  • High monthly monitoring fees: Standard monitoring plans for new customers range from $36.99 to $52.99 per month. This is a bit higher than other leading industry providers. Specifically, their lowest plan is considerably higher than other industry leading providers and their respective lower plans.
  • A long, 36-Month contract: ADT provides the installation and equipment free of charge, but with one major caveat. You’re basically signing a 3 year (36-month) contract. Also it’s important to note that these contracts aren’t too forgiving. Customers are expected to pay what they owe on the contract in the event that they try to cancel early.
  • Video surveillance option: ADT has a video plan option where for $49.99/month, you get the standard home security package along with a camera that includes video surveillance features that you can monitor through the ADT mobile app. Most home security service providers still do not offer video surveillance as a service. So if this is an important feature to you, you’ll want to consider ADT.
  • Customer service complaints: Common complaints of ADT customers include sales and installation reps failing to show up to scheduled appointments, long wait times, and high cancellation fees. We have received over 1,500 negative reviews here on this website regarding ADT from real customers.

    ADT called me in February to tell me to put new batteries in. I told them that my alam system did not work and that I wanted to cancel the service. They said that if they could troubleshoot it from the telephone, would I keep the system? I said yes, but if they couldn't, I wanted to cancel. They could not troubleshoot it. They continued to bill me, I did not pay, since I had verbally cancelled. Yesterday, October, I got a call from their collection agency, Source Receivables Management. They were very rude. I called ADT today to complain. They have all the record of my calls and that I wanted to cancel, etc., but now they're telling me it had to be done in writing. They didn't tell me that then. They strongarmmed me into paying the money or were going to have it affect my credit. Very deceptive and very rude!!! DO NOT USE THEM!!!!Read More

    Worst service ever. Was told that I would be quoted one thing when I ended up having to spend much more. Have been trying to get reimbursed for over a month now. Also spoke with someone on the phone and I expressed my frustrations and they literally laughed at me. I will never go with this company again. After my contract is up we will be done.Read More

    NIGHTMARE of a Company! STAY AWAY!

    I do not know where to begin. Maybe the shadiness of the representative who knocked on my door or the terrible customer service when trying to stop service because we had to move to a place where ADT was unable to service the address…..
    I would not trust a thing this company says besides an alarm alert. I guess thats there main thing but taking care of customers is definitely not in there portfolio.
    My wife and I were hard sold by a door to door rep who walked in our house and scared us into a system. However I knew that my Job would be moving us to a location where ADT service was unavailable and I did not want to be stuck to a contract as we would be selling the property we were in within 12-18 months.
    He assured me that if we started service if we had to move and the next owner did not want the service that we could cancel with no problem.
    He then somehow conned us into an updated contract that HE signed via docusign but had my wife agree too by being shady.
    The installation process was also shady. That being said after he scared us about break ins in the area we still wanted protection. Once service began it was great until we had to move and eventually sell our home. It was at this point when I discovered he had committed us to a 3 year contract and signed a document for it–FORGERY! And because he most likely had my wife click a link without being able to read the contract because of the “necessary edits he had to make” we were going to be held to fire for this contract. I told a representative we no longer were going to own the property and to cancel service and to send me a copy of the contract. This is where I saw he signed the contract not me!
    I was continually charged for over 12 more months!!!!! I was traveling away for work and did not notice the charge that continued until I returned.
    I then had to fill out forgery documents and pay to have them notarized.
    I never heard anything and finally called ADT to check what was going on. They acted like I should know because they mailed me a response.
    I NEVER HAVE BEEN MAILED ANYTHING FROM THEM!!!! EVEN STILL TO THIS DAY they have not sent me a copy of the legal teams rejection of my fraudulent claim.
    Because of a docusign link that was clicked even though Its not my signature they say I am at fault.
    All I was asking for before knowing about the fraudulent contract was a refund of the overage of months I was charged once I requested cancellation. Oh and guess what the representative who I can identify thanks to my notes who I requested to cancel with just so happened to not make any notes about that!
    Do not trust that this company makes proper notations. I have received multiple answers of different sorts everytime I speak to a new representative. THEY ALWAYS JUMP TO DEFEND ADT.
    The customer will never be correct…..
    Today I was escalated to a manager who then argued with me after I was very calm. I asked to me escalated and he told me there was no one above him to speak to. I asked to speak to his boss and he said there was not one.
    I asked to speak to the legal team and he said thats not possible.
    He then said he would connect me to the “presedential dept” only to come back after holding for 5 minutes to tell me that he was not going to be able to do that. He said I could contact the local supplier to discuss this further as he was trying to get me off the phone in any way possible. I already went through that channel and the local company has nothing to do with billing!
    I then asked to be connected to the last representative who promised me he would look deeper into the issue and contact me back. By the way I was never contacted back.
    I left a voicemail with that representative and still have yet to hear back.

