This organization cares only about collecting "their" service fees and not a bit about providing a customer oriented service. It has taken several months to discontinue my service and still all i can get is how their policy dictates that we have you and there is nothing you can do about it. I am going to tell everyone to stay as far away from this scam as possible.

Pressured me into getting the system . Then my smoke detector broke and they rescheduled 3 times and never came to fix it. Wish I would have read more about this horrible company before I invested thousands of dollars into this worthless company. Can’t afford to directly pay off the contact so I will be paying for nothing for the next 2 years.

This company take advantage and is dishonest with the customer. If you decide to cancel the contract they will threat you telling you ALL the charges that they can apply. They were rude and not polite at all but I payed me everything only because I dont want to know about them. And guest what? They called me after a month to tell me that I have a pending pay. I DIDN'T

Moved into my home on the 22nd of August. Signed up for ADT roughly a week later with the top of the line equipment with the monthly subscription for 3 years of $57 and some change. Due to high demand they weren’t able to get a technician in for installation until the following Saturday. No problem. The Friday before my appointment a live person called to confirm my appointment. Appointment was confirmed. I should mention I took the Saturday morning off from work to ensure I was home in time for the technician. Approximately 15 minutes before my appointment I received a phone call stating they had a scheduling error and the appointment could not be fulfilled. The next available Saturday was October 5. A month later. I asked for some form of compensation and was told they could see if they can get a technician out sooner or waive a couple months of subscription fees. I was asked to remain patient and give them a few days to work it out and someone from would be back in contact with me. So here we are on September 25th. I never heard again from ADT. No one ever attempted to contact me regarding the compensation or scheduling error. Needless to say I canceled and will be taking my business elsewhere. This company for being one of the best in the business is a joke and was a true indication that they only care about the money and not the customer. Save yourself the headache of being passed around to several different people to get an answer and then being told to just be patient only to never hear back with a resolution. My guess is they figured we’ll just hold out till the 5th of October when she’s already sucked into our 3 year contract. No thanks. I’ll take my money and safety to another company .

Had a system Installed within the first month started receiving calls about the alarm had a repair man here every month for 7 months before I was told I needed a new system. Finally 1 last guy came but he turned off the system so I would not receive any more calls unannounced to me. So I thought it was weird and in july purposely set my alarm off and guess what no call so when I called in I was to it's the long weekend and we are short staffed. Than again they sent a repair man he fix a sensor but said I still need a new system. So for the heck of it I set my alarm and it went off this time the phoned the cops it was a new girl so she wasnt sure of what to do yet great now I have to pay the cops for coming. This time the manager calls his name is Alain he says he was sorry for what happened but he will figure something out and I will hear from him on the 19th of September well now another week has passed and no call so I have called again and told they will put a request for a manager to call but I probably wont get a call for another week this is unacceptable this is a horrible company to be with hope this helps someone out.

ADT charged my credit card for the installation that I had never signed up with them. They quoted me a special on the phone and when they rep came to the house, they quoted me a different price. I called to get them to credit the charges back to my credit card and they said they would but never did. I have had to call couple of times now and still nothing happened. I now will have to file a dispute with my visa. Bad service,

I am a 30 year ADT user. I QUIT. My equipment needed replacing, Wanted to charge me approximately $1000 to upgrade my system. No consideration of customer loyalty and the fact my bill is always paid. Very disappointed and unhappy to be treated so shabbily by a company I have supported for many, many year.

I called in to get information about ADT Home Security.  I did not want to rec'd an appointment as of yet, but sales convince me to talk to a team, that saves the call. After being advised I would get a $500 credit for more equipment, I was advised I need to pass credit check once that was done, I was told I need to give a credit card or debit card that will charge a $105 to get the tech out. Now, here where this is so wrong on so many levels, I asked about my credit run, will it be hard or soft, and advised me tech couldn't come out unless I gave it but didn't advised me my credit card would be needed or charge, and if I had known that I would not allow them to run my credit PERIOD, so wrong on so many levels to force customers into an appointment and credit check in order to get a tech out. This information should be told to all customers prior to doing anything PERIOD.

