of which will never be returned and no resolution to your problem will ever be achieved. The company is inept at every turn and signing on to a multi year contract should only be done if you have no further use for your money. #ATT, #ATTDigital Life

I WAS perfectly happy with the service until I tried to move. Because I had only 2 months until my contract was up, they wanted me to pay $597 for “new equipment”. I had already moved before with them and I never had this charge!!! They are doing it because my contract will be over soon and they aren’t loosing much if I just cancel my service! I’m highly dissatisfied with this kind of schemes. They lured me in with free this and free that at the beginning, then I moved and again, free this and that but once I was moving again and they noticed my contract was about to run out, boom $597 please!! Cancelling ALSO brings charges. Seriously, I WAS happy until now. No thank you!

Had installation about 3 years ago. The door pieces that activate the alarm\ sensors all fell off of my doors. When I called I had to pay for them to replace?? Wires running inside my house from the outside was poorly done in my living room, and garage. I ended up canceling a year ago. Since crime is up, and I already have equipment, mainly I need use of the cameras, I figured i would call and see if I can reactivate my service and they can fix the door sensors since the guy did not install them right. NOPE. I have to pay again for everything? If I could post pictures to my review it would stop anyone from wanting to receive this service. Go wireless!!!

I have never dealt with such total morons in my entire life in customer service. I asked over and over again to have a technician come and fix my system due to a DL battery replacement and a stripped screw they caused that I could not replace.

To make things even worse my system went off in the middle of the night with no intruder and they didn’t call me to ask me if I knew of the intrusion. This was the last straw for me.

Cancelled them immediately after getting no resolution.

I have had Digital Life for several years, they are great unless you need to speak to a person. First of all, our Passcode (in case the alarm is activated) had been changed. They could not tell us who changed it or when it was changed. The first CSR I spoke to was so rude and talked to me in such an unprofessional way, that I asked to be transferred to another CSR. Which she told me she could not do I would have to hang up and call back. I did call back but they are not very helpful. All they want you to do is go to the app and figure it out on your own. Will likely cancel this service and use a local company that can provide good customer service and support.

Last months they said that their security guard came 3 times and they bill me for that without any my knowing and they did not show or leave any notes or any evidences that proof that they came even. This is by far the worst security service I have ever had. In the first few months of having the service there was a long list of problems. Sensors not working randomly and a malfunctioning keypad were the the first problems. The app was the most annoying thing to deal with especially when i was away from my home. Technicians came out and fixed the problems and the problems would start again, one by one. I was tired of calling in trouble shooting and being worried if my house was secure enough. I stopped paying a couple months after the security system was completely offline. They gave me a call and waved one month and assured me that they would fix the problems. I paid it and not long after that I was back with a crappy service. But unfortunately being under contract I would have to pay a large termination fee to get out of it. Even though the service rarely worked. I spoke with a supervisor to see if we can come to some agreement of a lower price. No luck… The termination fee is outrageous especially for the worst service out there. The only fault of mine in this is that I put my trust in Digital Life. To secure our home and give us peace of mind. But the contract is all they care about. Not the customer. The contract is to give them peace of mind. To make sure they get paid. Not to make sure the home is always secured. Do not make the same mistake i did. Get a trusted service who make sure your home is always secure.

I have had Digital Life for over 2 years on a 2 year contract. There customer service is terrible. They don’t understand the problem I’ve explained to them. My inside siren went off line. I tried what they suggested I did and it didn’t work. They set an appointment for a tech to come out and replace it. 5 minutes before they were to arrive they cancelled. I rescheduled and the tech replaced the siren. A day later it went offline again. I rescheduled another service call. The tech never showed when he was supposed to. I called this was the 23rd of December. They said he got tied up. I cancelled the call and said I would reschedule. I called and now they want to charge me a $99.00 service call because now my contract is over. And by the way their service call center is in Jamaica. Going to another home security company and canceling them this week. Stay away from them.

