    ATT digital should NOT be in the service of protecting people’s homes and families. My equipment has not worked one too many times for something unfortunate to happen in our home.     AT& T digital Life was the worst security system I ever purchased. There customer service will lie to you and then when you want to cancel they hit you with the cancellation fee. The service from the moment of installation was a nightmare. First, was the security door lock which locked my entire family out of home due to the lock not working properly,. approximately two days after it was installed. Called customer service there was nothing they could do to get us access to home,so they informed us to contact lock smith and that they would reimburse us. So we did call lock smith and the next day they inform us they would not reimburse us. I wanted to cancel service at this point when they informed me that I would be subject to an early cancellation fee. So, I tried to work with them and they came out a changed the lock on the door, which still never worked properly. Secondly we notice that the system would read not arming. So we called again and they told us nothing was wrong we just had to pull the panel box off the wall and it would reset. The last and final problem was when we walked in the house and we failed to disarm the system. We noticed an hour later that we did not disarm the system and that the system never went off. Again we called and AT&T keeps lying could do nothing and threatens with early cancellation fees. The camera does not record, and a thief can completely burglarize your home and AT&T will still keep charging you for a system that does not work at all. So, they can charge me for the early cancellation fee, I will see them in court because I am the consumer and nobody should have to pay for a security system that absolutely does not work.     Terrible. I am truly kicking myself for getting signed into this terrible 2 YEAR contract I cannot get out of! The camera rarely works like it is supposed to. I go out of town and items are left on my porch, the camera does not record when or who placed things on it. I call to find out why, wait on hold, get transferred twice. Then I am told to send a technician out I will have to pay a $99 fee—what? I am already paying $55. a month.

    The AT&T store in Bastrop, Texas talked me into getting this service because it wouldn’t cost me anything and actually would lower my current AT&T bill by $35. She even wrote it down. Well, they came and installed it, the window security tabs from day one never stayed in the windows, the back door sensor never worked, and the best part of all, after the installation workers left, I discovered that they hung a huge box in the middle of the wall in my daughter’s bedroom . Behind the box is a huge hole that they drilled into my Sheetrock to install it, then about 30 days later I get a bill for $95. I immediately called and told her that I wasn’t supposed to pay anything fir the service that it was to be bundled into my other AT&T services and actually lower my bill by $30. When I told her that, she said they gave you the wrong information because that service can’t be bundled in with the other services and that I would be getting a bill for the service. AT&T is a rip off. Now they want me to pay $795 to cancel the service when they misrepresented the service and they damaged my wall!!!!

    Worst costomer service . Cheap equipment brakes and good luck getting it fixed. Spent hours on the phone finally tired to cancel and they would just transfer or hang up. The last time they actually said they had no recorded of any of my five accounts

    I just called, had an online chat, and called a retail location to find out information about AT&T Digital Life services.

    Online Chat: Gave me basic information but answers varied from the agent I spoke with
    Retail Location: Representative told me that AT&T no longer supports Digital Life services
    Call Agent: Couldn’t answer half my questions properly. I had to repeat my questions with further explanation.

    Every person I contacted couldn’t give me a straight answer, so I will be going with some other company that is well known for home security services.

    his time I was connected to and overseas customer service who place me on hold. Then after 35 minutes this suddenly a dial tone. Thanks ATT Digital LIFE you SOB”S for some your terrible service! have spent $85. for a sign and flyers I plan on driving and parking in front of the ATT stores for a couple of months and calling the local television station and show the world how ATT takes care of the Disable Vets since we represent a large portion other customer base here in Texas and throughout the United States. Sickening! I bet they are owned by the Russians I know they helpmeet the current president elected too??.

    I signed on for a 2-year contract….we moved and I was told that I “had” to keep the service for the rest of the contract period, That time would be up Nov. 4, 2017. ATT is now saying that because we moved the contract period was automatically extended and I cannot disconnect the service without a cancellation charge. I was NOT told about this….they said that I signed something but they cannot produce the signed papers? Terrible customer service and I’ve been a loyal customer to ATT. Shows you that the loyalty is always one-sided!!

