Free In-Home Consultations

AT&T Digital Life offers free in-home consultations to interested consumers. This helps to ensure that the customer will purchase the equipment and service plan that is best for them and their particular home.

24/7 Professional Monitoring

Digital Life professionally monitors each of its home security systems around the clock, which means customers can rest assured that their home and family will be safe in the event of a break-in.

Free Standard Installations

AT&T Digital Life will perform all standard home security system installations for free. This cuts down on upfront costs and makes installing a security system more affordable for customers. Additionally, AT&T’s home security systems are compatible with other hardware, so customers who already have home security equipment can make a seamless transition to Digital Life.

Home Automation Services Available

If you’re interested in home automation services, AT&T offers smart locks, smart lights, smart thermostats, smart appliances, and garage controls. However, these features come at an additional cost.

Remote Access via Mobile App

Customers can access and control their home security system remotely with AT&T Digital Life’s mobile app, which available for iOS, Android, and Windows devices.

More Expensive than Some Competitors

Upon signing up with Digital Life, customers are required to put $39.99 to $99.99 down, depending on which package they’ve selected. Additionally, AT&T’s monthly monitoring fees range from $39.99 to $64.99 per month, which is higher than industry average. Minimum 2-Year Agreement

AT&T Digital Life’s minimum service agreement is 24 months, which means that customers will either be locked into a contract for at least two years or have to pay steep cancellation fees.

Early Cancellation Fees Apply

Customers do have the option to get out of their Digital Life contract—at a price. Early cancellation fees start at $640 and go up from there, depending on how much time you have left in your agreement.

    HORRIBLE! We installed Digital Life due to problems with packages being stolen. The first time one is taken, I try to look at the video. The installer didn’t turn it on – no video and it is MY FAULT. I paid for a service for two years and when I actually wanted to use it, I couldn’t. The only thing they could say was you should review your account. They have no problem taking my money, but can’t do anything else. I have stuck up for AT&T DIgital Life for two years, put off other companies try to get my business and this is what I get? I will purchase my own equipment and go with a

    Setting up bill pay for ATT digital life was extremely awkward. I was informed when I got the service that all my billing would be linked. Then it turns out they can’t link your cell phone and digital life together. After a few late payments with service charge I then needed to set up auto deduct from my credit card. After some time my credit card expired and the same thing happened again. I called to pay off my bill and cancel my service because it was a nightmare to pay the bill. Four months after my account was closed I started getting calls from a collection agency for a cancellation fee I was not informed about.

    The website is also extremely cumbersome to navigate. I did not like the service.

    I use Digital life everyday, the water sensors and the ability to check and see if my kids are at home from school and to make sure the garage door is closed at night. It’s awesome!

    Customer service is the worst I have ever seen!!! It took us 2 hours on the phone to get everything straightened up, they didn’t log us in the system right so our appointment never got made, they told us we could get everything and when they got to our house they said there wasn’t enough signal to work the system.. I get 4g LtE at my house… pathetic company!!! I do not recommend anyone to use this company!!!!!

    I’ve had the system for three months and say it’s been su average is an understatement. The software doesn’t work, the equipment isn’t great and the service techs are very unprofessional and criticized each other.
    AT&T is new in the security field and it shows. They need training on installation, monitoring and customer service
    All my electronics, including, land line, TV , internet and cell service are with AT&T and I’m totally satisfied with the lot!
    This one needs to go back to the bench for retooling!

    This has been the worst experience ever. I am very disappointed in atnt with this digital life. I waited for over 2 hours to speak to 7 different people which not one of them were able to help me or even get my information on the computer. They sure take my monthly payment but when I need them for something not 1 person was there . Not even a supervisor!!! Very unsatisfied customer….

    We installed digital life on 10/18/2016. From day one (literally day one) it has not worked properly. We have had techs work on it multiple times. We have spent hours on the phone. Finally, when we said enough is enough, a tech got approval to remove system at no fee, no cancellation charge, nothing. However, we have been lied to by ATT saying we had canceled the appointment and they have no such statement from a tech. They refused to do a 3-way call with tech. So they basically expect us to pay for security that does not work.

