    ADT called me in February to tell me to put new batteries in. I told them that my alam system did not work and that I wanted to cancel the service. They said that if they could troubleshoot it from the telephone, would I keep the system? I said yes, but if they couldn't, I wanted to cancel. They could not troubleshoot it. They continued to bill me, I did not pay, since I had verbally cancelled. Yesterday, October, I got a call from their collection agency, Source Receivables Management. They were very rude. I called ADT today to complain. They have all the record of my calls and that I wanted to cancel, etc., but now they're telling me it had to be done in writing. They didn't tell me that then. They strongarmmed me into paying the money or were going to have it affect my credit. Very deceptive and very rude!!! DO NOT USE THEM!!!!Read More

    Worst service ever. Was told that I would be quoted one thing when I ended up having to spend much more. Have been trying to get reimbursed for over a month now. Also spoke with someone on the phone and I expressed my frustrations and they literally laughed at me. I will never go with this company again. After my contract is up we will be done.Read More

    Read the cards so fast I could not understand. When I had questions they said it would all be handled when a technician came out to show me their equipment. I asked another question about video recordings and got some of the same speech I heard twice before. I wanted information and all the lady on the phone wanted is to close a deal.

    No customer service, no answering questions, just close the deal.

    When I started service with ADT it was 11-15-2015 and it was a three year contract to end on 11-15 2018..But in 2017 after receiving my monthly bill I noticed it kept going up in price..I called ADT to complain about my bill increasing each month and little did I know that they lowered my bill but entered me in another contract that I did not wont or ask for.. ADT sent me no paper work saying that they extended my contract..I have turned 65 and retired and will be moving soon.I called ADT and explained this to them or I tried to explain it to them.Now they want me to pay 1,112.00 to end a contract I didnt even know I had until recent.

    The only reason I give it a one is that the service works, but it is impossible to get the $100 gift card. I have called 5 times & get the run around. One time I got sent to 10 different people on the phone. Do not expect them to follow through on what they promised

    I had ADT at 2 different homes. It has taken me years to stop service after my contract was over. Years and thousands of dollars. I have sent certified letters, emails, too many phone calls to count, called credit card company to stop payments and they still keep billing me even though I no longer have the service and haven’t fo years. I have neighbors who have similar horror stories. Going to an attorney today to get them to wrote a letter.

    Devices are failing one by one. We had ADT since 2005. They are unable to fix one of the devices after four visits (over a month) and just disabled it. The system sometimes reports a device fault up to three times in a row. Like an echo. The service tech said that most issues are their aging equipment (Honeywell WiFi) and the FCC only has a narrow select of 2.4GB WiFi for them to use, so neighboring 2.4g WiFi usage interferes with the ADT WiFi system. Making false reports and erroneous errors. Just is not the “Peace of Mind” security that we are paying for! They just excused the failing equipment instead of resolving the problems. A manger told them to disconnect the failed device that they could’t fix (worked well since 2005). What kind of customer support is that? Don’t use this product! Unless they fix their support issues.

    Terrible customer service and no matter if you have signed a 3 year contact, they raise your monthly charge after 2 years and when you call the answer is “it is on your contract with fine prints that we will raise your monthly charge”. Do yourself a favor and look for another company and it will be much cheaper and better

    ADT price gouges customers and many of their technicians have no real clue when there is a problem how to fix it. I am in a rural location but have had their service before through USAA in a rural location and it was fine, but this time it’s awful.
    The customer service isn’t great, they cop an attitude, their techs talk a lot and do little to resolve the issue. Also their monitoring service is quite pricy. I will start looking at do it yourself systems and other systems that are monitored. ADT might have been the best in the past but now most of their employees are looking for a paycheck, not helping customers.