    I’ve had the AT&T system for approximately 2 years. In brief, the installation was a combo
    horror/comedy show that lasted 9 dos.
    My latest experience is that i returned home amid trying to surface from hurricane Irma’s
    damage to find my alarm screaming that the battery needed to be replaced. The screaming
    continued, despite punching the # sign that promises since…..for five full days.
    Yesterday I replaced the battery and the screaming continues.
    I’ve run the suggested auto assessment to determine that my system is in good order but the screaming continues.
    There are many other experiences I could relate here but please read these reviews carefully and escort any AT&T rep to the door. You can not reach a live person. This is worthless!

    The worst alarm company EVER! Best to never use them and select another company who can keep an appointment. I can’t even get past the initial set up. They think it’s okay to have you wait for two weeks for an appt, then not show up. When you call they do not have a reason for not showing up, they just say we can reschedule you for the soonest appt which is a month later.

    DO NOT get digital life! It sucks and the customer service sucks as well. They have people in foreign countries handling your account issues and they cannot understand a thing you are saying. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

    Have the whole system. This is the biggest turd ever. Lost camera signal in May and it took 7 weeks for an appointment. On this appointment the technician showed up 2 hours early and entered my home with my minor daughter home alone. They were unable to repair at that time because they said it was my internet (which I had no issues). I was told to call a number that was given to me by the technician after the internet company came out and he’d log into the DLC. Well after multiple calls and voicemails to that number we were never able to speak with anyone. So here we go again. Had to schedule another service call which was 8 weeks later for September 18th between the hours of 4-7. At 8 pm I called to find out the status and was told that the technician would be there at 9 pm. I spent 2 1/2 hours on the phone being transferred 15 times and being treated like a piece of crap. I would really like this equipment out of my home. I was told I’d have to pay a fee of about 500 for breaking the contract. As far as I’m concerned AT&T broke the contract 4 months ago. I have contacted the local news about this situation and I’m not taking this lightly.

    1. Irresponsible customer service.
    2. Internally Customer Service, Billing, Field Support and Technical support has no internal communication, everyone works in silos.
    3. No accountability, we have serious issue, alarm is not working, their current wait timelines 30 days to setup an appointment, how can you trust this type of company that manage or protect your house.

    I highly recommend even if their service is free, to use it.

    We loved the service when we had it because of the ease of controlling everything on our cell phones. With that being said, theres plenty of other companies that this is accessible through as well. However the customer service at Digital Life is absolutely awful. You will be on hold for a while before you finally get through to an agent (so be prepared for that.) When we called to cancel (because we moved out of state), they were impossible to deal with. None of the people know what the heck they were doing. One person would say one thing and then we’d get a letter or email stating another. It went two months before we finally got so frustrated with the whole process and gave in. We will NOT be returning as a customer with them in the future and would not recommend anyone else to do so. Choose wisely, especially if you want an actual company who cares about their customers and the issues.

    The system never worked correctly since it was installed. They keep sending out repairman only for another component to fail the following mouth. The key pad just beeps constantly till I unplugged it. Can’t cancel the service because of the contract. I have AT&T for everything, phone, tv and internet. Once the contracts are up I am leaving and never coming back. The customer service sucks even if your a “valued customer”. Stay away!

    I have had nothing but problems with the equipment since installed. I have had to call them back four times and the equipment still do not work. My husband has had to fix the equipment that was installed improperly and add batteries. Very poor work. The alarm has gone off and we have not had a response from the monitoring service and this had all been in the first two weeks of becoming a new Digital Life customer. I very much regret this choice

    So we’ve had this service for 14 months now. Many many issues! Cameras not working, cheap sensors falling off the windows, the keypad alarm going off and not being able to turn it off, alarm set off at night and no one ever called to check if there was a breakin. Tonight we had a fire in our kitchen – lots of smoke. I realized after getting everything settled that our smoke alarm never went off. WTH! This is the last straw! Do not get this service!!!