    Worst Customer Service Experience EVER. Very long waits (never got off phone in less than an hour, up to 3 hours at a time), disconnects, non-English speaking – difficult to understand because of accent and voice volume/connection.

    Really bad company to do business with. Customer service is the worst that I have seen from any company. Long waits on the phone, never less than one hour. Transferred a lot from one department to another without solution. I don’t think that the goal is to provide a solution, just to transfer you around until you become frustrated and hangup. Salesperson never sent a written contract. Quoted one monthly amount at the time of purchase. I tried multiple times to get a copy of the agreed upon monthly charges from them. Even went to a local AT&T store but still not able to get help. Never got it until the first bill came and it was DOUBLE what was quoted. On a scale of 1 to 10 their Customer Service is a NEGATIVE 10. When you tell them that you want to cancel your order they transfer your call to the Caribbean (and they told me it was Jamaica). There’s an apparent lack of honesty and transparency and no concern for customer satisfaction. If Customer Service is a low priority for this company, then why should we support this business? There are other companies who do want your business. Read the other reviews. They’re all similar. We all cannot be lying. THE BEST GIFT YOU CAN GIVE YOURSELF IS TO GO WITH ANOTHER COMPANY!

    When the agent at the Tacoma Mall store was selling this product, he assured us when we move there would be no problem switching our service over. What a lie that was, we called to change our service and we were first to our new address didn’t exist (47 year old house), then after we called again we were told either get a new contract (with only 6 months left on ours) or pay an early termination fee, we went to the store and had 2 different sales agents call AT&T Digital Life, were told they would cancel the service with no cancellation fee, waited for that to happen, they never honored this, when calling again the customer service rep saw the note about the cancellation no fee, forwarded us to the retention dept, and that Rep said that no such note existed, they could not waive the fee, and they refused to give me a copy of my signed contract or email stating acceptance of these terms, they have been the worse, the service was horrible most of the time the service was off line, it is still not working in my former house that they are trying to get us to pay for. I have cell phone service with them too and I am going to change to another carrier, AT&T has gotten so big that customer service is not a option. They have lost my Business, save yourself the trouble, mediocre monitoring service, horrible customer service.

    Apon installing the security system we couldn’t make them understand it wasn’t working properly! They then wanted to charge us a fee to come out & check it & reinstall the main component again! When my husband complained how it never worked since installation which was 25 days ago they finally said they would send someone out to reinspect it & install the main operating component with out charge! Guardian security never charged us for home check ups & always called us within 24 hours to see how the system was working!! What a mistake going with AT&T!! Don’t go with such a lousy customer service security system!

    I had a system installed because I had my car broken into in my garage my main concern was that I had a camera and the tech told me all items needed to installed I informed him that i would not be needing a door keypad he said fine then I can get anything else for the same price so said how about the sensor for fire I asked was there anything else I had to pay he said no Then I receive a bill for 215.00 showing past due immediately so I called and then they tell me its for all the additional items I asked for I asked for nothing and I literally want to cancel this and warn others to beware of this scam

    Off-line often, They took out a very expensive “Bluetooth” thermostat and replaced it with their “unit”. It is hard to set manually and for family members hooked on “IPhones” impossible to set or change. The constant “updating and outages” are NOT worth the savings on “set-up” cost of other systems. The system is very limited when it comes to surveillance; you would be better off putting in a separate surveillance system and save the money on their cameras.
    Also; the “arm home” function (which they call “stay” takes too long to arm. Then it makes two “beeps” that will wake most people.

    Continual problems accessing the system; I would not continue with this service except for the steep fees. I am considering filing a lawsuit against AT&T asking the court to declare it in breach of contract.

    The alarm system does not work with any regularity. My home was burglarized while my daughter was home and the cameras were not functioning and the window contacts were not functioning. With a cost of over $600/year, the one time you need the service it does not work. Do not use this service if you want to secure your home.

    When you call customer service, you will wait on hold for over 40 minutes to tell them your house has been robbed. Unacceptable.