    ADT do the right thing- I guess you are so tight as a company that you can’t afford to give refunds even when they are do. Even when a customer is persuaded into service and a fraudulent contract.

    TERRIBLE ALL THE WAY AROUND! NO RESPECT FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS.
    I never thought I would have to write a review like this for any company.

    I am very upset with my ADT experience and contract. Your sales rep Daehan J gave me inadequate information regarding your ADT service and contract. I was very upfront and concerned about switching from Safenet to ADT because I was planning on moving the following year. He ASSURED me that the move of equipment, install and monitoring fees would not incur additional charges! He also did NOT disclose that there was a 36 month contract or an early termination fee. If I was properly informed of incurring additional charges for my move, I would NOT have switched security companies as my contract with Safenet was complete. In order for me to set up a new security monitoring system at my new place of residence, I received an estimate for $461. I discussed with Brad B, another sales rep of ADT corporate and he did help bring down the price but not after over 3 hours of 6 different customer services representatives. I am not pleased with your company nor ADT. Even though Daehan was working for an “authorized ADT dealer”, he is still representing the ADT BRAND.

    I ended up purchasing the new equipment and service because I was told that I would be charged an early termination fee of $971.69. Well, 3 weeks later I got a charge on my credit card for this early termination fee AND a charge for the new equipment and 3 year contract service. This is the most scandalous security company I’ve ever come across. It is very concerning since they are suppose to monitor security of your home and your personal possessions.

    DO NOT LISTEN TO A WORD THIS COMPANY SAYS WHEN SELLING THEIR EQUIPMENT AND SERVICES. I was sold ALL equipment under false pretenses and at the end of the day it is costing me thousands of dollars for useless equipment and NO protection.
    I bought $2k+ of equipment after being told that the equipment was transferable to a new residence since I was installing it in a rental residence I did not own. It was explicitly explained that I was renting and would be moving within 3 years and was promised I could take all equipment with me to be installed in another home. When I moved I was informed that the equipment cannot be transferred but that a $500 moving credit is given, however the new home I was moving into had “a better system” and the $500 credit would cover the little bit of equipment I was missing to give me an “even better system” than I had in the previous home. New contract was signed based on this. No new equipment was installed – turns out the only existing equipment was a couple of door sensors and hard wired alarm pads, which were not used. There are no sensors on windows or 3 of the 5 doors. My last home had over ten window sensors and 5 door sensors as well as 2 alarm pads at entry doors. Now I have two doors protected and one alarm pad that can only be used in a room that is not a primary entry point and would require me to run across the house to disarm every time I enter my home. It is a 3 year contract that has to be paid in full so I am now paying for services for 3 years that cannot be used and were sold under completely false pretenses. The company refuses to deliver what was promised and continues to try to get me to buy more equipment to get what i already paid for. What’s more is that I had a 3 year contract in the previous home that they reassigned to another 3 year contract after having already fulfilled 2 years of the first contract – this is not what was explained to me, I was told the new contract was for the 1 year difference. I either have to cough up $800+ to cancel the contract or continue to pay for monitoring on equipment not installed.

    WORST COMPANY EVER!!!! DO NOT GET ADT FOR YOUR HOME!!!!!!
    DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ADT!!!
    I canceled my account with ADT back in June, and it is now November and they are still sending me voicemails, invoices, and threatening to send me to the debt collection agency!! Every two weeks, I call ADT so that THEY can FINALLY cancel my account, and EVERY SINGLE time they apologize and assure me that the account has been closed and that I will no longer receive emails, invoices, and threats. BUT not even 48 hours later, I will still be receiving calls, voicemails, emails, and threats.