    First, the customer service people were GREAT! But everything else sucks. They couldn’t install my garage door monitor, but still charged me. Every time I move my service I have to renew/restart my contract! (Ridiculous) I moved my account, but the accounts apparently don’t merge, so September 1st I get a letter from a credit agency stating I owe Digital Life $50, when actually they owe me $55 for over charging for the garage door monitor. The claim they have been trying to contact me?! Lol Umm… Try my new address. Also they tell you to leave your old equipment, so do I get a referral fee when it’s activated? Also, they were unwilling to waive my cancellation fees, even though I moved two states away, and my apartment complex didn’t allow installation of their product.

    This has to be the worst of all “security” systems. It does not work as promised. A tree fell right in front of camera and it was not recorded. When we found out it would not work the way we had been told it would, they refused to take it out without the huge fee. The cameras record only if movement is caught within 20 feet. We were not told this. The device log does not record all occurences either. Do not buy this inept totally useless system.

    Never do business with them. Needed to move service to a new location. They tell you, the service can be moved with you. They fail to tell you that they require you to start all over. Credit check, a new 2 year service agreement because your breaking your current contract. Your not asking to get out of your contract, just move to new location. If you don’t want to sign a new 2 year contract they require you to pay the penalty few of early contract termination. Now, I wasn’t requesting to get out of contract. I wanted to continue contract but at my new location. So if you don’t take the new 2 year lease you have to pay early termination fee or get this, keep current contract, make monthly payments but your not receiving the security service. Worse company ever. I will focus on getting the word out about the way they conduct business.

    Signing up with AT&T Digital Life was a huge mistake. I think they have gotten too big that they don’t value the individual customer, and count on the contract to lock in their revenue. I would be ashamed if I was the CEO. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH AT&T DIGITAL LIFE. You have been warned. Very poor service from the beginning and throughout. System never functioned properly. Never felt secure. I ended up buying 10 cameras and created my own surveillance system to supplement the weakness of AT&T Digital Life. I will never of business with them again. Home security is too important to trust with a company like AT&T Digital Life. They don’t seem to understand that, and are more concerned about their payments.

    I called in early July 2017 to inform AT&T Digital Life that we were moving, and requested to cancel service as of July 24, 2017. There was no mention of an early cancellation fee, or any other charges. On July 12, 2017, I came home from work to find my service disconnected. I called AT&T Digital Life, and they admitted that someone in error had ordered the cancellation early. I had to go through another credit check in order to have my service reinstated until July 24th.

    On August 5, 2017, I received a bill for $139.91, which included a past due balance that had already been paid. I called AT&T Digital Life on August 5, 2017, and was on hold for 45 minutes. When a representative finally answered the phone, I was told that they had no record of me calling to cancel service, and they would cancel service effective August 5, but could not retroactively cancel service as of July 24th, as I had previously requested – in other words, credit my account. I would incur an early disconnection fee of $116.00. Effectively, they are gauging customers for service they are not providing.

    Not only is their CUSTOMER SERVICE VERY POOR, but they are gauging customers, and fundamentally conducting dishonest business. VERY DISHONEST. I WOULD NOT recommend AT&T Digital Life.

    I would call it “InSecurity Service”. It’s the worst it could happen to a family. The alarm goes often off in the middle of the night and nobody ever call to check on us. Ever!!
    I actually called once and waited on the phone for way too long. I could have die many times before someone picked up the phone on the other end!!
    The cameras not always work. Sometime they do often they don’t record and I did have 2 incidents (right in front of the camera) where nothing was recorded. A stolen bike and a break into my car. I have to add a very lousy customer service to finish this review. Its quite upsetting to not even be able to be free to change for “insecurity service” Digital life provide. It’s unbelievable!!