Salesman showed up at my front door and tried to strong arm me into making a purchase. I tried very politely, every way possible, to say no and get him to leave. He got aggressive and rude with me. The guy was a complete and utter jerk, a liar, and a bully. One of my sons told me that he had seen him looking through our windows and front door prior to me talking to him.

BE VERY careful. Without knowing it we got hooked into a three year obligation after having had them forever prior to this "renewal." They gave us a camera and called it the PULSE system and when we moved across the country after two years (had it for like seven in total), they told us it would cost us $662 to terminate our contract in a house we no longer owned. CRIMINALS!! Whatever you do, choose the other company.

I have just cancelled my ADT alarm system. After three false fire alarms with fire trucks arriving, I am done. Despite the fact that there was a failure with the smoke alarm the FD was called. The technology should have picked that up. Once I had even called them to tell them I was getting a low battery signal, still they called 911.

It's a shame I have to start out like this. I wouldn't have expected it from a Security company. It being a LIE. Why can't ADT tell the truth about their prices up front instead of tricking customers. AS a Veteran it is heartbreaking and sad to find you have been LIED by those whom you were once prepared to die for. I was told I would get a special deal because I was a veteran. My special deal was, $106. 00 upon initiating the contract. Next, upon checking the system which was already in place, I was told I had to Pay another $67. and that it would cover two months payment. I asked about the $106.00 and I was told I would received $100.00 Gift card as a promotional reduction. To my big surprise, instead of charging me the $67, I was charged $96. and that I would be refunded the differences. Wow, what a process only to pay for a security system. Why can't ADT just tell the Truth about the Cost right out? The obviousreason could be the company executives believe they are tricking some of their customer by Lying.. Sad! Thus, if ADT CEO and other company managers NEED to lie to trick some of their customers, I will Not go through the ridiculos Process of applying for the from ADT Reps Promised $100. gift Card. I will them keep it because they need it so bad they must LIE to Customers. Further I will post this online on a variety of social networking sites to see how many more were lied to. I respect one who tells the truth even if it costly, but if one lies to me, why should I respect that one?

There is not one positive thing I could say about ADT/defenders. It is a bait and switch had 2 different techs come here saying they installed something they didn't, tried to charge credit card 2 times the amount each time. We have filed a claim with the BBB still trying to get this all canceled after a year and a 1/2. Do not use this company!!

purchased pulse wireless system made rep aware we rented planned to buy home 1-1/2 years later we purchased home and boxed up alarm system. now we are told that my $1000.00 alarm unit which is wireless could not be used and should have stayed at property which i didnt own as a gift to new tenant IM PISSED!!! would not have purchased this junk knowing this

I do not recommend ADT services to any of my friends, and I don’t know I ever will. They told me the amount for added equipment would be split into 4 monthly payments and instead took the whole amount out of my account. When I called them they advised they would refund the extra amount but this was 2 weeks ago and I am still waiting. I have called their office everyday and today they advised: oh, we credited your account last night at 1 am. But I was told a week ago it was already done. The first time I called they would not assist because a contractor installed my service. The last I heard contractors are hired by your company and represent your company so take responsibility when there is a issue. They lie just to make a sale and get your money, and when a mistake is made they take their sweet time to resolve it. I have had payments returned and appointments cancelled because of this mistake by ADT. Do yourself a favor and call some other company. They are not worth the headache.

I was promised hundreds of dollars worth of equipment and all they did with put 6 door sensors and 2 in the hallways. I was also promised a doorbell camera with my package and they never bothered to mention there was a $299 activation fee to get it going. The guy who installed said I can buy my own equipment they would put it up for free but then when I called the ADT office they told me no we don't do that so they're contradicting each other. I feel this was very deceptive , they say one thing and dont follow through on it. My door bell camera was never installed and there suppose to give me a 100$ gift card which wasent followed through on until I complained . There rude on the phone too, they don't care that I was lied to . The installer was nice but the company is not to be trusted. They trick you into a contract by promising all kind of free goodies but dont mention the activation fees. I don't like being lied to , shady business. I would not recommend this company. they lie.