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR DIGITAL LIFE!! Always had issues, ended up getting the Ring and canceling Digital Life. Thought everything was taken care of, paid $176.00 to cancel. Two months later, I get another bill for $180. I talked to about 5 agents ( kept getting transferred). I agreed to pay $60.00 to resolve everything. Now, 2 months later, I have a bill for $120.00 which they sent to collections. I have spoke to 4 agents today, all very hard to understand, with no resolution. My resolution is to pay the bill. I am so done with At&T- now I am going to cancel our cell phones!!!

In addition you have to pay ATT $12.00 per month for a separate telephone line to connect the system. DO YOURSELF A HUGE FAVOR AND DO NOT SIGN UP OR BUY THIS SERVICE, the equipment doesn’t work properly. When you try to cancel they tell you you can. The customer service rep reviewed when and how much the last payment will bE, I made the so called last payment, two months later I get a cancellation letter and late fee for the last two months. COMPLETELY DISGUSTED WITH AT&T / DIRECTV / DIGITAL LIFE!!! THEY WOULD NOT RECTIFY THE ISSUE AND i AM FORCED TO PAY THE BILL.

ATT digital life is awful. Even a large dog is better protection!

The customer service is just awful as is their equipment. The equipment constantly goes off line and when you call their customer service, which is almost impossible to understand, they are clueless – they have no idea how to remedy the problem. It’s like they are all new employees who’ve never answered any questions belore. These guys are awful. Awful.

I have tried to cancel my service only to get the run around when I speak with someone in customer service. When I spoke with an agent (I spoke to three…yes), I informed them of my intention to cancel service. Each time they asked me to verify my identity, the street address where service is provided and also my secret pass code. After they thank me for confirming the information, I was then informed that they could not help me and would need to transfer me to another department for further assistance. Each time, the sound quality of the call decreased. I now feel confident that I made the right decision in selecting another home security provider. Days earlier, I called to announce that I was intending to cancel the service because I had a new provider, the agent successfully sold me on the fact that I had 3 days after installation to cancel service and to callback afterwards to ensure my satisfaction with the new provider. BIG MISTAKE! I was offered a $15 discount off my monthly bill which escalated to $20 off when I didn’t bite at the initial counteroffer. I’ve learned that AT&T Digital Life has been price gouging me all this time. It is not a good feeling when you been a loyal customer for years. I finally was offered a call back from a person in Technical Support who empathized with my frustration. It should not be this difficult to cancel service.

Was a subscriber for 3 years. Bought all the product ($$) and continually had error messages – including several false alarm Co2’s in which the fire department came out to find a 0% reading, a note that my hall alarm siren didn’t work, continuously having to replace the key pad battery, etc. I was able to still use the system at a 75% function rate so I didn’t bother with these little details until some point this summer. Everything started crashing after they shipped me a replacement tablet and after setting my alarm one evening, it never operated again. I tried to reset online several times (through my app – the tablet was a useless paperweight since it still thought my system was armed) and after none of their service call times work with my schedule (let alone the threat that they’d charge me $$ if it wasn’t their “fault” for coming out), I cancelled this November after paying $65 month for an inoperable system. In my call with them I was told that if I stayed they’d drop my monthly rate to $45 (which told me I’ve been over paying for who knows how long) but I still cancelled. While I wasn’t charged a cancellation fee like others have been, I still had to pay for another full month for a system that doesn’t work. They know it doesn’t work (they’d call about once a month to let me know they can’t get a signal to/from my home!) and even after talking to a manager, I was unable to get a pro-ration on things… there was “nothing” she could do since I “should’ve cancelled the service at he beginning of the month” instead.

I had ADT for 5 years in my old home and should’ve stuck with a company that stood by their product/services, instead of bundling with AT&T thinking it was the smarter move. Their systems don’t talk (different apps, websites, log-ins, etc) and I there were no savings between my cell/uverse and digital life contracts.

DON’T GET THEIR SYSTEM. It’s not worth the hassle.