    I have spoken with customer service representatives, managers, and supervisors abut this issue and they NEVER fix it after we get off of the telephone. At this point I do not know what to do and i am fed up with this company.
    November 6th 2018, I had the worst experience with a customer service manager who works for account management in Jacksonville, Florida. She was so nasty with me and spoke to me with so much attitude and no respect. She was not polite, nor did she mention her name when asked. I had to get her name from another representative the next day. I also asked her to read her notes so that she can familiarize herself with my situations and how many times I have been in contact with her department and she refused to do so. Porsha F abruptly hung up on me out of frustration and also sent me a bill for over 1000$ out of frustration and threatened to send me to the debt collection agency.

    I bought a house back in 2015 and decided to have a security system installed since I wasn’t going to be home much and would like some peace of mind. ADT was a pretty well known security company in my area and a few families in my neighborhood have ADT so I gave them a call. I ended up selling the house after a year and a half since I travel too much for work. I called to cancel my service to be told that I signed a three year contract and that I’d have to pay the remainder of the contract or I wouldn’t be able to cancel. I told them that I did not sign a contract and I was not made aware of there being a contract. The contract that I supposedly signed was emailed to me and the “signature” on the contract was nowhere close to mine. I was told to fill out a fraud package, to which I did. I filled out and sent in a fraud package only for the fraud department to say that my signature was “confirmed” and that it was me who sign it. How could I have sign a contract I was never informed about or seen? The only form I signed was the installment agreement and nowhere did it say I have to have the service for three years.

    THIS IS NOT A JOKE…. I’m a single Mom. I bought ADT service to NOT keep burglars out, but to keep my teenager IN!!! Yes, I wanted to set the alarm at night and have peace of mind that everything was all secure and there would be no sneaking OUT or IN!!!

    Well, let me tell you, within a few months my TEENAGER had hacked the subpar ADT security system. Apparently, all you have to do is remove the magnets from the sensors from each point (Windows, doors, etc…) and it makes the ADT SYSTEM USELESS!!! Now, I’m stuck in a 3 year contract with a useless system and no way to secure my home.

    Oh, I can pay for a tech to come out to repair it because a teenager figured out to hack the system. I guess burglars can’t figure this out either??? Oh ok?!?! Thanks for nothing ADT!!!

Horrible horrible experience with them DO NOT LET THEM TAKE YOUR MONEY WHEN ITS TIME TO REFUND IT YOU WILL NEVER GET IT BACK THEY JUST KEEP ON TRANSFERRING YOU TO DIFFERENT PEOPLE AND PUT YOU ON HOLD AND EVERYTIME YOU’RE ON HOLD ANOTHER PERSON PICKS UP AND YOU HAVE TO EXPLAIN YOURSELF OVER AND OVER AGAIN I AM A CUSTOMER BUT I REGRET IT BECAUSE THEY DON’T TELL YOU THAT YOU ARE ON A 2-3 year contarct with them .     Many times agreed to vist me, let’s say Wednesday morning so I decided to stay and wait just to receive a call that afternoon to reschedule. Can you believe it? Not even explaining/apologizing first. Sensors falling and activating the alarm causing the cops to come to finally find out that the sensor simply fall from the double face tape it was holding it. Yes, double face tape. Also, if you move in the middle of the 3 years contract, you are not allowed to continue the agreement at the new address. You need to start 3 years again or pay the whole remaining months. I WOULD NEVER GO BACK OR RECOMMEND ADT.