    The salesman sold us a bill of goods for $3000 upfront costs, what a fool I am. He told us oh- if you move you can take the equipment with you! HA! it does not work that way. So we moved and the cancellation fee is over $800 or you have to continue the service on a NEW 3 year contract… I do not want these yeahoos in my home every again! PLEASE research before you sign with ADT All Dead Tome…

    My service with ADT started on 11-15-2015 it was a three year contract and was to end on 11-15-2018..But in 2017 I noticed that my monthly bill was increasing each month ..So I called ADT and the agent on the phone said he would lower my bill per month. Little did I know that he entered me in another contract. I signed no contract in 2017 nor did I agree to another contract .I simply called to dispute My bill increasing per month.. I received no paper work or calls from ADT alerting me to this new contract. Now I have retired and will be moving.. When I called ADT to cancel service I was told I would have to pay 1,112.00 to stop my contract.. I fell that the criminals I was protecting my house from work at ADT..I believe in word of mouth advertising and I have a BIG MOUTH..

    Don’t be fooled by the name, you don’t get a better service from ADT. They attract your attention by offering a competitive rate initially, but then raise the rate like crazy, and the service is no different than others. I would not recommend ADT. I also agree with some of the reviews that they are not honest with you.

    Honestly I’m shocked at how this company is operating. Got it installed less than a week ago. Panel is not working. Called ADT, apparently it’s not their responsibility. Customer service is horrendous! They told me a different company is responsible for their equipment. So maybe some day someone will give me a call to schedule a booking for a technician to come by. They, however, can not do anything. The system worked for 3 days out of 7 days and they told me they can credit me for …..wait for it…15 dollars.

    This company is very deceptive. They advertise rates of $29.99/m for 2 yrs but my friends get a magnifying glass & read the fine print which says – only with telephone Land Line. I missed the fine print and called to engage only to be asked “Do you have a land line?” With my “No” answer he said the rate is $52+/month. (Actually ended up with $57+)
    CS said I had 60 days to cancel if not satisfied & the technition who installed the equipment confirmed when I asked However on the 10th day when I called to cancel I was told the 3-day deadline was passed. When I objected & said I was told 60 days I was asked “Didn’t you read the contract before signing? Who does – there needs to be trust between Co & client!
    I contacted Customer Loyalty & a unsympathetic Carlos just blew me away. How much to cancel? I would have to pay off the 36 m contract.

    Very disappointing service. To be honest, I hate ADT and Safe Haven Security services. The agent came in without explaining the contract fully first. We got the service, but panel kept failing. We asked technicians to fix it for us, and it seemed to working for awhile. Now it’s failing again, so I called. They want another service fee!!!! Now i want to terminate the service, but asking for another money (terminate fee!!!!)

    If the agents do not have knowledge to share about the contract policy, why do they ask for us to read the contract? Very misleading and worst service ever! I will never recommend ADT and safe haven security service with any of my friends or neighbors. Please try your best to avoid them!!!

    Now I have no choice sticking with this company for next 2 years. I will not ask technician to come and fix our panel, and let’s see what they do about it.

    I called them for external surveillance and when they arrived with only internal security I refused further service. I told the rep what I ordered and he tried to tell me to install the security then call them back for the additional cameras. IAt this point I definitely was no longer interested in working with this coumpany. The rep was not listening to me when I asked him to stop installing and continued to install the system. I was very clear that I was no longer interested and repeatedly asked him to stop. Then i needed to speak with his manager to explain why I decided to cancel and he was even worse. I began to feel like I was being bullied and continued to explain why I was not interested. Finally they understood but then I had to talk to another manager and he tried to sell me an unwanted security system. When it was all over the manager told the rep that he was sorry for wasting his time. I would never do business with this company and I’m so glad I dodged this bullet.