This is the worst service I’ve every tried to use. Payed for 2 years, almost never worked. Customer service’s slow, every time you call, you have to state the whole problem again. They don’t allow people to discuss issues in email. After several tries, I gave up, since I already had to waste my money, don’t want to waste so much of my time on this.

If I could use a negative number I would. Digital Life is pure garbage and it isn’t what you expect.
Point 1. My alarm went of and sounded for 15 minutes. Nothing happened. No phone call, no text just nothing. I turned off the alarm. The next day I get a text about a low battery on one of the sensors.

Point 2. I was also sold this system that they would send the police. However in Nevada, police don’t come out unless whatever set off the alarm is witnessed by at least 2 people. So my family is screwed there.

Finally, what killed it for me is I inadvertently discovered the system simply did not work. My wife reached home from work ahead of me. I came in about 30 minutes later. We enter through the garage most times and thus the keypad is in that door. Normal day. I was expected a delivery and went to the front door to check. Opened the door and the alarm sounded. Weird because my wife came in the house and I followed later. I didn’t bother checking the keypad because she was already inside. I’m shocked and so is she. We both checked the door and the alarm was still set. But did nothing when triggered.
Three separate calls, 3 tech visits and the system worked a few days then the same thing happened. When the offered to sell me a new system to resolve the issue, I have had enough.

Key pad issues since October 25 2018 still not resolved. Three appointments no showed to fix the problem. They can only say we’re sorry. Even when I asked What about my protection and my property protection? They just say we’re sorry! Poor poor poor service! I may have to bite the bullet and pay the cancellation fee and contact an attorney.

Got the basic system, never had a problem. I do get tired of replacing the batteries in the window sensors, but I believe most security systems are the same in that regard. Installation went well, and minor issues were handled very well over the phone.

Possibly the worst customer service ever and the system isn’t any better.. The cameras record when nothing is happening and when we have a delivery and they come to the rontdoor it never records.. I. Set up an appointment for a technician to come to our house he called on the phone and asked what the problem was. I tried my best to convey the problem and all I got out of it was I hear that a lot the cameras are super sensitive and nothing I can do about it..so they record all day and night when the wind blows but don’t record when someone comes to my door. Try your best to talk to someone in the USA that’s a joke. The only thing they are concerned with is getting their monthly payment on time..I would strongly recommend that no one waste their money on Digitallife.

    1. We were sold this system by an AT&T rep. that flat out lied to us. We were told repeatedly that there was NO contract . NO CONTRACT.
    2. After a year had to move in with my mother in law to help her out.
We had to cancel the service due to my mother in law not wanting it put in her home and probably wouldn’t know how to use it. ( she’s 78 )
    3. Now come the early termination bills. Apparently the contract that you sign is when it gets installed, that the installer only explains is for the equipment and installation. Nothing about a 2 year contract.
    4. Contacted customer service multiple times to dispute the charges and have had 2 customer service reps. agree that I was lied to by a representative of AT&T. NO resolution.
    5. A year later and I am still dealing with this. Issue was sent to a senior rep., who wanted copies of the “contact ” ( Installation forms that they have ) that are buried in boxes in a 10 x 20 storage unit .

AT&T HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH . ….

everything about this customer service is POOR. My appointment was cancelled 6 plus time, they miss calculated my payment, messing up my auto pay, so much more. Now the door lock is saying I need to replace batteries and just got the system less than 6 months ago. I do not recommend this system to anyone.

Unable to fix connection remotely , and cannot get a technican for 10 days. And then the only time available is 4 to 7 PM. Customer service over the phone is very frustrating, reading a script with a foreign accent is very difficult for the consumer, but ATT is saving money by using call centers outside the US. They are not focused on the consumer, just making the most revenue and getting by with weak customer service. They have the worst ratings of any major company with no changes being made. Someone in the C-Suite of ATT needs to take notice. I will be changing companies.

While the service was okay after my 2 year period was up I called to cancel service on 9-22-18. They tried to talk me into staying at reduced rate but said no. Realized on 10-3-18 service still active. Called again to cancel and asked why not as of 9-22. Said they could not do that. Only as of 10-3-18, You know calls are recorded, Terrible way to do business.