    The worst service! I just moved in to my home not even 2 months and my home was broken into, I was told one thing when I purchased services and when Safe Haven their contract dealers came, it was something totally different. The burglar came through the windows cause no motion sensor where there, and the screen was broken to the main box! When the tech came out he told me I was not covered and I had to pay 400 dollars up front or buy 1100 dollars worth of equipment in order to protect my home that I pay them every month to monitor. Buyers please be aware! YOU ARE NOT PROTECTED BY THIS OVER PRICED SCAM COMPANY!!! DO NOT PURCHASE YOU ARE BETTER OFF BUYING YOUR OWN SECURITY SYSTEM

    I have been trying to cancel adt for 10 months now. Everytime i call they tell me they cancelled my account but still bill me. I eventually went to my bank and put a stop payment on the account and now i get emails that i owe money. I will never use them again.

    Just tried to use the “new website” to put my system on test. It’s completely unusable. I have no idea why they changed the foremat. I ended up having to call anyway and was told that everyone is having problems with it. She was unable to figure out the issue.

    Today I had my 14th visit from ADT since I got their system in June. This is after they replaced the entire system one month ago. There is yet another problem and they have to come out next week again. Please DO NOT buy anything from ADT. I payed $3,000 up front and $67 a month for nothing. I can’t get out of the contract unless I pay another $1,000. Anyone but ADT.

    Never fulfilled offers at time of installing system. Put in wrong name of person living in the home. Needed supplies for system that was to be sent over a year ago and still don’t have them. Still being billed for service after cancelling service 3 months later. Scheduled an instillation for my daughters home and they never even showed up. New company offered alot more at a lesser rate. Very happy they have even come by twice since changing over to see if I have any questions. So glad I made the change.

    I emailed to cancel. They sent form which I signed and returned. They called saying I could be in a program at $14.99 a month for 5 years. I agreed. So, Six months later my bill is for $24.72.
    They say it is a 6 month loyalty program. I called close to their 11:00pm closing and precisely at 11:00pm their phone system cut me off. If they don’t change me back to the $14.99 I’ll cancel. If they turn me orvr to a collection agency I’ll take it up with my attorney. If anyone has had a similar problem please post here.

    I work for a company that uses ADT in our office for security. We had trouble with a couple sensors for which an ADT tech came to fix. Whatever he did completely messed up the system. We were without an alarm system for over a week because they didn’t have any techs that could come till then. Why do they not treat this as a necessity much like someone that is on 24/7 to fix your furnace if it goes out in the winter. They didn’t care that the office was with out security for over a week. As far as I’m concerned a security company that doesn’t care if you don’t have security is useless. ADT is useless. I’m looking in to Frontpoint to replace ADT in our company. My warning to those seeking ADT for your home. If they don’t care about a business they aren’t going to care about your home.

    On or around October 1st, 2018, I received a plastic post card in my mail box advertising low cost ADT alarm service for $27.99 a month. (See attachment). Around the middle of October 2018, I called whom I though was the original ADT at 1-888-389-2943, but it turned out that I was calling a provider of ADT, a company called “Defenders.” At that time, I inquired about obtaining an alarm system. I am a very detailed orientated person. While on the phone with a Defender sales agent, I asked how much I needed to pay to get the advertised alarm system installed. The salesman responded by saying, “All I needed to pay is a $100.00 deposit and the equipment fee for the alarm system would be free of charge. Plus, I was told that ADT would refund me the $100.00 deposit back in a Master Card. The agent failed to state in order to get the $100.00 Master Card, I needed to send a company called “Mpell” a money order for $4.95.
    By having little experience with alarm systems, I declined the Defenders offer, because in the past I was told by another alarm system provider that there were no installation fees, just the monthly service fees. After making it clear to the salesman that I did not want service, the salesman told me to hold on the phone and he would be transferring me to another department. While on hold, a supervisor came on the phone and stated if I install the service for $27.99 a month, she would throw in a smoke detector along with an outside siren burglar alarm. Since I was offered the burglar alarm and the outside burglar alarm, I agreed to the installation.
    On October 26th, 2018, a service man named Tyler arrived to install the alarm system. Tyler told me he was installing shock absorbent detectors on all my windows. Now or a week later, none of the alarms are in working condition. Defenders has refused to service the alarm system in a timely manner. Now they are telling me that shock absorbent detectors were never install. I previously missed two days from work waiting on defender service persons. In addition, Tyler install all the alarm backwards. If I don’t have shock absorbent detectors? if both pieces of the alarm are installed on one immovable frame? Then my windows are not protected. In addition, the free smoke detector, and the outside burglar alarm was not so free. As I was charged for those two items and led to believe that my security system was securely installed. Also, after the installation Tyler told me that I needed to pay an additional $1,176 dollars. Feeling pressured, I agreed to pay in installments. Tyler told me I would be billed in three installments. I was never billed in three installments. Tyler billed my account the $1,176.00 as he exited my door. Oh yeah, did I mention that the $27.99 monthly fee turned into $52.00 a month. One business day after paying off ADT Defender, a lady from Defender’s collection department called me and said I needed to pay another $1000.00 dollars. I can not understand what the original ADT would allow these crooks and thieves to so sell their products.