    Worst company I have ever dealt with. I had ADT when I lived in Thunder Bay, ON. They were great. Very professional. Then I moved to North Bay and wanted to stay with ADT. That was my biggest mistake. There is only one service guy in North Bay who is extremely rude. He came to install the alarm and then proceeded to make fun of me “faux-pas” furniture is what he called it. He was to show up on a certain day and he never showed up. Then called a few days later and wanted to reschedule during my work hours only. I told him I already took time off work and can’t do it until after work. He said that he only works till 4 pm and hung up on me.
    I called ADT to report their service guy and cancel their service. They said I had to finish my contract first. They said they would drop my price if I kept them and they would not send that service guy to my place again. In November, my battery went dead. I called ADT and they said they would send me a replacement. It is now January, I had to call to find out what happened to my battery. They told me the service guy refused to put it in my mail box. Since when does employees dictate which customers they deal with. I called ADT back to get this settled and I had to give them my password to verify myself. They said they could not help me because it was the incorrect password. I hung up and called their technical dept and they said it was the correct password they had no explaination as to why the Rep did not accept it. This has been going on like this for awhile. I would like to just cancel my subscription. This is a nightmare.

    Awful service. Did not install properly the first day. Then when I wanted to cancel they would not let me cancel the service. Very poor customer service. Charged every month without installing the system properly. Very very disappointed. This is a rip off. Would never recommend. I pay for ADT. As they would not let me cancel the service. Don’t use it. Use NEST product for security. Very happy with Nest. Please stay away from ADT. This is looting on broad daylight. Horrible company.

    ADT sending their third party sales company to the customer for installation and selling equipment and they are cheating the customer with high priced equipment. Even though customer pay all equipment price upfront, they said we have to sign 3 years contract. Monthly monitoring price also high compared to the competitor.

    I would strongly recommend that home owners should not deal with ADT security system and they are cheating and looting money from the customer.

    My experience with ADT is terrible. I would recommend Ring has less expensive for the equipment cost, high advanced technology, low monthly monitoring fees of US $10 per month.

    They don’t tell you that they will continue to charge you for 30 days at a residence you no longer live at and can’t transfer services right away. Also don’t reminburse you for the app when their services aren’t working for that day or several days and they charge more for you to use it.

    I signed a 2 year contract as I knew I would only be residing in the house for that long. After the contract ended I contacted them to make sure it was cancelled and we were all square. After being pushed around and transferred to all different people I finally got someone that helped. He said he took care of it and my contract was expired. Now I am still recieving Bill’s and am told I have a 3 year contract. They are strong arming me into paying this. They are very deceptive and I will never do business with them again. Terrible company. Just a bunch of liars that will tell you anything to sign on the dotted line and lock you in.

    I have ADT at my business for about a yr. Im into a 3 yr. Contract. Well it took ADT an entire year to noticed that my account was set under an old account ,o my buskness DIDNT HAVE PROTECTION. Once the mistake was noticed i argue for a refund which they gave me after many conversations and arguments. Even though it was their mistake! They still wanted to charge me for the Technicians time….. to top it off, im on an auto payment plan and since they corrected their mistake, they took me off auto pay and now are sending me a bill for 2 months!! I will NEVER RECOMEND NOR WILL I SIGN WITH THEM AGAIN……

    Been with ADT for many years until my system started acting up a few months ago. I called Customer Service to request someone to come out and fix the communication failure message displaying on the panel. CS asked me if I had a service plan with them and I gave them the business of what a service plan has to do with issue I’m having with my system. She put me on hold to “talk to a manager so see what she can do”. After a few minutes; returned saying that a tech will come out and I won’t be charged for the service. So I set up and appointment to have them come out. The tech came and to make a long story short looked at my panel and seemed to know what he was doing. He only connected a phone line to the Comcast gateway and told me he was getting a fairly weak signal but it was working according to him. He probably stayed for only 30-45 minutes and said I would be charged but I told him that CS said I would NOT be billed. He got on the phone with his “boss” to see what he can do and took a few minutes before returning and said he took care of it and I WON’T BE BILLED. So I’m thinking everything is good and the system is working fine. Then I get this bill from ADT for $270 for the service WHICH THEIR TECH DIDN’T FIX. And now our phone service is disabled when the ADT system is plugged in at the same time but when I disconnect the alarm our phone works. Either way the system is useless and doesn’t work. I think the tech knew he couldn’t fix it and wanted to bail asap because it was the holidays and gave me the BS story that the system was working. Being a LONG TIME ADT customer and getting this level of incompetent Customer Service is not acceptable. I called them to cancel the monitoring and currently researching for another security option that won’t lie on the phone and to your face! This is a shame and I don’t trust them to install a new upgraded system in my house even for free. Fool me once but do it to a loyal paying customer after 13 years TWICE is unacceptable.