    The salesperson made statements that were not accurate. When I tried to get the contract cancellation fees waived, I was told to revisit the salesperson, and between him and the store manager the fees could be waived- AGAIN not accurate. The outside cameras don’t work unless there is some kind of lighting and we live in the country, where the only outside lighting we have are the stars. If I wanted to scare trespassers/thieves away, I wouldn’t need cameras if I installed 500 watt outside lighting. I wouldn’t recommend this system to my enemy. Stay away from this system and consider another security company.

    I have called AT&T service since April trying to reduce our Digital Life plan. Every time I call, I am told it will be taken care of. It is now nearly September and I am still dealing with it. I am going to cancel and pay the fee because that is less of a hassle than dealing with their customer service department.

    The worst customer service possible. We have the system In our old house and have been trying to move service for over a week. I’ve spent up to an hour and 40 minutes at one time on hold, finally giving up hanging up. Multiple times after reaching a rep, I was told they would call me within 2 business days. That never happened. I was also told I would need to do another credit check to move service. I’m already a known customer, why would you need to check my credit again!?!? Absolutely horrible customer service. If I wasn’t already locked into a contract, I would scrap this system all together. I’m actually considering doing that anyway. It would be worth the money to get away from this all. The most ridiculous part about it, my wife is an AT&T Employee!!! You would think we could get somewhere being an employee of the company. If AT&T employees can’t get customer service help at their own company, how is anyone else supposed to get any attention?

    I had a Digital life System installed earlier this year and have trouble with the Siren and keypad constantly going “Offline” after several Technicians coming to the house, I was told that the installation was wrong, this is from a company that advertises a “Professional Installation” obviously it isn’t otherwise it wouldn’t be installed wrongly, does anyone at Digital life care, No of course they don’t.
    The HQ put me in touch with a so called manager who I wont name from Atlanta, she now ignores my emails to come and take the system out and release me from the Two year contact I committed too, yet they still take the $40 a month from me for a system that is installed incorrectly and doesn’t work, otherwise I have to pay over $600 to get out of the contract.

    PLEASE DO NOT HAVE DIGITAL LIFE installed in your home, be WARNED!!!

    You are promised one thing then they subcontract out the service and the work is substandard at best. You’ll wait for weeks for correction and on hold continuously repeating yourself and nothing getting resolved. I wish I never go involved!

    NEVER USE. Worst company EVER. Hold times are always some of the longest I witness! Equipment is always failing. I have had over 12 service calls within one year for failing equipment. The one time I needed to retrieve video due to an issue at my house, the video was not available due to a software update. The thermostat breaks about every two months. The alarm gives false alarms waking my family at the most opportune times, like in the middle of the night on Christmas Eve. Their customer service promises discounts but they never show up on the bills. Specifically I have a major problem with Amoshane in Jamaica who is one of the worst customer service agents I have ever had to deal with. All of them are very poor, but this guy is worse than the representative who actually cursed at me. Never in my life have I experienced such inept and rude service.

    After calling more than three times to complain that the install was awful they also had the service address wrong. They never installed the smoke alarm. At least with other companies I can use the alarm after it is cut off. They want me to pay a cancellation fee and the alarm is useless, not unlike the service you will get from them.

    We have had horrible issues since the system was installed, multiple sensors would fail at the same time and tech support couldn’t figure it out. Most of the time the security alarm wouldn’t activate due to issues with various sensors. I called to cancel service since we were moving out of state and my average wait time was 90+ minutes for 3 days in a row. Absolutely horrible customer service! We are so glad to finally stop wasting our money on a sub-par home convenience system- this is definitely not a home security system since it barely works!

    Att Digital Life system is worst system ever created. They have the worst customer service and monitoring system in the industry. I unplugged my system for 1 week and no one ever contacted me to find out why they are not receiving feedback from my system. My family could have been in danger, and no one ever called. Needless to say, I terminated my contract due to improper monitoring of my system and I am disputing the early termination fee.