    Please report these people to the BBB. Also, on Defenders or Protect Your Home website Defender and Protect your Home state, “they have a AAA rating with the BBB. “Just one lie after the next.

    Be very careful singing up with this company. When you move or choose to discontinue service they make it extremely difficult. You have to jump through hoops in order to stop service.

    ADT is the worst company ever! Their business model is literally extortion. If you enjoy paying thousands of dollars to have them mount stuff all around your home just to have them months later unilaterally decide to charge you more for your monthly service then literally tell you that you either pay or go to collections…then ADT is for you. I have never dealt with such an unprofessional company, they only care about getting you in a contract where they can then charge you whatever they want without any paperwork to back up their extra charges. Want to speak to their billing manager John R? Forget about it, you cannot speak to this guy in person, all you can do is leave a message. Want to email or mail your proof of their error to them? Not happening, they have no reply-able email addresses or physical mailing addresses. Any company that only has a phone number for a contact is always trying to hide from their responsibilities to their customers. ADT only cares about one thing, that contract and how to extort as much money from you as possible. Join me in a class action lawsuit against this company…they need to be stopped!

    14+ year customer. Renovated house. Since upgrading to ADT Pulse, one issue after another. Contacted ADT Community manager, she sends two technical managers whose objective is to argue are not even prepare. Tried 3 times to reconnect with the DT Community Manager unsuccessfully. Today, system offline. Stoped payment.

    Worst experience ever ! Called Saturday to cancel and they said their business department for account cancellation was closed during weekend. Called on Monday to cancel but waited 15 minute to speak rep (my ear hurt during wait due to continuous announcements of their add :( even I wanted to cancel their service). Their rep told me that they need 30 days notice before cancellation so I have to pay extra month fee ! Bad way of doing business! I have been their customer 18 years and no equipments changes or anything else from their side and giving me the bad crap. They have to clean their business tactics since I am not going back and will not recommend to anyone.

    ADT could not fix the sensor on our front door for 4 months and 4 service guys. Getting out of their contract is a nightmare. I was exhausted from all the middle of night and early morning “trouble signal” calls. The front door alarm was NOT functional all that time. They removed their equipment about 3 weeks ago and I now have Brinks. I am still being billed by ADT/Defender despite them telling me they were letting us out of contract.     Was in the processing of signing up and was infomed there is a 3 year contract required. Conversation was over at that point.

    No one needs a 3 years contract except to siphon money from your very own customers. So after I ended the call I went to the reviews and low and behold….ADT shame on you!

    I definitely dodged a bullet here. Thank you all for sharing your experiences with this company!

    Alarm was going off every 20 minutes. Called customer service. They said there was cell tower work brewing done on my area. So I would have to keep resetting the panel for 3 days. I said I will not do that. The alternative was for me (the customer) to open the panel and disconnect wiring to stop the alarm from going off. I refused and wanted a technician to come out to disarm the panel. They told me there would be I charge for doing that. They said it’s not there problem. I am canceling my service and switching to Xfinity home.

    One line of legal text on the contract allows ADT to raise rates while you’re under contract. You cannot refuse, you are legally bound to pay whatever new rates they demand.

    I would not recommend anyone use this service. In today’s day and age, one could make a one time purchase for a CCTV system and be far better off. The ADT home security system is in fact pointless; in cases of an emergency, the police isn’t the first to be notified. The call goes out to their call center, and if they find it suitable, they will call the police. This takes much longer than simply calling the police yourself.