    As the Chief Information Officer at Spectrum Health Systems (Addiction treatment) I spent ~2 yrs. trying to get our local ADT account team to address chronic, severe and ultimately life-threatening service failures. We outlined our service specs and educated ADT on fundamentals of service management with absolutely no improvement. What’s worse, our ADT account executive showed up drunk to a meeting at our inpatient rehab facility. Yes, drunk in front of clients struggling with substance abuse.
    The 2 years of ADT failures placed Spectrum’s patient/staff safety and regulatory compliance at unacceptably high levels of risk which triggered a formal, internal vendor performance audit. The audit’s primary recommendation was to replace ADT with a competitor. These results along with a request for release from remaining contracts were reviewed with ADT’s regional general manager on 9/20/18. The regional GM referred Spectrum’s contract to Nicole G, Executive Customer Relations Manager, from ADT’s office of the CEO. Ms. G promised an answer in 2 weeks, then cancelled our meeting without rescheduling or providing a status for 5 weeks. The local ADT team was also unable to get an update from Ms. G. After 5 weeks of waiting, Spectrum emailed ADT’s CEO, Jim D on 12/11/18. Ten days have passed and as of 12/21/18, Mr. D’S office has provided no formal answer or acknowledgement of this message. We did finally receive a message from Ms. G on 12/17 saying request is still under consideration and Spectrum would just have to wait. No mea culpa from ADT, no decision, no timetable for decision. ADT delivers terrible customer service at all levels including CEO. They do not dispute any of their service failures. Rather than taking corrective actions to create happy customers, ADT relies on egregiously one-sided contracts for customer retention. Spectrum is a not for profit business with limited resources. We are on the front lines in the fight against the national Opioid epidemic and ADT has put our mission at risk. ADT could not care less.

    HORRIBLE COMPANY, YOU CAN DO BETTER WITH A SECURITY SYSTEM FROM AMAZON. This is not an honorable company! If you are thinking about getting ADT, please check out the Ring system on Amazon. We set up the ADT system for my mother over a year and a half ago. In July of 2018, my mother was hospitalized, and we were told she couldn’t return home. Once we had her set up in the Care Facility, I started canceling her account. In late October I explained the situation to a lady named Nancy ** with ADT, and she told me to email what the situation was along with the Power of Attorney documentation, and they would release the account and not charge for the early cancellation fee since this was an unforeseen event. She said I would have to one more month because of the 30-day notice and I said that was fine.

    December 14, 2018, I received a bill from ADT stating that I owed 920 dollars for canceling the service. I called them back and produced the email that Nancy ** had sent me stating everything was taken care of, and the account would be canceled on December 14th. Now, I needed a letter from the Nursing Home and the lady I was speaking with assured me that the account would not be charged.

    So on December 27th, the Nursing home faxed over the letter stating my mother was a resident with that facility, and they received a confirmation back from ADT. So you can imagine my surprise when on January 1, 2019, ADT tried to withdraw the $920 dollars from my mother’s account. Luckily I didn’t have that much in the account, so I was just charged a return-draft fee. I tried to call again, but the wait was 15 minutes. So on Monday, I am reaching out to my Parent’s Elder Law Attorney to file a suit against ADT for taking advantage of an elderly incapacitated person. #ADTWORSTCOMPANYEVER

    ADT put my safety at risk by not mentioning my ex bf was signed up for email notifications whenever the house was armed and disarmed. Almost a year ago I had called ADT to completely remove him from the account, and they were aware he was not going to be in the household anymore. My ex did not mention anything about the notifications until now- 9 months after he’s been gone!!! ADT should have mentioned he signed up for email notifications through http://www.alarm.com!!! Which, btw, they knew I was taking over the account and never offered me the same email alerts- I was completely unaware this existed. He has been able to see every single time I arm and disarm the house, which put me greatly at risk. My house got broken into over the holidays and this makes me very suspicious. ALSO- the sensors suck!!! Hence why I didn’t set my alarm for the holidays cause it doesn’t work half the time!!! Don’t trust ADT to keep you safe!

