Safe Streets USA is an authorized ADT monitoring provider. They offer home security services in 33 states and have physical locations is North Carolina, Washington, Idaho, Utah, and Arizona. Safe Streets is not available in the following states: AK, HI, KS, KY, MA, ME, MO, MT, ND, NE, NH, OH, RI, SD, VT, WI, WY. The company’s equipment is installed with a technician (no DIY installation available).

All Safe Streets USA packages require professional installation. Depending on which package you select, installation costs anywhere from $99-$199.

The cheapest monitoring package that Safe Streets offers is $36.99/month. A basic home security package from other companies is a lot less expensive. Even for the company’s most expensive package ($62.99/month), a lot of the equipment that you would want in a home automation system isn’t included and has to be purchased separately. Overall, Safe Streets is more expensive than our top-rated home security companies. Additionally, customers can only monitor their home with the ADT Pulse Voice App if they purchase a system that is over $50 monthly.

Cancellation Policy

Furthermore, if customers want to cancel their home security subscription before the contract has expired, they are required to contact customer service and pay an early termination fee (75% of the remaining balance), which can result in thousands of dollars.

ADT has a Mover’s Package Guarantee – if you have used their service for two years and your account is in good standing, you can move your home monitoring package to your new home. However, you must then sign a new 36-month agreement.

    They installed an ADT security system that never worked properly. Despite my complaints they never fixed the issue and continually wanted to send out a tech, at my expense of course, even though their tech never installed the system properly in the first place. I repeat, it NEVER WORKED.

    In fairness to the company upon first contact my girlfriend and I were very pleased with the installation and setup of our system. The people we have interacted with in person are top notch and don’t deserve to be associated with the conduct of Safe Streets USA and ADT as a whole.

    Once the ink dries on your contract you will find any interaction with either company to be convoluted and confusing. Leaving you equal parts unsatisfied and frustrated. It took us a full month to have a problem resolved with our panel that the tech that came on site explained could have been handled over the phone. Every contact leaves you getting bounced between the two companies that only unite in their apathetic approach to dealing with there customers.

    The final straw in our short story comes with the sale of our house. We informed both companies that we will need to break our contact as we do not have a location where the system is allowable and our buyer is not interested in taking over the contract. Not looking for a complete forgiveness but only to come to a fair resolution for both parties involved. Both companies came back with a figure over 1,000 dollars to terminate the contract. When my girlfriend voice her concern with that number she was meet with a dead-end and no offer of solution aside from paying or transfer. I myself reach out after her fruitless attempts only to share in the same frustration. The story is as follows Safe Street Blames ADT and ADT clams to have no control over their contractors. So as a young couple just starting out we face spending over $1000 on …………..well nothing! The company we pay to watch over us is willing to take money for us for no service rendered contact or not feels like being taken advantage of. Just say it out loud. YOU GIVE ME 1000 DOLLARS AND IN RETURN I WILL LET YOU OUT OF A CONTRACT. FOR A SERVICE YOU NO LONGER NEED AND WILL NOT BE USEING. THANK YOU for calling!

    In closing I know a contract was signed, but in a time where you can buy everything on the internet at cut throat prices, customer service should be priority one of companies trying to stay relevant. Safe Streets USA and ADT fall far short in my experience. My advice to anyone looking for an alarm system is to look elsewhere. The only reason these companies can employ such strong arm tactics and contracts that only serve themselves is because we as consumers allow it. Somewhere out there is a simple to install highly effective system in which you are not locked in to a long term contract just to have the basic comfort of security. I would go as far as to settle for a company that cares more about their customer base than sales numbers. We will most likely lose our money in this one. I only hope to save whoever takes the time to read this review the same fate. If you life changes in the three years don’t expect these companies to be on your side.