    I’ve tried on several different occasions to cancel my service and was met with heavy resistance. Their “customer service” reps will lie to you to keep you contracted. It is no wonder that they faced a mass action law suit several times.

    TL;DR: Don’t do it. Buy a nice CCTV system. Even a $1,200.00 camera system would save you time, money, and aggravation in the long run.

    Be careful when you sign the new contract with ADT, it’s a Trap. I pay for all the services money already and first month payment, afterthat i still get the double charge next month. I contact to the ADT customer service and they can mot return and fix that problem. I want to cancel my account I need to pay 800$ for cancel fee. Nice Job ADT!!

    If you move you are stuck with the payment of the rest of the contract. Stuck with a $2000 bill because I decided to move years after the contract and there is no way getting out of it. They also give give quotes and don’t follow them charging more. I don’t recommend anyone use ADT.

    We called ADT and without our knowledge they send an “authorized dealer”. This installer told us the Ring doorbell installed would work without additional cost. However, we got notice that the initial grace period was up we needed to pay Ring to use the doorbell. Now we pay Ring as well as ADT! Now, when we had the garage door system failed we were billed $25 for a technician visit who replaced the faulty system. He told us because an authorized dealer installed it we had to pay the $25 visit fee. We thought we were dealing only with ADT.

    Worst company. Never ever will I going to use them. They sucked my money for 3 years. I told them to cancel after 3 years were over. I saw that they kept on charging me for the next 4 months. When I call them they have no record that I cancel my service. Worst company. They gave me a loss of $150 and I pledged that I will give them 150 bad reviews and will expose this company that sucks our money.

    They literally are the worse company to deal with! their customer service is NON existent!
    You call tech support for an issue so they transfer you to sales so they can sell you a ‘hardline’ which I already had have but all of a sudden it’s not compatible!!!
    I would never ever use them again! Every single rep I’ve had the displeasure of speaking to on the phone was Dumber than the last!!!!!
    If there was a score lower than ZERO, it would still be too good for them!

    Stay far away from the never ending pit falls of ADT. They punish you for moving, and force you into a new contract. I moved recently and didn’t tell them. Brought I’ll the equipment with me and sadly wasting 40$ a month until I can cancel. Every time you move it’s a brand new 3 year contract. And in order to cancel they force you to pay out whatever you owe plus fees. It’s an absolute nightmare. Nowadays you don’t need ADT. Invest in your own cameras that you can access from your phone!

    Our home security system got disconnected from the ADT main base, meaning when our alarm got tripped, ADT had no idea and we were left vulnerable with no idea.
    We paid for a service and you’d think they’d contact us and let us know our system isn’t working. Also think they’d only charge us for monitoring if they were actually doing their job. I feel unsafe in my home and I should be able to rely on a security system to provide security.

    ADT’s basic Home Security service includes only 3-4 contact points (doors & windows) in your home.
    Who only has 3 points of entry??!!! If you want 6 more windows with security contacts, it’s an additional $100.
    Very deceptive sales tatechnique to entice customers.with a low cost package and next to no security with their basic package. Not impressed.

    This company did a bait and switch on me (referring to the monthly cost). They have billed me for $52.00 a month in stead of the $27.50 (also quoted $27.99). This company has not helped me at all regarding what they said they would do. No paper contract at all which I never did sign anyway. Everything was on the internet which I did not do. Lies, lies, lies. They hound me every day and night with phone calls saying I signed up for $52.00 per month (I did not) All I have is a so called contract done on the internet. I did not do this on the internet. Also, they said it was docusigned (I called my son who is a CPA for the State of Arizona to explain to me what that was). I did not docusign anything, but on the internet it shows that it was done (by someone but not me). More lies. I am getting sick of the lies.
    Also, they will not change monthly amount and won’t let me cancel. This company sucks. No help from customer service either. I am on Social Security. Why would I agree to $52.00 a month. I have called them many, many times to no avail. ADT needs a remake. I am not the only one who thinks they have a company and customer problem. If I could afford a lawyer I would like t sue them. I wish somebody would. They stink.