    DON”T BUY THIS SERVICE! My daughter’s installation appointment for Friday was cancelled because I did not confirm text messages/telephone voice messages that i NEVER received! I got.exactly one call (the voicemail was garbled) and one e-mail ceremonially welcoming me and lauding my forthcoming appointment with no mention made that I needed to confirm. With children in college, my phone is ALWAYS handy and NO messages go unseen. We moved her in on Friday night and my daughter lives alone and NEEDS this service. She has NO carbon monoxide protection and NO security.. I called again tonight to try to get help and did not YELL or SWEAR, and they hung up on me! What kind of shoddy customer service is that? I was asking for help! I have NEVER, EVER been treated like that. They were UNAPOLOGETIC and not worthy of my business. Unfortunately, my hands are tied and I am in a contract. I have NO voice and no one cared enough to work overtime to keep my daughter safe or take any steps out of their beaten path to make me a satisfied customer and do the RIGHT thing. If I can find anything else, I will get out of this contract. even if I have to retain an attorney or contact a local TV station. I did not pay for this service for my entertainment but for my daughters safety! I am currently WAITING, WAITING for her rescheduled install more than two weeks away from the original and my child is NOT SAFE!

    I was misled up front on the cost.

    The installation was a mess. Smoke detector is supposed to be 1’ from the ceiling – it was 4’ down. Glass break sensor placed in the LR where it couldn’t be missed instead of locating behind something. Both had to be moved, leaving holes in the wall that I had to repair. He installed the door lock. After he left, the door couldn’t be locked – not even manually! I had to change out the striker plate to fix – couldn’t wait a week for them to come back..

    The original outdoor camera went off line for hours every day. They finally replaced it – this one only goes off line a few times a week.

    The central control unit sometimes sends out a loud alarm, even in the middle of the night. The support center says it’s due to radio interference. They said they’d send a tech with a “spectrum analyzer” to check it out. The tech arrived and said he couldn’t do anything without a spectrum analyzer and they weren’t allowed to have them. They’ve been here about a dozen times and blamed a remote thermometer located outside. I brought it in and placed it next to the unit and didn’t get an alarm for a week. They are grasping at straws.

    IMO, the most serious issue: the system is not pro-actively monitored. Your system can stop working for weeks while you’re away and they won’t notice. If you call them, they can see that it’s unavailable and maybe see a reason why but it’s up to you to call them to report the problem.

    Terrible customer service. On hold for over 20 minutes every time you call to talk to someone. When you do they read from a script and won’t deviate from the script. If you ask to speak to someone else, it’s the same script. Waited over a month to get service on a move and I kept calling back because nobody called me. Was stuck and couldn’t cancel because of early termination fee. Then they put me on another 24 month service contract. I can’t win – I can’t believe I am stuck with them!!!!! Nobody wants to help you.

    The product is too bulky and tear up your walls. Technician couldn’t get the sensors right and was there all day. He left without getting it right. We had to call and talk to a technician who helped us and my husband figured that there was an extra sensor that was not ours and needed to inactivate so we can put our alarm on. Where did this sensor come from?

    Equipment not compatible with our a.c. unit and our garage door opener, we gave called to get system removed but they kept sending a tech out, tech said that there system is not compatible with our a.c. unit or garage door opener, it voided our warranty on our a.c. unit, now they say we own 800 dollars constellation fee, we have to change batteries in our thermostat ever two days, so we have decided to get a lawyer to handle this cause they want hear what we have to say, they suck, we are going back to back to vivant. We was jyst trying to consolidate all our accounts with at&t and direct tv internet all in one bill, wrong thing to do now I can’t up grade my cell phone until we pay 800 dollars cancellation fee

    CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEIR PROGRAM SHOULD BE TRASHED. BILLING ME FOR ANOTHER MONTH AND I SOLD MY HOUSE PREVIOUS MONTH, EVEN AFTER I CANCELLED MY CONTRACT AFTER 2 YEARS AND 4 MONTHS.     Horrible….think again if you believe that your system is monitoring for fire….nope you have to purchase another pkg. for that. I’m not sure if I believe that the police are, yet I’m paying for it. Tried to cancel and there is a crazy fee. I am not confident at all that if something were to happen that this system would help.