    Very misleading….they actually took the installation fee before the installation, their explanation they want to make sure the money is there before they come to your home. ADT
    Works with independent companies that sells ADT
    product, you aren’t actually dealing with ADT….Customer Sevice was very rude and condescending. Beware they will lie to you, be very careful on what you are agreeing to and do no give your credit card number to them. Stay away from ADT!

    DO NOT USE ADT (Defender – contractor) I have only had my system for 3 months.
    I received a November and December bill on Dec 31st. 30-60 days late. My motion detectors
    have never worked. I have called and they won’t come out to fix it because they say my account is past due. I offered to show them the Dec 27 & 28th postmark envelope to confirm that I never received a bill. I tried to cancel too! They will NOT do anything, I tried to talk to a supervisor/ manager and they have zero customer service! They also have a contract company in certain areas DEFENDER! They say they can’t do anything either!

    I WOULD NOT RECCOMMEND DEALING WITH ADT!! THEY ARE AWFUL!

I called them back and produced the email that Nancy W. had sent me stating everything was taken care of, and the account would be canceled on December 14th. Now, I needed a letter from the Nursing Home and the lady I was speaking with assured me that the account would not be charged. So the on December 27th, the Nursing home faxed over the letting stating my mother was a resident with that facility, and they received a confirmation back from ADT. So you can imagine my surprise when on January 1, 2019, ADT tried to withdraw the $920 dollars from my mother’s account. Luckily I didn’t have that much in the account, so I was just charged a return-draft fee. I tried to call again, but the wait was 15 minutes. So on Monday, I am reaching out to my Parents Elder Law Attorney to file a suit again ADT for taking advantage of an elderly incapacitated person. #ADTWORSTCOMPANYEVER

    We recently moved and I just spent 27 minutes on the phone trying to cancel my contract, excuse me, my service. We were ADT customers for eight years and they still wanted to charge a relocation fee to install it at our new residence. Plus the original quote for monthly service was higher than I have been praying for the same service. When I protested that, the fee was cut by only three dollars a month. When I finally convinced them I wanted to cancel completely, they said it would take a month. In this day of technology, I do not believe that at all. Until that point, if I decide to install security system at my new location I would have gone with ADT, but I will not now.

    ADT is a joke. 3 weeks I’m paying and still do not have any service. Nobody now what they have to do. This company is only here to take your money but can’t even deliver the basic service they are supposed to provide. There is clearly an issue with their organization and with the skill of the team (maybe they should be trained). You will wait hours on the phone for nothing. When they say 24/7 it’s of course NOT TRUE… it’s closed most of the time and you can just send an email..

    Líes!!! We are still waiting to get our $206 refund…They promise so much and they do nothing they say! We canceled the alarm on the same day they installed it because it was not what they promised. They immediately charged two months ($98) to monitor an alarm they disabled right after our cancellation request. They have not shown up to collect their outdated equipment, honest to God, there is nothing “SMART” about this company, they are rather sneaky and dishonest…Don’t fall for their advertisements 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