    HORRIBLE !! They came to install ADT PULSE and the tech SHUT OFF our AUDIABLE alarm! AND ADDED a DELAY. It took 5 mins before the system registered that the alarm had been tripped!! We have been trying for 3 hours to try to get them to help us and NOTHING! they say they can’t help us!!??? WTH? YOUR tech messed it up, and now you expect us to wait till tues.4 DAYS!!! How about make the person who messed it up come out and fix it??? or send someone else to fix it correctly! BEYOND ANGRY. Now this tech knows our address, the layout of our home, the contents AND that our alarm isn’t working!!!! Tried calling and the customer rep, Zack, LAUGHED at me!! Derrick V of the Columbia SC area is who messed everything up BE WARNED.. STAY AWAY from this company. We actually have ADT and this sorry excuse for a “security” company is contracted with them. REFUSE TO USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

    Our Installer was Nicholas A and he was very nice and professional. He explained everything to my wife and I. On the other people’s review I read that the promotion of giving $100.00 on a visa was a scam. I hope they are wrong so I am expecting ADT to honor that promise, So far we are happy with ADT and Nicholas for a job well done.

    I was promised a rebate after 3 months. I’ve called for 2 straight months to only get the run around. They promise you something and then don’t deliver. In the mean time you are locked into a contract that you can’t get out of without paying thousands.
    So be very wary of their sales teams. Shady liars.
    Not to mention the installer stapled the wires across the middle of our walls and now we have to pay someone to fix the damage he did.

    These people will rob you blind, they will take more money from you than the crooks robbing your house. When you call customer service they cannot even explain your bill. Then they refuse to connect you with billing. Instead they tell you billing will call you back, but could not even say if that would be in the next three days. Remember ADT subs out there work,. instead of having there own technicians. I came home from vacation to find my house had been robbed to the tune of about $4000. I had to leave town for work in four days. In a panic I called ADT, who sent out Safe street USA The time they and ATD were done with me I was out almost another $4000. Whatever you do don’t let them no you were just robbed .It;s like yelling take my money.

    Safe street USA has the worst customer service in an AMERICA. They are disgustingly rude and disrespectful. I have never had ever had to deal with a company with customer services this bad. They are untruthful about their contract and their raggedy equipment. They will lock you in a contract that on broken by DEATH. They might not even let you out then, they might come to your grave demanding payment.

    Beware! When you purchase ADT, you might end up with Safe Streets. ADT offers a 6 month guarantee, if you read the fine print, you only have 3 business days with Safe Streets. You must also then fax in your cancelation (no e-mail). The funny thing is that their fax machine does not answer. After $1,700 in equipment and a 3 year contract for $60/month, they were not able to respond to e-mail requests for support or beeping battery issues for special batteries in less than a week! Fortunately, we are within the 3 day window and despite their off line fax machine, we were able to FedEx our cancellation. It took 8 hours to install, I hope removal is faster. Dont buy ADT or Safe Streets if you are looking for customer support to come with your second hand used equipment in which you pay full price.

    This company is a complete and total joke. We ordered ADT because they had a promotion going on in our area. Our technician came out, hooked it all up, had us sign a sheet of paper and that was that. On that sheet of paper, cancellation fees or contract lengths were NOT included and when we went to cancel we were informed that we would have to pay off the entire balance. I said, fine, whatever, and canceled. They then call me a month later, asking me how I’m going to pay even though when I canceled originally, they never sent me any e-mail or letter to me for me to pay the balance. I hate this company, have had my worst customer service experience of my life with them, and hope they go out of business.

    VISA REWARD Promo appears to me to be a scam. Service started aprox 4-1-16. There was a 3 month wait on a 6-8 week delivery of the Visa card. It’s now 9-15-16 and no card has arrived after NUMEROUS calls to ADT and Safestreet AND with NO answer at Security Choice after being on hold for over an hour. I am still on hold:(

    I recently had to move from my house to an apartment until we were able to get into a house I want to see if I can put my account on hold they wouldn’t let me they said that I had to transfer services . But I couldn’t put a service in my apartment because they had a put a hole in my wall . So I had to pay full price to get out of my contract . This is a very Bad customer service people move situations happen why can I just put my account on hold until I get into my new home . I would’ve been a return customer but since this issue I have decided that I will never use a security system ever again . Too bad for them because they lost out on a good customer . My warning to others don’t go with this company they don’t tell you the whole story until it’s too late . The service technician I was so bad he came in with his dirty shoes and he just he didn’t tell us much about the system . I would not recommend a service to any of my friends or family . Steer clear of safe streets security system .

    Completely horrible company. I wish I had seen these reviews before going forward with services. 30days of service should be called 30days of hell!! Nothing but problems continued unauthorized charges then stated it was our fault, then went to it was human error, just kept getting excuse after excuse.