    An Adt rep arrived at my house to discuss possibly switching from my current system to ADT. I was told on the phone from a SALES MANAGER my current smoke fire and co2 alarms could be used on ADT system. The rep removed my old alarm panel to test the system and see if it was working. (So he says). My alarm never had any issues. After trying to sell my 10000 worth of alarm merchandise I told him I wanted to just switch over to adt with my current stuff and only upgrade the panels, and key chain fobs which the sales rep said where all included. Nevertheless after he told me i could not use my current fire smoke co2 alarms and he would have to install and ADDITIONAL 12 smoke detectors I told him to forget the whole system. He put my panel back on and the ALARM IS NO LONGER WORKING. I CALLED ADT SUPERVISIOR AND ADVISED THEM ABOUT PROBLEM AND HOW THIS WAS A MAJOR CONCERN DUE TO THE FACT I HAVE NO BURGLAR ALARM, CO2 ALARM OR FIRE ALARM IN MY HOUSE WITH 3 CHILDREN. he told me there was nothing he could do to call my old alarm company. THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH OF ANY SORT NOT ONLY ALARMS.

    Worst service ever. Was told that I would be quoted one thing when I ended up having to spend much more. Have been trying to get reimbursed for over a month now. Also spoke with someone on the phone and I expressed my frustrations and they literally laughed at me. I will never go with this company again. After my contract is up we will be done.

    ADT called me in February to tell me to put new batteries in. I told them that my alam system did not work and that I wanted to cancel the service. They said that if they could troubleshoot it from the telephone, would I keep the system? I said yes, but if they couldn’t, I wanted to cancel. They could not troubleshoot it. They continued to bill me, I did not pay, since I had verbally cancelled. Yesterday, October, I got a call from their collection agency, Source Receivables Management. They were very rude. I called ADT today to complain. They have all the record of my calls and that I wanted to cancel, etc., but now they’re telling me it had to be done in writing. They didn’t tell me that then. They strongarmmed me into paying the money or were going to have it affect my credit. Very deceptive and very rude!!! DO NOT USE THEM!!!!

    It takes days up to 5 for a regular debit or credit card to process. In 2018 most debit transactions are immediate. They never run a bill payment/bank account transaction on the day it is supposed to be taken out of the bank account. The service works fine but, billing is absolutely inconvenient and should be looked into by a government agency…

    They told me they were going to ask. All cameras when they came out I didn’t have internet so they say they couldn’t install the cameras told me to get internet and they would install them I got internet three days later they tell me they can’t install my cameras for 30 days and then it would be $300 per camera when I was supposed to give me 3 cameras and they renege when I tried to complain they had subcontracted it out to someone else ADT didn’t even hook the alarm up they sub-contracts it the contractor will not honor what they said so I’m through with ADT when I got them 20 years ago they was a one but they like Allstate and State Farm they got their name up now and they treat you any kind of way when I tried to get out of the contract they told me it would cost me over $2,000

    Way beyond bait and switch ADT is truly SCAM of an operation. The price I was quoted and that exists in recordings is the not price I was billed. BUT according to ADT “customer service” nothing can be done. Why? Because the final contract has the right price. The problem with that is that the final contract was not signed by me and even the initials on the electronic document are not mine. Someone completed the contract and submitted it. I am pretty confident the installer didn’t know my agreed upon price and may have just completed the paperwork to clear out his workload BUT that leaves me the customer with a non-responsive customer service team, a price dramatically higher than I was promised and a 3 year contract with a horrible cancellation clause.

    This company have the worse Customer service, I called to speak with a soup because I had posted a payment with a representative who never posted it although one rep told me agent had it listed for a wrong date. Sheet speaking to a soup she told me she would call me back after she pull the call she never called back but I don’t want to forget to mention I had asked for a supervisor 3x before agent got me asua sup . Next I just got the system but I’m moving. I called to advise I was moving thinking that all I had to do was remove the pieces as the installer had advised and they would come to my new place to install, well today I was told I have to pay another 99.00. I asked to speak to a soup the rep put me on hold and came back and disconnected the call. They are the worse.