An urgent issue on my part, which seriously affect our business. is unimportant on ADT's part. Problem has been recurring for two weeks but they would not consdier prioritize our request. Even gave us a 7 hour window for the technician in the future. DO NOT SIGN WITH ADT, espicially if it is on your business facility.

i HAD A cOMMUNICATION failure on the keypad, and have been a customer for years. I called and was told I would need to wait two days to get a Tech out. I had no choice, so I agreed. On the appointed day, I was told the Tech would come between 12--5pm. I waited at home, and at 4:30pm called in to make sure the Tech was coming. I was told he would arrive at 5pm. At 5:20, when he still had not arrived, I called in and was told he LIED and told ADT that I had called HIM to say "nevermind". When I escalated--I had to wait another 24 hours to get a TECH--and AGAIN give them the FIVE HOUR window. Mr. Cory showed up--and had my cell number. He started to look at the system--and then told my housekeeper he was leaving and would be back TUESDAY----FOUR DAYS LATER!!!!!!---but didn't bother to call me and explain! When I again escalated this to Corporate Customer Relations--Rochelle--I was told Tuesday was the soonest, and they WOULD NOT put me ahead of any other business. I cancelled my service on the spot. However, I got Rochelle to agree--on a taped line--that their service is "appalling".

There is this add on and that add on.The Sales Rep sent to our home was the rudest person I've ever dealt with when he is looking for our business. Once you stop the ADT services, and cancel the account. They never stop the billing. Then start Harassing you for past due billing, by phone, email , mail . This is the worst company for security system service. Once YOU ARE IN YOU CAN NEVER GET OUT! they do not accept your cancellation. even you are cancelled still sending you statement for past due amount. Few months later you call ADT office and talk with the manager , supervisor the head of the customer service for few hours. get the cancellation confirmation. still the account is not close and you will get another past due notice.

First off, I’ve had ADT for years and have always been a great and loyal customer. We cancelled our service about a year ago because of payment issues. We basically couldn’t afford our service anymore. Last night 09/9/19 we decided to call them up and set up our service again. The woman and manager were amazing on the phone. Promised us a 1400 dollar credit to do our whole house and included security camera and smoke detectors that were not included in the 1400 along with a camera in front of the house. Needless to say they didn’t hold up to their promise and their tech was a completed a**hole and complains the entire time infront of is that He wasn’t going to make any money off the service. I’ll never ever use their services. They lost us for good.

My daughter wanted ADT and she had cash to pay for the installation fee. She called and asked if I would pay it with my debit card and she would bring me the cash. The charge was $548.11. I asked the installer to verify I would only be charged ONE time. He replied, "That was correct." Well I have just found out they have charged me 2 more times of $548.11 for a total of $1096.22. I have called twice already and have been hung up on intentionally by representatives that work at ADT. They keep telling me that there is nothing they can do. My daughter has also talked to them and let them know that I am telling the truth. BEWARE of ADT. I consider this fraud to knowingly charge someone's card without their PERMISSION! I have talked to several employees that work for ADT. They have all been RUDE and not helpful. They are refusing to refund my MONEY. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

High monthly fees with poor service. My alarm went off yes they contacted me but i wasn't near my phone so I missed the call after 20 minutes I noticed the call I called home everything was fine, daughter forgot I changed the code , but the alarm was still going off and when i called ADT they said they were going to dispatch the police...WHAT!!! The robbers would have taken everything by that time if there was a real emergency and I just got an email saying the price is going WHAT? AGAIN??? yes I'm looking for service through someone else. ADT needs to decrease the monthly fees for bad service NOT increase it

Monthly service charges were paid via debiting my bank account. This contract has been active for 19 years. During the first couple of years after the initial purchase of equipment and service, I received two notices of service rate increases. Then, many years passed. without notices of further price increases. Recently, by accident, I learned that the monthly debits to my bank account had more than doubled without my knowledge. Currently. I am getting the run-around re restitution for such devious, non-professional, business practices.