    I ordered this service lastweek. The rep who placed our order said we’ll get up to 10 camera too. ALL ON A RECORDED LINE. But When the tech showed up he didnt know what he was doing. Then stated he was there for 1 doorbell to be placed and anything else was a Extra fee. I was furious. We just came out of contract with our prior security company Vivit. I called ADT cancelled the service. Called Vivit back and did another contract. Whats killing me is they took my $$ off my card in seconds. But it taking ADT weeks to refund me my money back. First they said 5- 7 biz days. But thats just for somebody to file ,for your money return. Then it take another 5-7 biz days for it to be back on my credit card. IT WAS FREE AND CLEAR so now I pay my credit card a fee becase ADT WANT MAKE MY CARD WHOLE AGAIN till about 2- 3 weeks😡😡😡

    We had TERRIBLE service and TERRIBLE customer service with ADT. Their customer service is absolutely AWFUL, they’re not helpful, they are not honest about their products and they do not ensure customer satisfaction. We had their service for 3.5 years in our house, paying for a motion detector each month that never worked because the sales person over the phone ensured us that it would not be affected by the movement of our cat and dog during the day, however the installation guy ensured that it WOULD be affected by their movement. Our bill also increases $2-$8 a month with no explanation as to why and CERTAINLY no extra security as a result. I will NEVER do business with this company again- ADT is a JOKE!

    ADT should be avoided at all costs; otherwise they will take all the money they can squeeze. Our newly built house was pre-wired. ADT put in their own equipment and used wireless rather than the pre-wire. (Stupidity on my part). After paying $1700 for equipment and installation, they explained to me that because I used a local ADT franchisee, using pre-wire was not an option due to their proprietary equipment. Problem was ADT did not tell me that I was using a local franchisee when I signed up. At the end of the 3 year contract, I had to pay cancellation charges for canceling when the contract period was completed — a ripoff. During the 3 year contract, each time there was an issue requiring an ADT service call, they attempted to charge me $25 — again the result of having used a local franchisee. I would contest and not pay the $25 but only after multiple calls and conversations. There are other security companies that use plug and play equipment and are just as effective at 1/3 to 1/2 the costs. Buyer beware!

    Sales people lie to get you signed up. They offered me one 100 gift card first and i accepted joining the $26/month plan. When the techician – Mark- came to install the equipment – and after he finished installing and opening holes in my wall – he realized that i dont have a landline. This would increase my monthly rate to $56 per month. At this point i said i did not want the service. He “made a call” and came back saying that they were going to provide me with a special device that would allow me to lower my rate to $26 even though i did not have a landline… But for this one month only i needed to pay $56 and they would come some other day to install the special device. I fell trap of this lie and signed – just because at this point he had already installed everything. They gave me three days only to test the system and i could return it within 3 days if i chose to… The next day i called ADT and asked what this special device was and they did not know about that… They acknowledged that their technician lied. I requested cancellation of my service right away…. Now another nightmare started… I had to fax forms requesting cancellation… Then everytime i called them i would get the worst customer service. It took 45 days for me to be refunded!! The WORST!!!

    The sales guy on the phone said the installation guy will give the monthly pricing. The installation guy came and started pulling out my control panel and circuits in our home. I stopped him and asked the pricing information. The price was high, the mechanics he was explaining did not make much sense and we decided not to go with adt. The adt installation guy left the control panel and circuits open and made holes on our walls. Disappointed. Later I heard from another company that ADT personnel misuse the information and try to threaten people. I did not expect this kind of job from ADT!!!

    I fell for the “Defender” deal – so far they have taken almost $400 from my checking account. I had to close my checking account to stop it. I’ve spent over 3 hours on the phone with them, both Defender and ADT. They are not charging me 27.99, they are charging 52.00 and I have the landline. Furthermore, they charged me for a remote and took 163.00 from my checking account and I never asked for the remote. The installer said “Would you like for me to put this remote on your key chain since I’m here?” I said yes and the next thing I know, I’m getting 163.00 sucked from checking account. I returned that little gadget 8 weeks ago and still have not received a credit. If you call about your monthly charge, it’s ADT so Defender can’t help you. If you call about being over-charged for the equipment, ADT can’t help you, it’s Defender. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE. I like to pay my bills on time so I was having it held out of my checking account automatically, but now that they’ve taken almost 400.00, I had to close my checking account. They also advertise they will give you a 100.00 VISA card – that’s probably a ripoff too. I’m going with another company. These people lie. I’ve spoken t some attorneys who have assured me this is a breach of contract since I have a landline and they have charged me for 3 months at the higher price and not the landline price. STAY AWAY.