    Camera rarely picked anything up or picked up every minute for hours on end, technician came out several times. Reduced field so that the trees wouldn’t set it off, the field of motion was so small it couldn’t even pick up someone walking in the yard.
    Every vacation we took there always seemed to be something that would take it offline. They expected me to have my senior citizen neighbor go in and try to find the equipment to hit the reset.
    Stopped recording a man getting out his car in my driveway, stopped recording for 15 minutes until he was leaving my driveway.
    We moved and disconnected the wifi, they called 2 weeks later saying they weren’t getting a signal from our equipment.
    Won’t let us out of the contract due to poor equipment and service. Majority of the time I try to pay my bill the app is not working properly and if you call they charge a fee to pay by phone. Horrible service all the way around. STAY AWAY!

    Faulty installation, doors sensors never stay in place. Not worth the price. Poor customer service not knowledgeable of their product to answer questions in regard to billing. Enough to make me cancel all other att services and I have had their cell phone service for over 20 years! Do not get alarm system with this company in less you like paying a lot of money for a useless alarm.

    I was lied to and mislead about the cost of this system when I signed up for AT&T internet, telephone and DirecTV. I was repeated told this was a part of my services package for a total monthly charge of $155 for the first 2 years. That’s an outright lie; it’s separate billing and is a separate and very expensive charge at $59.97/month.

    CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! I NEED TO TRANSFER SERVICES TO MY NEW PLACE AND I GET TRANSFERRED TO THREE DIFFERENT PEOPLE (HAVING TO EXPLAIN MYSELF TO EACH PERSON) ONLY FOR THE LAST AGENT TO TELL ME THEYLL PUT THE REQUEST IN AND SOMEONE COULD CALL BACK ANYWHERE BETWEEN 48-72 HOURS TO SET UP THE REQUEST. I AM A 15+ YEARS ATT CUSTOMER AND DIGITAL LIFE IS BY FAR THE WORST WHEN IT COMES TO CUSTOMER SERVICE.

    If your planning on getting this service look somewhere else.
    In February of 2015 I contacted for this service ever since I got my camera has never worked more then 3 days consecutively
    . I had the service department out at least 15 times to no avail still doesn’t work. This week I set up another service call for today Friday the 28th. . Yesterday they told me to make sure I was home on Friday between 8am and 12pm today they called me and said they cancelled my appointment because they couldn’t make it, After complaining they set another for between1 and 4 pm ( let’s see if they show up) then I get a phone call say I need a $99.00 co pay for a camera that never worked .

    Let’s talk about customer service how many times can a customer get hanged up on ? It happens a lot the warning sign is I’ll transfer you yea right .

    I never write reviews, but this time wanted to share what I believe is the most unprofessional and dishonest customer service I experienced ever. I was (and apparently still am) a Digital Life customer for about two years. We have moved to the new house with hope that Digital Life will be relocated as well. Unfortunately there is no ATT signal in that area which was confirmed by AT&T. We canceled the service 6 months ago and tried to close the account. Tried and tried. Closed it two times already, however, the account was reactivated again and again. Long story short, we are on the third round trying to cancel the account going through multiple departments, hours of phone calls and promises that “this is your final bill”. I feel it will never end and we will be forced to pay forever for the service that does not exist. And good luck to anyone who tries to find a representative who can actually talk about the subject and does not just read the scripts.

    Don’t have access to change info, service always report errors. When alarm goes off it takes too much time for company to call. Customer services lines always busy hold wait over 20 minutes. If an emergency occurs the alarm that goes off is where you better be prepared because this company will not respond in a timely manner.
