Free In-Home Consultations

AT&T Digital Life offers free in-home consultations to interested consumers. This helps to ensure that the customer will purchase the equipment and service plan that is best for them and their particular home.

24/7 Professional Monitoring

Digital Life professionally monitors each of its home security systems around the clock, which means customers can rest assured that their home and family will be safe in the event of a break-in.

Free Standard Installations

AT&T Digital Life will perform all standard home security system installations for free. This cuts down on upfront costs and makes installing a security system more affordable for customers. Additionally, AT&T’s home security systems are compatible with other hardware, so customers who already have home security equipment can make a seamless transition to Digital Life.

Home Automation Services Available

If you’re interested in home automation services, AT&T offers smart locks, smart lights, smart thermostats, smart appliances, and garage controls. However, these features come at an additional cost.

Remote Access via Mobile App

Customers can access and control their home security system remotely with AT&T Digital Life’s mobile app, which available for iOS, Android, and Windows devices.

More Expensive than Some Competitors

Upon signing up with Digital Life, customers are required to put $39.99 to $99.99 down, depending on which package they’ve selected. Additionally, AT&T’s monthly monitoring fees range from $39.99 to $64.99 per month, which is higher than industry average. Minimum 2-Year Agreement

AT&T Digital Life’s minimum service agreement is 24 months, which means that customers will either be locked into a contract for at least two years or have to pay steep cancellation fees.

Early Cancellation Fees Apply

Customers do have the option to get out of their Digital Life contract—at a price. Early cancellation fees start at $640 and go up from there, depending on how much time you have left in your agreement.

    Hasn`t worked in almost two months. 6th or 7th tech was out today. Was working when he left but two hours later was having the same problem. Has always taken 10 days to get one back out. I`m so tired of this.

    This has been the worst investment i have ever made. Access to review video is 50%. I have an iPad and after days of not getting access i call. I always get someone who knows that the problem is wide spread and gives me the pat answer ” we are working on it and an update to the software is forthcoming”. I pay on time i pay the entire bill and i get 50% of what was promised.

    DO NOT BUY AT&T DIGITAL LIFE. I DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO SAY, NOR DO YOU HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO READ ALL THE NEGATIVE ITEMS ABOUT DIGITAL LIFE. Their customer service is a nightmare. You are transferred numerous times and then they hang up on you. I was told MANY MANY times by MANY different people that after my 2 year contract was completed the equipment would still work even after the monitoring service was cancelled.( Which by the way I paid for that equipment.) For 2 years, each time I talked to someone I asked that question, they said yes the equipment would still work, just not be monitored.WRONG WRONG!! WRONG!!
    NOTHING WORKS and they will not send a Tech out since “I no longer have the service”. In addition, you are billed monthly in advance, and at time of disconnect, I was told I would NOT receive a refund for the number of days service paid for in advance that was not used. CAN YOU BELIEVE ALL THIS? Do not buy AT&T Digital Life.

    Sold the system-the digital pad has never worked correctly , called customer service . They said they had issues with the digital pad, said they were working on resolving the issue. Had been since it was installed . I asked what it would cost to have it changed out ( mind you they knew they had s big issue here) Analog key pad $69.00 and install visit $99.00. So they wanted $168.00 to fix their problem. Oh they offered me a one time credit of $10.00, told them to keep the credit and fix thier system. My contract runs out in December. I will cancel everything I have with them, this system is awful. We have a handicap child and I travel. No confidence at all in the system. Awful customer service. Do not purchase this . We went high end and have 3 cameras also . Do not purchase this system from AT and T . You will pay a high fee for Junk.

    This is absolutely THE WORST home security service I have ever had. Their technology is HORRIBLE. It is very, very, very unreliable. When it’s working properly it’s pretty good; but unfortunately it doesn’t work properly most of the time. The system is supposed to automatically upload snapshots (still shots) and videos to my account whenever the cameras detect motion., This doesn’t happen most of the time. So I don’t get to see what has happened in and aroind my house. Sometimes I don’t even get live feed – so if I try to tune in remotely I cannot see what is happening inside my house in real time. I have an old frozen snapshot which was taken many hours before I tuned in. When you contact service and report the problems they consistently tell you: “We are updating the software” or “the system is undergoing maintenance” or something like that. This is clearly a bold face lie which the management team has instructed the poorly- trained telephone reps to say whenever there are tech complaints. They constantly claim they are updating the system and yet the system never, ever, ever, ever gets any better!!! I cannot wait until my 2 year contract has expired so I can switch to a real home security system. If you are considering AT&T Digital Life for your home security needs, DON’T DO IT!!!! You will be wasting your time and money.

    I have had Digital life for over 3 years. Quick installation, error free, NO ISSUES whatsoever. Never had any billing issues. Very shocking to see all the negative reviews. I LOVE the app, I can always check on things when I’m not at home.

    This service is a waste of time. The technician put holes in my walls with wires showing. It looks unprofessional! Very expensive and not worth it. They are not a 24 monitored company. When you call it takes them well over an hour to answer the phones. I even sat at AT&T with a sales rep who sat on the phone for 1 hr and 20 mins! He even chewed them out!