    I received terrible service both via email and via the phone on this past Saturday, December 29th. I have paid in full every month for almost 4 years, on top of the initial $4,000 I spent to set up service with ADT. The reason I am cancelling and not transferring service to my new home is because of how terrible ADT has been to work with ($1,759 in false alarm charges over 4 years due to the sensors being too sensitive and no one replying to change the settings). I have sent multiple emails that contained a signed cancellation request (clearly signed by hand). I tried cancelling service on 8 occasions in print, once by USPS letter, and twice by phone. When I called on this past Saturday, the 29th, it had yet been cancelled. The first lady on the phone was incredibly helpful and resourceful, but the guy I was transferred to refused to help, refused to refund my charge, refused to let me speak to a supervisor, and hung up on me.

    Set up 2 appointments and a no go for both. No courtesy call and management uses the excuse that they are a large corporation and set up with personnel that no longer work there! That is piss poor excuses! Instead of management making it right, they were defenseless again playing the violin! Poor management with poor oversight! ADT needs to do some 101 training on updating their employee rosters used to throw sales pitches and advertisements they can’t even back up! 0 out of 10 is my rating and lost a 15 year customer! Hope ADT rethinks their strategy.

    Changed my account number without letting me know after 2+ years and then can’t find my payment. Someone from customer services obtained my proof that I had paid, said everything was all good and offered me 3 months free. Fast forward one more month and my info is sent to collections. You suck ADT. Will never use your services again

    When I initially signed up ADT sent out a crew of clowns who couldn’t get the install right. Eventually ADT had to send out one of their actual employees. One time in five years the alarm went off and I actually spoke with someone, the ADT operator couldn’t say “Colonial” the name of my street in English. I told him have the police respond. I waited an hour and nobody contacted me to inform me of the outcome. I called my local PD directly and they informed me all was well but the ADT operator couldn’t speak English well enough to say my address. PD was able to respond by looking up my last name because I registered the alarm with my town. Now the final insult. I’ve been trying to cancel my account since Dec 22. The lady who took my call was very pushy trying to get me to stay, offering free things, putting me on hold. Finally she agrees and tells me the service is canceled then hangs up on me. I had to call back to ask to have the panels removed. They then told me I would have to pay $154 per 30 minutes for a service call if I wanted the ADT tech to remove the panels. Obviously I didn’t want to pay that so I removed them myself. I got what I thought was my final bill and logged into myADT.com to confirm. Turns out they didn’t schedule my cancelation until Jan 21. I called and they told me the contract says 30 days notice. Refused to allow me to speak to anyone else. Could not, would not offer a waiver even though they just tried to give me 2 months free. Mind you I’ve been a customer for over 5 years and paid on time everytime! Also, the contract specifies 30 day notice while in current billing period. The January billing period hasn’t started!

    TL/DR: called ADT, they told me to F myself!

    The service tech had a very nasty attitude with me for no reason. He (Tony B ) asked what where my major concerns for the home in security ? I told him the windows in the basement that are nearest the ground , he said wow you just talking about the basement? What you act like you don’t have other windows have you ever heard of a ladder? “I have one in my truck right now”. What type of system do you have as he laughed. I said sir this is not my field of work that’s why I called a security company , for you to in for me on what I need to know. He reply again sarcasiand Say’s you worried about the $$. I then asked him was he upset because he had to wait ,due to his attitude that he has . he stated, no if I wanted to leave I would have. At that point I’m holding my tounge . then he wanted to walk through the home and I went from what was a special home buyers package of free equipment and $58.00 per month to a $2000.00 estimate. No thanks and you can leave. He came off as the type that would sell your information and have someone break in your home. If so I still have his name .