Horrible equipment. Motion sensors don't detect a person inside when in arm away. They convinced us to buy all this equipment, promised us a $100 gift card, it never showed up. When we call them about it, they keep transferring us and then disconnect. Terrible service, run the other way. Would not recommend this to anyone.

Horrible company. Be prepared to wait when calling ADT to talk with a corporate parrot that only wants to sell you something...not solve your problem. When I first started with ADT, they said they had 2 techs for the entire DFW area so I would have to wait. When our power went out and the fire alarm batteries went out, we had 5 alarms chirping at us within 2 hours at 1 AM. After waiting about 10 minutes per call for support, it took 3 "techs" to figure out I needed to find a ladder and remove the smoke detectors or not sleep that night. I couldn't cancel for 3 years. Only when you want to stop paying them money do they want to provide a service or lower their costs. Just say "no" and sleep knowing the peace of mind of not having to deal with ADT.

disgusting service !!!! never use their services. when changing the password, the employee of this company did not correctly install something. due to his error, the alarm did not work. once again called the master. and for this they are forced to pay 234 pounds. We called at 730 am today to cancel our service with ADT. We called 1 800 238 2727 to cancel as of 9/4/2019. They want us to pay thru 10/3/2019. We have been without service thru ADT since 8/12/2019. We have tried working with ADT to get this fixed but to no resolve. It is against all reasonable business practices to charge people for something they are not given or receive. We will remove the equipment ourselves and will cease payments

ADT IS very bad!! Their cameras do not work. They make you sign a contract for 3 years. Their system did not work for us when we needed it. I wanted out of the contract as they were not able to provide the security we needed but they do not care and make you fulfill your contract anyway. A very insecure company that makes you sign a 3 year contract anyway. They must be afraid their system is going to fail to make people sign that long. DO NOT GO WITH ADT SECURITY. Not a good company!!

I selected ADT they installed their system in my house, I spent a few extra dollars too be secure.. About 2400 extra dollars.. I've had more problems from the installation than I can imagine.. ADT is supposed too be professional, but their tech crews suck.. My system is shut down 99%of the time because my door sensors don't match up and keep going off.. I've called ADT for techs and they don't show up.. My account number is 13950353 if you don't believe me.. Yes I'm still getting billed and paying for my no good security system.. Todd Coulter

I just called ADT to request a new alarm fob because the top of it broke so I can't keep it on my keychain. I was told it would be 100 dollars to replace it even though it was their equipment that broke. I was told to go to Amazon and purchase some type of cover for it! I am a retired teacher and 100 dollars is a lot on my income. Now if I had lost it or did something to cause the break that would be different but I didn't do anything. Regardless of my personal situation I think 100 dollars is too much money to replace a faulty piece of their equipment. I have had ADT for 9 years so much for loyal customers. I will start looking immediately for another security company. If there is some type of cover sold on Amazon why doesn't ADT give them to customers to protect the fob. Maybe they are working with Amazon and they both benefit. My grandfather had a saying that a company is a body without a heart and no soul to save. Sounds like ADT.

I already had ADT equipment in my house when I moved into it. ADT had a technician waiting at my door when I moved in (WHILE I WAS MOVING FURNITURE INTO MY HOUSE) wanting to sign me up. Since I already had the equipment I thought there would be NO CONTRACT. So I signed up for their services thinking if I didn't like it I could cancel at any time. Those CON ARTISTS at ADT signed me up for a 3 YEAR CONTRACT. without my consent. NEVER said a word about there being a contract. I recently called to cancel my monthly subscription to ADT and that is how I found out about the 3 year contract. They wanted to charge me 1200 dollars to cancel my contract. So now I'm stuck with their BS service for the next 3 years. DO NOT SELL YOUR SOUL TO THIS SHITTY ASS COMPANY. They are a ripoff.

Terrible company. Locked us in to a three year contract when we first signed up. They raised the rates during the three years but we were unable to cancel. Went to cancel as soon as my contract was up and THEN told that it takes them "four weeks" to process a cancellation so I would have to pay for another month of service. Terrible billing practices and when I asked why it took 4 weeks to cancel, they said "it just does". Would never work with this company again and would not recommend them.