Their customer service over the phone is terrible. The people answering are poorly trained and seldom know how to answer very basic questions. It’s a lot like they’ve never been asked these questions before. They always have “system problems” as an excuse for taking so much time to answer these questions. The only saving grace is that their home technicians happen to be great. Stay away from this service and go to Vivint who is just so much better

the cameras were never working and I was always calling them. I canceled my service and was told it would be 293 and I could make payments. I call to make a payment and was told it was now 325 and that it would go up every month. They have horrible service and just want their money.

ATT digital should NOT be in the service of protecting people’s homes and families. My equipment has not worked one too many times for something unfortunate to happen in our home. I cancelled today, which leads to a whole other host of problems. Our thermostat is not working and incannotncontril the air in my home.

Horrible customer, worst of any business I’ve ever dealt with. I tried to cancel my contract 6 days before the actual end date, was told I’d have to pay a $27 early termination fee or call on the end date; they would not cancel then for an effective date 6 days in the future, so another annoying phone call with some person in the Philippines. When I did call back to cancel, a supervisor told me I’d have to pay a prorated final charge of $8.67 for the few days past the last billing cycle. About two weeks later I get a final bill for a full month, then in two weeks an email threatening collections if I don’t pay the full amount by the due date. When I called about this I was told they don’t prorate, by company policy. Strange the first supervisor wasn’t aware of this policy. So, I had to pay for almost a full month of a service I no longer have. The guy said he’s send me that policy, which may have never existed, until they wanted to get a little more money out of me. Whether a refund or a charge, any other company in my past dealings prorated. There are much better providers for home security; avoid this one like the plague.

I attempted to cancel my account and spent 20 minutes being questioned and trying to sell me to stay. I was told I had to answer a series of questions before it could be cancelled. When i refused to answer the questions and told him it was none of their business why I wanted to cancel I was refused to cancel till i gave them answers. I spent another 20 minutes asking for the call to be elevated and being put off unless i gave them myanswers. I am the customer and all Im required to do is tell you to cancel my service. Its nobody business why i cancelled or what brought me to Digital life in the first place. I will say after being treated that way I not only am cancelling my Digital life service but my Cell service and my Uverse tv service. I will never haveanything to do with AT&T

service was the worst from the installation team to the monthly service calls with equipment failure gave up the last year of my contract and did not even have the main board attached – they called me 6 months later and said they are not receiving a signal from my smoke alarm. Cancelled the service the last day of the contract – paid the total amount due. 2 months later get a bill and they tell me my service is suspended and charge me a restoration charge – sure there will be some kind of class action against them in a few years and will be the first in line. Do not consider this (digital life) with these guys…

Yeah, relatively they suck. They entered the home security / automation market without a long term strategy. Now they are just wading along, doing just enough to keep the lights on but not putting any real effort to refresh their products. For example, a wifi outlet is pretty common on the market, and sells for about $30-$35. Digital life offers a similar device for a whopping $150 + required $99 installation. So no, they don’t care if you go somewhere else for your home security automation, AT&T has bigger fish to fry.

I want to express my dissatisfaction with the service of my digital life service. I have had my service for almost 2 years paid my bill and have 2 more months on my contract. I was told at the beginning of my contract that if I moved my digital life would be moved with me for free. I just got off the phone with digital life to get my service moved to my new home and now they are saying I will have to pay over $500.00 to have it moved. This is false advertising and I will transfer my service to a more reputable security company. I would urge new customers to find a different security provider that honors there word and commitment!!!

I had digital life for 2 years and I was moving where I couldn’t bring it with me. There was 1 month left on the contract and I spoke to a representative on the phone August 2, 2018 and he said that I wouldn’t have any penalties or charges and that it was the final bill. September comes along and I get an email from Digital Life for a bill which was more than my monthly bill for having the service. Poor customer service and I was given false information over the phone. I wouldn’t recommend getting in a contract with digital life.