    The app barely works. Customer service is poor. My cameras are set to the highest sensitivity & still did not record someone breaking into my vehicle in my driveway. Will be cancelling service soon as contract is up

    Bad equipment. Half the time it isn’t inoperative. They came out and spent hours trying to get it to work. Told us our baby monitor was interfering with it and we needed to turn it off..really?? We moved and needed to have it installed st the new house. I had a Friday off from work for a holiday, had them scheduled to come and two days before called to tell me they had cancelled my appointment. Claimed I had. They couldn’t schedule anyone else to come out. The best part is we are paying for a home security service for a house we don’t live at anymore. And we have a whole year left on this lousy contract.

    Been with Digital Life for 4 years, price consistent at 43.00, system works, automatically updates, and let’s you know when a sensor battery needs replaced and which sensor needs it. Easy system, not complicated at all, I’m not a tech kind of person but can figure out phone app easily enough. Never had an issue except one time ( I ) unhooked the ether net cable to system for about week accidentally, called att on a sunday night cause system wouldn’t arm, they answered and problem was solved. It’s a great security system here in Texas, no complaints.

    I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEIR SERVICE. IS REALLY BAD. WHEN I SIGEND UP WITH THEM I TOLD THEM THAT IN 9 MONTHS I WILL BE MOVING THE SERVICE TO A NEW ADDRESS I WAS TOLD NO PROBLEM. LONG STORY SHORT BEFORE I MOVED I CALLED THEM TO LET THEM KNOW THAT UNDER THE NEW LEASE I COULDNT HAVE ANY INSTALLATION. THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY COULDNT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT I REQUESTED TO CANCEL THE SERVICE EFFECTIVE AS 03/01/17. I GOT A PAST DUE EMAIL FROM ATT&T TODAY 04/11/2017. THIS TELLS ME THAT THEY NEVER CANCEL THE SERVICE. I AM CURRENTLY ON THE PHONE WITH THEM AND THEY ARE MAKING ME PAY FOR SOMETHING THAT THEY MESS UP. THIS IS UNJUSTICE. PEOPLE I DO NOT RECOMMED THIS COMPANY AT ALL. I MOVED THE COMPANIES PHONE TO ANOTHER PROVIDER. I REGRET BEING A CUSTOMER OF THEIRS DIDGITAL LIFE IS STILLING MONEY FROM ME. IS NOT FAIR THAT I HAVE TO PAY FOR AN INTERNAL MISTAKE.

    Put a Digital Life system in, including a water monitor and water shut-off. Two months later, we got notified of a water issue in our finished basement while sitting on the beach in the Caribbean. We were able to let a neighbor in to check out the situation by opening the garage door and unlocking the inner door remotely. By being able to turn off the water within a minute of being notified saved us the unimaginable fate of coming home to find our basement filled with water.

    We have had no installation problems, the digital app works great, it’s easy to use. We have sometimes opened a door without turning off the system and a representative calls within 30 seconds.

    I am surprised by the poor ratings and wonder if the installation crew skills vary from location to location around the country. I would have given a “10” rating, but this morning, for the first time, our intruder alarm went off for no reason. No notification was sent to our phones, so unsure of what went on there……..

    Terrible. Att assured us that our two small cats won’t activate alarm.turns to be complete lie. They sent tech who drilled more holes ,made mess and rearranged some of the sensors. Did nothing. They wanted to charge us $$$ to cancel service we just couldn’t use. Finally our contract expired we cancelled same day. App is useless,user interface is terrible, if you considering att digital life…run and don’t look back.

    I can’t transfer my services because I am not the primary account holder. I am on the account and have all of the information required to move services. Also, last month, my system was not functioning properly. I called customerservice and spent 45 minutes on the phone. They ended up sending out a service technician and charged me $100. All I had to do was change passcode to fix issue which could have been done via phone. We will not be renewing service with them when our contract is up.

    Absolutely the worst experience I have had with ATT. I have used their wireless and Uverse for 20 years but my experience with digital life is so horrible I think I will take my wireless and cable business somewhere else as well. I had a terrible time trying to find the CS number and when I tried to pay them they said they terminated my contract. I didn’t get one day use from the system because the modem was too slow and the digital life people don’t communicate with the Uverse people. The guy who installed the equipment said it could be returned and left the boxes but then CS said we bought it. No one has the same answer for anything. I got billed $1,200 for a system I have never used. I sent a letter to the company with no response except from a debt collector.

    The system is always break down. We are now dealing with 3rd technician to come on site to review and resolve our issue with my-digital life security by AT&T. Secondly, the Apps is not intuitive but rather confusing and difficult to manage. Main issue has always been sensor not correctly installed by technician and too frequent “false-alarm” due to online settings – often not set off by customer. If this issue does not resolved, this time we’re cutting the cord off.

    AT&T Digital Life is just a big scam to get people to sign a contract for 2 years. I unfortunately have this so called security service at my second home . The equipment is always faulty and i have to drop everything, drive down, sit there and wait until they show up to fix the problem or replace a faulty piece.
    They do not let you out of the 2 year contract because they can fix it. Customer service just gives you the run around does absolutely nothing to help you. Meanwhile my home has no security system working 24hrs a day.
